ITunes overwrote data on my iphone now i have lost all my pictures I have taken between the last backup and now.
I have been trying to contact the support team however my support has expired, I connected my iphone 4s to my computer and it started to sync nothing new, however, when I looked at my phone it actually restored my phone to a previous back up and i have none of my photos/videos I have taken between the last backup and now.
How can i get these files back off my phone I have tried a number of restore software sites but they only see what was restored to my phone via the back-up from Itunes not the pictures that where taken over the last two weeks.
Please can anyone help...
It doesn't do that by itself. You have to manually initiate a restore.
If you weren't backing up to iCloud and you didn't have Photo Stream on so the photos could upload to the cloud, they're gone. You can't recover them.

Are you talking about restore of the iPhone from its backup, or something else? The first time you sync an iOS device on each calendar day iTunes will update the backup set for the device. If you remove data from the device and backup, then the backup of that data has gone. For this reason it actually makes sense to restore an iOS device periodically as, once used for a restore, the backup set is archived and a new one created.
Ideally you would have backed up these pictures somewhere. If you enabled it, you may find pictures in your Photo Stream.
In general you need to keep a backup copy of all your important files. iTunes will let you download most past purchases from the store but backing up other content is down to you. The user Backup your iTunes for Windows library with SyncToy suggests a way to do this for iTunes, but the same tool can be used to preserve other folders of data.

I would like retrieve all my data from my IPhone 4S after I lost all my data due constant Apple logo on! After I restored this phone I lost all my contacts, text messages, pictures, videos..!!! The question I have is if I never backed up to iCloud and iTunes is there any way I can retrieve all my data that was before restoring this iPhone 4S. Please help! ? I greatly appreciated !!!
If you never synced your phone to your computer and your contacts were not synced to iCloud or another cloud-based service, everything is gone. You will have to start fro scratch.

You really need to try this on a computer, not on the iPad.
Seeing how what is in the cloud is also on the iPad, if the content is not on the iPad, there is a good chance that the content is lost. But you can try logging into www.icloud.com in a web browser on a computer and log into your account and see if you can get into the Pages app. You may have to sign up for iCloud drive if you didn't do so already. Make SURE you that you read the blurb that will pop up in that window in iCloud for more information. -

Yup, your question and Diane's answer helped me also. Tho' I had had problems before getting into the iTunes store I always managed to find a way. Today they had me blocked cold with the "Update to 10" advert no matter what I did. Other questioners are being told, incorrectly as it turns out, that they have to update their OS to accomodate iTunes 10 and upgrade to iTunes 10. I did the download which did not take up much more room on my crowded old hard drive and now I'm back in business.

Since swapping my broken iphone 4s for a new one i have lost all my pictures from camera roll but they are still saved in my instagram. Is there a way to get them saved back to phone? Also my whatsapp is not working since upgrading to IOS6??
Please help.You can not put them back in the camera roll. The camera roll is temporary storage for new photos taken with the phone. You can sync them back to your phone in another album using iTunes.
As for whatsapp, ask the developer. That is not an Apple product. -
I have an IMac. I put a folder on the desk top and now want to delete it. The folder seems to be locked. I went into Get Info and attemted to unlock the folder and delete it. Won't go away. There is nothing in the folder. How do I unlock this folder and delete it? When I try to delete it, I'm asked for my password which I put in and is accepted, but will not delete the folder. Any help would be great.

I synced my iPhone 5S to the wrong backup, and now there is an error?
The error message says that the iPhone file backed up on my computer is either corrupt or is not compatible with the phone I want to back it up to.
I have now synced my iPhone 4 and my new 5S to the wrong backup, and lost about 2 years of contacts and data.
I guess I now have to extract that data from my time capsule, which my mbp tells me I last backed my phone up in June 13 (really?).
So question is, how do I find that data, and how do I restore it?

ThanksI tried that too. I tried plugging in headphones after reading a post that maybe something was stuck in the headphone jack and the phone thought headphones were plugged in.
PS when the headphones are plugged in, I can hear it ringing. -

I backed up my iphone5 using iCloud before downloading the new ISO software. I have now lost all my pictures and messages as the backup doesn't seem to have worked even though it says last backed up today 17:12. Is there anything I can do?
Backing up doesn't change or delete anything on the phone. I am guessing you restored your phone using iCloud.
If you did not have a backup of it made before you did 'whatever it was you did', then the information is gone. -
ITunes overwrote data on my iPhone
So my iPhone 4 was stolen while I was travelling. I bought an iPhone 5C to replace it.
When I came home, weeks later, I connected my phone to my computer and said 'yes' when iTunes asked whether I wanted to retrieve the backup from the computer. I didn't think it would overwrite the photos that I had taken since buying the new phone and all the texts that I had received, but it did.
Is that stuff just gone?

How can I transfer an App purchased on iTunes on my pc to my iPhone 4s. I have tried synching but this does not make the app appear on my iPhone. I cant use wifi as my chip was fried on the latest update.
When you tried syncing, did you connect the phone, then click on the phone icon near the top left of iTunes, then click on Apps under Settings in the sidebar, then find the app in question and click the Install button beside it before clicking Sync at the bottom right?

I converted to icloud weeks ago, but then all of my old emails in my inbox disappeared in the last week. I can't find them anywhere. On icloud.com, on any of my devices, no where. They have evaporated. Help???
