Itunes on 2 computers - how to transfer music from one to other to upload

Hi -
Sorry about this, but I am new to itunes. I have itunes set up on 2 computers and want to upload both itunes onto my nano. Since I can only sync with one computer - how do I transfer those files from the other computer to the one that I upload from? I don't want to loose my music and I don't want to copy all of it onto cd's either - way too many. I am sure there is an easy way to do this, I just can't find out how to. Any help would be AWESOME.

If you don't have enough room on your iPod to move all of your music in one shot, you can network them and share your iTunes Music folder, then simply add the music to your iTunes library.

You can't. Music purchased from iTunes is associated in perpetuity (like, forever) to the account from which it was originally purchased. There is not a way to change it.
It is possible, but clumsy, to manage music from multiple accounts. Unless you have some unusual requirement, it is best to use just a single account.

I'm afraid you cannot transfer purchased items from one account to another: this is a limitation imposed by the copyright owners. However recent purchases from the iTunes Store are not DRM-protected so you may be able to play them anyway if you manually copy them across. You will need to drag the out of the original iTunes to a folder on the desktop, and then transfer that to your new Mac and drag them into iTunes there. Try it with a few there and see if it works.
Should you have any movies, though, these cannot be transferred.

You can not transfer music (or anything else, for that matter) from one Apple ID to another. However, the iTunes library doesn't care which ID was used for the purchase. All music, apps, movies, etc. from multiple IDs can reside on the same library in the same iTunes.
Before I continue, I need a bit more information. You referred to your mom's ID and your dad's ID. Do you also have your own ID? Which music and apps, etc. is actually on the iPod? Which music and apps, etc. is actually in the iTunes library?

To have same library on both of your authorized machines, you need first locate, on both of them, the iTunes Media Folder location (Preferences > Advanced) then you need make them syncronized. How to do this, will exists some tools, I will not go further about that stuff, you can google them... back to topic:
After you do any change to the files content of one library, you can just drag and drop the media folder on iTunes, it will rescan the library itself and update all changes you made.
Be aware if your machines are authorized on multiple accounts, you need be logged on store with the account used to purchase any drm-enabled song you want to listen.

How do I transfer iTunes music to another comp account on the same comp. I have Windows 7 and I made my own Windows account. all of my music is on the iTunes on the other admin. account. So how do i transfer all of my stuff on iTunes to my own account? I've tried going into Preferences then advance but that's not doing anything. I'm running the lastest iTunes. I just upgraded it today.

Move the music files or the entire iTunes library to a shared folder.
If you moved individual files, open iTunes from the desired account and drag them to the library in the iTunes application window.
If you moved the entire library, launch iTunes with the Shift key held down and choose that instance of it.

Yes and no. Apple does allow for downloading of past purchases via iTunes, it would require installing iTunes on that computer and logging in/authorizing with your account.

Might be a good idea to find out what is "broke" with your comptuer and if it can be fixed... unless it went up in flames, there's a very good chance it can be fixed at minimal cost.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
There is more than one way, but to get it all on all devices, connect the first device to iTunes and choose to transfer the music from the device from the file menu. Once everything is in iTunes connect the second device, select the device in the device list, navigate to the music tab and check the content you wish to sync, click apply/sync.

Just put all the music files into a folder and put it on say, your desktop. When you open up iTunes, click "File", then "Add Folder to Library..." then go to your desktop and select that folder. Click "Open" and your music should be on iTunes.
