ITunes opens but gets error message when itouch connected
I had my iTouch connected to my laptop when I was prompted to upgrade iTunes. Unfortunately, I didn't think about removing the iTouch, and now iTunes will open on my laptop, but the minute I plug in my iTouch, I get a Microsoft error in iTunes and it closes. This also happens now when I connect my iTouch to my PC (both have Windows XP). I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled, but it still occurs. Please help. What could have happened?
Thanks, Sandy
Hairpants: I have the exact same problem with my iPhone, but only on certain Apple TV's. YouTube (via Safari) and TED (app) both play at home fine, but I get the "error occurred loading this content" on the ATV at work. Very frustrating.
Winston: I wouldn't think an app wouldn't "block" AirPlay, but rather wouldn't build support into the app. But I am not an app developer, so I'm just guessing. Example: the new YouTube app only support audio over AirPlay, not video. You don't get an error on your ATV, it just doesn't push the video data.

Have 55GB available, but get error message when trying to download movie to add storage
Go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage. Let all of the apps load in the window. You can see how much storage you have used and how much you have left. You will need about twice the size of the download of free storage in order to be able to download the movie. Also, the iOS will not let you use every bit of available storage on the device.
You can delete content in there if needed, but if you sync with iTunes it's a good idea to transfer purchased into iTunes and backup your iPad before you delete content. If you use iCloud only, backup with iCloud before you delete any content.

Cannot open but get error message
As a result of backing up Itunes and my music, I now, for some reason, cannot open itunes but get the message - The folder "itunes" cannot be found or created, and is required. The default location for this folder is inside the "my music" folder.
I checked the website, and tried a suggestion to use a download named "tweek UI" from a site called Powertoys for windows XP. THe download directed me to the my music folder whic isn't there! Does anyone have any experience with a situation like this? Grateful for some help!... when I check the 'the shell folder' (per the instructions) it has a "My Music" folder title that has no data across from it on the right side of the window. Do I need to write something in that blank space or leave it blank?
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, hoffjump.
The Nigel Carpenter post I linked to no longer displays all of steps 5 and 6 in the procedure.
Fortunately Discussion-eer polydorus has been able to provide an alternative link to a post by Buegie that spelled out the complete "fix".
1. On the start menu go to ‘Run’
2. Type in RegEdit
3. Navigate in RegEdit to HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
4. Delete any entry for ‘My Music’
5. Navigate up the tree to HKEYCURRENTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders
6. Make sure there is an entry for ‘My Music’ and is pointing to C:\Documents and Settings\username\My Documents\My Music (you can edit the value by double clicking it)
7. Close RegEdit
8. Reboot
I think Step 6 answers your question. If not, post back. -

Web video plays on iPhone but gets error message when sent to Apple TV via AirPlay
I belong to a fee-based subscription video site. Videos play perfectly on my iMac, iPhone 4S, and iPad 1. However, when I try to play them on my Apple TV by sending them via AirPlay from my iPhone or iPad, I get the "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later." message. Videos from all other sites (YouTube, Facebook, other subscription sites) all work fine. I've tried restating, resetting, unplugging the Apple TV, cable router, and Airport Extreme. This problem affects both my Apple TV 2 and Apple TV 3. Any ideas why I'm having this trouble with video from this one site? Is there some kind of video format that works on an iPhone but not an Apple TV? Is the site perhaps purposely preventing AirPlay streaming?

After latest iTunes update I get error message when syncing:
"iTunes could not sync information to the iPhone "name" because a connection could not be established to the iPhone". Same for my iPad, same for both even after upgrading to IOS6.0. Any ideas?
I tried to carry out a restore on the iPhone but iTunes cannot back it up.
Is the latest iTunes broken? or is it just me?
I am on Windows 7 64 bit, Never had this problem till the latest iTunes update. So I am unclear, did you purchase these songs or import them from a cd?
If you imported them and still have the CD try importing them again and see if they work the delete the others.
Or if you purchased from itunes re-dowwnload and see if they work. Maybe they are corrupted files and this should resove it. -
using Bridge CS5 to exporting to flickr, but get error message "Unable to connect to Flickr, please check your internet connection and try again." please help?
I'm experiencing the same problem. Don't think I can help, but maybe I can offer an explanation. It looks as if Flickr has changed their API and Adobe will need to update the export plugin to comply to get it working again. I found this announcement on Flickr:

Just recently getting error message when downloading podcasts. Says "The iTunes Library file cannot be save. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." Doesn't happen every time. Using Windows 7. What can I do? The files seem to be there but I don't know if they are being backed up to cloud.
Hi, DickmoAZ.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
This sounds like a permission issue most likely with the iTunes Media folder. Here is an article that will help you troubleshoot this issue.

I can't no longer access Itunes. Keep getting error message 127. I tried uninstalling Itunes, but can't. So frustrated. Please help.
First, if you've moved the iPhoto library to an external drive, make sure that drive is mounted by opening it in the Finder.
The issue can be caused by sharing the photo library on a network (against Apple's advice) or by opening it in more than one local user account at the same time. You may be able to clear the error by logging out or restarting the computer. If not, do as follows.
Quit iPhoto if it's running, locally or on any file-sharing client. Select the iPhoto Library in the Finder. Usually it's in the Pictures folder, but you may have moved it somewhere else. Right-click or control-click the library icon and select
Show Package Contents
from the popup menu. In the folder that opens, navigate to
Database/apdb/lockfile.pid
and move that file, if it exists, to the Trash. Close the Finder window.

I am getting error messages when importing CD's. I keep getting a message saying 'unable to connect to CDDB server'. I run itunes on a macbook pro. Any ideas/solutions?
Don't worry I've sorted it! I just had to turn off Reminders as well in iCloud. Calendar then worked fine, even when I turned Calendar and Reminders back on.

JAXB 1.3 can't parse W3 SOAP 2003-05 envelope XML schema
Hello, I was trying to use JAXB to parse the MMAP schema from the SMS Forum (http://www.smsforum.net/schemas/mmap/v1.0/mmap.xsd). I finally tracked it down to XJC choking on the included SOAP envelope schema's use of the xml:lang attribute for a tag
