ITunes on ios7 download music and movie error
I've been getting a download error when buying or renting movies or buying music.
"Download error. Tap to retry"
Then I get
"Unable to download song" select Done or Retry
If you select Retry, you get the same message as above
Problem is, if I can't download a rental movie, I can't watch it

I have this problem still: 3rd Gen 64GB iPad.
Downloading any video from the iTunes store is apt to result in this problem about 30-40% of the time on rented or purchased movies or purchased tv shows. I have noticed that it doesn't happen with SD tv shows as often as HD (probably due to file size) and that is how I get around it sometimes -- just grit my teeth, give up on the HD and suffer through the lower resolution for that tv show (grumbling iOS7 poor QA related unpleasantries under my breath)
Basically if the download has to be paused or is interrupted odds are that I'll never be able to complete that download... it'll try and try and sometimes result in a download error that won't go away and sometimes it will just keep downloading and then starting the download over at some random time before it completes.
I have found that calling iTunes support and asking them to clear that download will then allow me to start over and usually finish.
It is EXTREMELY annoying and hopefully they are working on a fix and it woul benefit them to do so if thre are many in this situation becasue I buy fewer shows and movies right now because it's such a royal pain to get them to my iPad to watch while flying or in hotels while travelling fo work each week.
If anyone has found a viable solution please post because calling iTunes is the best I've come up with so far and while I can't say one way or another it does appear to be related to storage or file system access.
Also my iPad freezes occassionally and I've noticed a possible correlation between a freeze and a dwnload restarting.

I can tell you this - Google can turn up a whole world of possibilities if you are looking for an answer to something that is not supported.
Before you do anything else - were you able to download other content before you upgraded? Music? Movies? As far as I know - the content in that article was the only content that was available in India anyway and updating the iOS should have made no bearing on what you can download. -

i got an iPad and all my app's, music, and movies are on it, but when i try to download some apps to mi iPhone, they doesn't appear on the purchased tab, how could i move them back to itunes so i can access thru iCloud? i have an 2nd generetion ipad and an iphone 5, thanks for you answers!
(I think the daughter got he better end of the deal!) I believe if you change the password and user id one of the devices it will stop that from occurring. But I'm not the one to tell you how to do it; someone like "Illaass" (Illaass seems to know how to correct / fix almost anything!) will know how if you don't. Just look for the "cat" icon.

The problem I have is that it wants me to uninstall all itunes and related software then reboot and download itunes installer. If I do this will I loose all music and movies form my Itunes library?
Under normal circumstances, an uninstall/reinstall doesn't touch your content. (That being said, it's still always a good idea to maintain a current backup at all times in case of disasters of any sort.)

I plugged my ipod touch into my computer to sync it and it came up with an error message saying that it encoutered an internal error and it refused to sync.
I then unplugged it and plugged it back in and this time it told me that I needed to restore from a backup or set it up as a new ipod. I tried to restore from a backup but it came up with the error message "Backup session failed" every time. I then looked on my ipod and all of my music and movies are gone though it still says that they are on the ipod in itunes. I decided to use the restore function and let that finish. After restoring it still doesn't allow me to sync or back up and The music and movies can still not be seen. I am currently attempting to copy the music and movies to my ipod though this did not work with my apps as they transfered but when I attempted to open them they just crash... If someone could please help me it would be great. It is driving me crazy.If you get an error that says can't backup, try moving the existing backup file to a safe location and thry again. again. You can't, unless you bought them from the iTunes Store on the Apple TV.
The Apple TV can receive content only, it does not sync content back, except items that you have purchased on the Apple TV. -

You say "ripped" music. That is not stored on iCloud unless you subscribe to Match. As for iTunes Store purchases:

Select the iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
Click on Purchased on the right side under Quick Links.
You can re-download your available previous purchases.
Of course if you had a backup of your files you would have been back up adn running iTunes by the time you read all this. -
Every time i go on my itunes its as if i have just got it and i have never used it before it's as if it resets over night and the next day i have to load all my apps, music and movies back on to it. if anyone can help or if anyone knows someone who can please say something because its a right pain in the neck. please helpYour problem is normally caused by a program locking the iTunes library so that iTunes can't close properly. There have been a number of causes fro this.

Work around:
In Control Panel, turn off Vaio Content Folder Watcher and VAIO Content Metadata Intelligent Analyzing Manager.

Sony has issued upgrades for some models, check you Sony download site to see if there is one available.
I would check the work around first.
If that's not it, try temporarily disabling you continuous backup to see if that is the cause. -
Okay i had to install Itunes onto my new OS because window's Vista messed up on me and i can't get any of my old purchases back from my account such as music and movies any ideas on how to get them back (i do not have the folder that contains old items from the last itunes or anything from that OS because it had a virus and i just wanted windows 7)

When i sync my music from com to my Iphone and movie clips I can't play them. It look likes it is in iCloud. Next to the music and movie clips there is a download sign (circle with a dot inside)
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I can't make purchases anymore in the App "Clash of Clans" and yet I can purchase music and movies from the iTunes store. Can someone help?
What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?

To use the iTunes Store in a country you need a credit card issued in that country, billed to an address in that country, and also be physically present in that country when using the store. Basically all you have access to would be anything offered in South Africa unless you move to a different country.
It's the media owners who get to tell Apple where and where they cannot sell their media. I'm sure Apple would be happy to take your money but if the media companies are not happy then they can say no to sales in SA.
Even if there were a way to bypass this we certainly couldn't tell you on this forum because it would violate the Terms of use of this web site and get the whole topic removed. -
I got my ipad2 almost a month back. But the ITune store only shows two option, podcast and ituneU...can somebody tell me hot to buy music and movies from the store?
It depends on what country you are in - not all content types are available in all countries. A full list of what is available where is shown on this page . If you are in one of those countries where only podcasts and iTunes U are available, the unfortunately you won't be able to buy music and films from Apple (and the terms of use of the stores state that you cannot use another country's store). Are there other music purchase download sites in your country ?
