ITunes opens and within seconds states it has to close. I've uninstalled

iTunes will open, but within seconds states it 'Has to close'. Occasionally, I'll see a notice for an update and quickly click to 'Download update?', but when I click on 'Download', a new page opens with 'Thanx for updating', except it hasn't downloaded the update. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times, but that hasn't helped. My phone is a 5S and it won't sync to iTunes either.

Try working through TS1717: iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues to start with.
Otherwise, for general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

The hub may not be broken per se, but Apple has made adjustments to the limits on current that can be drawn from ports.
You probably need a new hub.

Downloaded MP3 files not visible in playlist. I can find them by going through my desktop Start button and typing in the name of the file and clicking on it, then iTunes opens and plays it but I still can't see it in the playlist.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall move on to the next item)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.

Anyone noticed that "IF" ITunes opens and crashes...

"IF" you can get ITunes to open and it crashes, look at the lower right of your task bar. The ITunes icon is still there. Now move your mouse "over" the icon... it will disappear. It will not disappear if you do not put your mouse over it??
If you continue to open ITunes it will build another Icon for everytime you got it to open. Put your mouse over them... poof... gone.
Apple, you may want to take a look at the memory leaks or pockets inside ITunes... when your applicaton crashes, good software development practices would force anything ITunes related to unload.

More info: Downgrading to 10.6.6 made iTunes work again.
When 10.6.8 was released (last week) I upgraded to it but it has the same problem. iTunes does not go to the next track when it reaches the specified stop time - only on music videos (audios work fine).
Tried downgrading to 10.6.6 and the problem still remains. Now I am stuck with it and don't know what to do!

I found a solution in case your MATCH is still buggy...
JUST BOOT YOUR MAC HOLDING THE SHIFT KEY (until you see a progress bar).
Then in itunes disable and re-enable iTunes Match.
It should rescan all your library and eventually works.
At the end just reboot your Mac normally.

On which OS are you working? Is your Reader updated to the latest?
If you are on Windows you can use AcroCleaner tool which will remove Reader 11 from your system.
Reboot after clean up and then try reinstall from here
