ITunes opening error

Well i just downloaded the newest version of iTunes. But when i was finished updating/installing and it tried to open iTunes, it says the following(translated from Danish):
"iTunes has found an error and is closning. Were sorry for you coincidence.
If you were in progress with something then you have possiblyn lost the informations you worked with.
Give Mircosoft a note about the error
There have been made a error report which you can send to us. Vi vil treat the repport secret and anonymously.
To get the data of the error report you must click here.
Send Don't Send"
And ive tried the following so far:
- Using the old installer from the previous version(happends the same)
-Deleting install and temp files
-Moving my music libary from the original folder
-Updating windows with the latest files
-Trying to install Quicktime alone and then install iTunes
-Repairing, Uninstalling, Reinstalling , Rebooting count less times
So what should i do?
Dell   Windows XP Pro

I FINNALY GOT IT TO WORK AFTER 10 HOURS FIXING
The problem is that the installer somehow managed to delete our quicktime uninstall files and others too. So windows register quicktime as installed but it is only some, and what would a normal repsone to this be... repair it. And there is the problem, the uninstall file was also deleted so if you go to add remove programs quicktime isnt there. Now to delete quicktime completeley so that you can install iTunes and Quicktime from a new install, you have to delete all quick time files.
Do the following:
Go to search and type quicktime, delete all the files showing(if they are connected to quicktime, fx. not if it is an quicktime plugin to a browser)
Then go to run, type Regedit and when you get to it go to edit>search
Now all folders with keys and values it finds must be deleted, without expection
Now go to add remove programs and click on iTunes and choose repair. You could also uninstall and then use your install.
This is a huge problem with todays applications: You relie on one uninstall file, and if you loose that and the program has an error, you need to delete the program mannuly sigh
In my opinion every program should have at least one backup uninstallers so you dont relie on it

  • Itunes opening error (-51) Please help!

I am able to open itunes under one user, however every other user is unable to open it. I have tried re-installing and it did not help. Please assist! I do not care about sharing music between users, I just want to be able to open the program on more then one user profile.

First off, thank you so much for replying : )
I followed your steps on the user that is not able to open it. It still came up as error -51 when I attempted to open itunes. I did the same steps on the user that is able to open itunes and when the computer restarted and I opened itunes, it led me to the itunes setup guide thing. It still works just fine on one user but the other one gets -51 still. Please help! Thx.

  • ITunes open error: "The folder "iTunes" cannot be found or created, ..."

I have a laptop with iTunes installed. My IT guys have our LAN set up so that when I login on our LAN, all files in the "My Documents" folder are syncronized with a copy of those files on our server. When I'm connected to the LAN, iTunes starts and works just fine. I can download music, syncronize my iPod and all features work.
When I disconnect from the LAN and try to start iTunes I get the following error message:
"The folder “iTunes” cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the “My Music” folder."
I had the same problem on a previous laptop and solved it by putting an alias of the iTunes music folder where iTunes was looking for it. Unfortunately, I cannot get the same method to work on my new laptop. I have put aliases of various folders in many different locations hoping to trick iTunes into finding my network alias without success.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions?

Yes. Step 3 is the key. Thanks...
jtoons: The problem is that iTunes expects the "My
Music" folder to be both available and writable.
That's where the actual library files are stored.
When that folder is not available, you can't run
    iTunes.
Since your My Documents folder is on the server, and
the default location for the My Music folder is
inside the My Documents folder, it won't work unless
    you can access the server.
The solution to this is to make a local My Music
folder and configure Windows to use that one instead.
    Here's how to do it:
    1. Download TweakUI from Microsoft.
    2. Create a new folder somewhere on your local
    computer. Call it My Music.
    3. IMPORTANT: Copy the contents (Not the folder
itself! Just the contents!) of the old My Music
folder in your My Documents folder into the new My
    Music folder.
    3. Using TweakUI, change the system's "My Music"
folder to be the new folder on your local drive.
Follow those instructions precisely and it'll work.
Skip step 3 and you make things annoyingly
    complicated.

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Itunes opens with error -50

Itunes opens with error -50 on my Mac. Once open signing in causes error 5002. Signing in from App store just fails. My Mac pc does not appear to be registered anymore and I can't sign in. On screen Support buttons don't connect so can't contact support online. Tried all the work arounds in discussions but no joy. Even tried deleting itunes to start agin but you can do that apparently. For one work around I Signed in through Safari to change payment details but payment option was not displayed. Getting really p'd off.  All is ok on my iphone/ipad etc but not my main pc. Any printable suggestions appreciated.

Found a fix that worked, didnt even need to refresh the network settings
Click the Finder icon in the Dock.
Choose Go to Folder from the Go menu.
    Type:  /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration
    Click Go.
In the Finder window, locate the file named "NetworkInterfaces.plist" and drag this file to the Trash.
    Restart your computer.
Once your computer has restarted, you will not be able to connect to the Internet. You will need to refresh your network settings to be able to connect again:
Choose System Preferences from the Apple () menu.
Choose Network from the View menu.
If you're using Mac OS X v10.4, choose New Location from the Locations menu.
Click Apply Now at the bottom right.
If your network connection requires any special settings, you will need to put them back in at this point. You would have received these from your ISP or network administrator.

  • CAN'T OPEN iTunes, get message "can't open Error (-50)?

Can't open iTunes, get error message (-50)?

The 50 when launching iTunes can indicate a damaged Apple Application Support. So first I'd try a Repair install of your Apple Application Support.
Restart the PC. In your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select Apple Application Support, click "Change" and then click "Repair".
Does the repair install go through okay? If so, does itunes launch without the (-50)?

  • Itunes 12 will not open - error Message 2

I recently purchased an ipod nano for my daughter.  When trying to sync the nano with ITunes.  ITunes was shutting down as soon as I would plug the Nano into my laptop.  I removed ITunes and reinstalled iTunes.  Now, ITunes will not even open and I keep receiving the following error message:
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes.  Please uninstall Itunes and re install ITunes.
    Error 2 (Windows Error 2)
I have tried removing and re installing iTunes several times and I have also followed other suggestions such as deleting bonjour, mobile me and other folders and starting over with a new install of ITunes with no luck.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
    Cheers,

    Thanks for reply.
I understood that Sandeep Singh helped you with the Premiere Elements issue of the 0xe000007b error, but what about the Photoshop Elements problem that you asked about when you wrote the following?
Now, all of a sudden, Photoshop Elements 12 will only load the trial version and I loaded the full version from same cd at the same time as Premier.
That is why I wrote to ask the following, asking
Have you resolved your Photoshop Elements 12 concerns since your December 12, 2013 post (5)? If not....
Are you saying that, if you get the Photoshop Elements 12 tryout dialog presented to you,
    a. you cannot ignore the Continue Trial
    and
    b. then use the License this product field to insert your purchased serial number?
If the Photoshop Elements 12 matter is resolved, how did you do that?
    Thanks.
