Itunes on WHS 2011? Help
I am trying to get iTunes working on my server running windows home server 2011
I have so far installed the follwing
iTunes 10, with lates tupdates installed 16/10/12
QuickTime
ihomeserver
I Have copied over my old library to the server and placed it all in the "music share" folder. i started itunes holding shift and changed the library to this new location.
Every time I plug my iPhone 4 in to the server (via USB cable) i try to sync/backup, and I get error message (below)
Also when opening iTunes I get another error about audio config (i know this is probably to do with server not having sound card)
What am I missing. please help

C:\ProgramData\Apple\Lockdown
copyed everything from here to the server same location.

I have just upgraded from scratch, from WHS to WHS 2011. 16TB Server split this way:
2x 1TB Raid 1 (Data)
2x 1TB Raid 1 (Music & Photo)
4x 1TB Raid 10 (Security Video)
8x 1TB Simple Volume Drives (Movies 1-8)
All my drives are visible in Disk Manager and in the WHS2001 Dashboard but none of the drives are showing up in Shared Folders or in Explorer of a connected PC....is there something I have to do to get those drives shared so any connected PC can see them.??
Been stuck for a while please help.

I keep getting error 4310 when i try to burn a playlist to a cd. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled itunes that did'nt help, is there anything else I can try?

thanks for your idea but the environment I'm working in is designed to support IE and is optimized for the use of the Adobe feature. By using the IE the SVG graphics can be saved as *.svg in a dedicated folder but not so by using Firefox. The graphic window area shows no content. The file can not be downloaded.
An additional issue is - may be - that I'm working on my home device with LINUX instead of Windows (where everything works). -

I have a WHS 2011 with 5 drives
2 X 500gig drives, where the first drive is my C: drive and that is backed up to the second drive.
3 X 3000gig drives in a WHS (software) Raid 5 configuration and this was the machines effective D: drive.
one of the drives in the Raid died. In the process of replacing the broken drive. I have some how removed the D: drive (Server Manager > Disk Manager) and now have 2 of the drives showing as 'Unallocated'. before I did this there were no files lost
(So I believe the Raid 5 protected me from the disk loss)
I am hoping that the two remaining drives and a replacement, i can rebuild the RAID. The only option I can see is to create a new RAID and I am loathe to do this in case it formats the drives and looses everything.

You can try to repair the Raid 5 volume. The RAID-5 status of the volume should change to Regenerating and then Healthy.

Backup issues after WHS 2011 UEFI hot fix 2781272
After adding the UEFI hotfix 278272 to my WHS 2011 server backups of my Windows 7 Pro are not completing. It will back up the C & D drives but no longer backs up the E drive which are mirrored 1TB drives that I have all of my data stored. It was
working fine before the hotfix but since the patch no good. I have removed the machine from the backups on the server and removed all of the backups and reinstalled the connector software several times, but still no good. I have run the chkdsk on the drives
and no errors are found. The drives are hpfs formated and show healthy. The last time I performed the removals the E drive does not even show up on the list of drives to backup. Before I remove the hotfix, which MS does not recommend, I figured I check if

TS140 Drivers - what ones for WHS 2011?
Unfortunately, despite using the EasyStartup CD to install my OS none of the drivers got installed. I am now going through the driver page on this site and trying to figure out how many of these I really need. I installed the video driver successfully.
What is the SUNIX I/O controller driver for?
How do I know which Chipset driver I need? There are 5 to choose from and the device manager on my system isn't helping me figure out what components I really.
I am using WHS 2011 which is a flavor of Windows Server 2008 R2.

EricWindows Home Server was never validated nor tested on the TS140 which is most likely why the drivers were not properly installed for your system when using EasyStartup. I can't be for certain which drivers you will need to get it to work so it may be a process of elimination until you find the correct ones...if they work at all being that it is not an officially supported OS.

When I click on any of my movie or TV shows in Itunes I immediately get an error message that says Itunes has stopped working and closes the program. I can sync the movies and shows to my phone okay but I can't watch on Itunes. Can anyone help?

Everytime i eject my ipod and reconnect it all my music is gone. and sometimes while i try adding music to it. itunes completely freezes. please help. and sometimes when i plug it back into my PC i have to rename my ipod and such
Antivirus has a tendency to freeze iTunes sync Operation with iPod Classic, causing a timeout, which corrupt your iPod filesystem, so when iTunes can't read the iPod, it is pointing to this problem. Other causes is when your iPod hardisk is dying, or your battery is dying causing hardisk crashes.
My suggestion.
Connect your iPod to the PC and run chkdsk, to fix any iPod diskerror, then disconnect it, after chkdsk complete.
Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
Stop the Antivirus program
Connect your Ipod to the PC
When iTunes Open up, Restore your iPod please, this is for iTunes to map correctly, to fix the corrupted filesystem.
When Restore complete, eject the iPod and reconnect again.
Sync your ipod, preferably manually Manage in small batches and disconnect after every batch, to check that all is well, since you got such a huge library.
When all sync is complete, and iPod disconnected, start back your Antivirus and connect back the Internet.
If this doesn't resolve your problem, then let me know.

I was able to get iTunes launched (with the help of Tech Support) in a very unsafe environment. I owe it to those who may need this after me. It will get you going, but you will be extremely vulnerable to internet virus assaults. Please do not use this approach, until you have exhausted every other available solution for your issue in the KB.
There are three Steps 1) Uninstall 2) Disble and 3) Reinstall.
UNISTALL Uninstall iTunes using Windows utility Add Remove Program available in Control Panel.
DISABLE Disable all third party System Services and Startup Items using using MSCONFIG utility as described in Service Document http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=302538
RE-INSTALL Re-install iTunes6 + QT7. Launch it under the Selective Startup Option.
It worked ! You realize among other things at this point you have your Antivirus and Firewall disabled. When I started my computer in the Normal Startup Option, iTunes fails to work again. So I have ahead of me the long and ardous task of ruling out the service that is causing conflict with iTunes6. Then work with the software vendor to arrive at a solution. -
