Itunes page deleted,
I'm actually withered, and in tears from this. I purchased 4 new songs yesterday, brought my ipod into work to download them to my ipod. I'll admit, I'm not very computer savy, and lately my itunes keeps asking for my password etc, as its been telling me my password is incorrect...which its not...I also emailed itunes/apple about my persistant problem of constantly changing my password to no reply....Having to change my password via email, and security question, I've now got an empty ipod...nothing, completely empty. I am using a new computer (completely new) but I thought I was authorised to use up to 5 computers for your itunes page...not in my case it seems.
Is there any way I can retrieve my old songs, which I've paid for I might add, can I get them back? When I load onto my itunes page through the new computer, its completely blank, this is of course after changing my password god knows how many times.

When my ipod touch is in recovery mode (when I try to re-store it) the itunes page sayes the website has been timed out and so it won't re-store. There is a limited time, whilst restoring the ipod, it lasts for approx 5 mins, then asks to start again all over again. Can anyone please help me?

Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart.
Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw. -
Not able to Post PodCast Photo icon and description on iTune page...
I Have been working hard and reading everything, Yet I have not been able to understand how to post my _photo icon_ and the description for my podcast page. I am working with Garage Band and iWeb '09.
The photo shows up if you click on the podcast, but not on the main itunes page.
Can I just work from the programs of Garage Band, iWeb and iTunes for this podcast or do I need to the file programing to run things? I have yet to find out how to _add search/key words_ for people to find my podcast.
I really want to make an announcement of this podcast but not till I have everything working. I have been trying many ways and things just do not seem to work.

Open your podcast page, click on 'Themes' in the bar along the bottom (I did this in iWeb 08, I don't know whether 09 is different) and select a new theme. I was able to apply a new theme to an existing site. I don't know whether you will need to do this to all the entry pages, possibly you will. Does this not work for you?
Maybe I could name a new page the same and delete the old one. Would this still throw itunes off on my account?
I should think that as long as you were careful to keep the new version with the same name, so that the URL for the feed didn't change, that iTunes would simply accept this as an update.
Not trying to make things more complicated, would it work to change to a blog page so I can be adding show notes and links from the podcast. Will this still work with iTunes and do everything I will need to work out?
That's getting beyond my competence in iWeb (which as I say I don't use) so I'm reluctant to advise on this; once again I can only suggest the iWeb forum. -
New iTunes download delets my sound card
Everytime I try to download the new version of iTunes it delets my sound card. I would return to the older version but off the website all you can download it the newversion and I can no longer find my download disk. ANything I can do to prevent loss of my sound card? or a way to download an older version of iTunes?

In the resulting dialogue you will get the option to create a new library or navigate to an existing one. The default location for your iTunes library is in C:\Documents and Settings\Username\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\ (or C:\Username\Music\iTunes\ in Vista). Look in there and see if you have more than one library file (they have the extension .itl) If you have more than one try opening them in turn, you may find your original library is still intact: How to open an alternate iTunes Library file

ITunes page is pink..words Library, Store, and Playlists all blurry
recently all my music on itunes was deleted but i was able to load all of my music back onto the itunes itself, being that it was still saved on my hard drive, but the itunes page is pink...then i maximize and it turns white (normal), but then i restore down the window and it goes pink again...and the category words...Library..Store..and Playlists are all blurry...this makes me think something is wrong with the itunes. i have tried deleting the itunes program and reinstalling many times and it wont fix the problem...this all happened after i did that "genius" crap..on the latest version. i even tried installing a previous version of itunes and i got an error message saying "file *blank blank* was created with a newer version of itunes"...or something like that, and it wouldnt even let me access itunes.
so i had to reload the laterst version again with the "genius" thing...and now i have a pink screen with blurry words..
any suggestions?For pink iTunes - try setting 32 bit colour quality.

Why does iTunes match delete everything off my iPad memory every time I connect to pc?
iTunes recently deleted all my music off my iPad so it was only available to stream, which is no use to me. I've just connected to my pc again and gone, just like that every song has that horrible little cloud next to it. I spent a full day last weekend downloading everything to the iPad memory, looks like I'll be doing it again tomorrow.

From what I understand the first time you connect your iPad it should wipe out all cloud based music but after that as you stream music ( which is not real streaming but download and play) it should then keep the music in case you want to replay it and only delete it to make room for any more music you download subsequently.
If that isn't happening then it's probably a bug!

I bought an ipod a few years ago and used a few itunes cards to purchase downloads (music only). Then, i started copying cd's to my computer and they also showed up on my itunes pages. nonetheless, i started making playlists. in the meantime, there was a balance of $6.96 on my account, and i was not able to use the balance to redeem because i lost the itunes card it came from (who would've thought i needed to save the card)...anyway, fine, i recently purchased an iphone. Well, i have purchased a few new itunes cards and have downloaded about ten songs off itunes from my phone to my phone in my phone. Okay, now i am home, and i want to see about getting things in order, ie, making playlists, etc, but including of course the music i already have on the pc in its itunes page. mass confusion for a nontechnological person. i think it's possible, like, to transfer from iphone to pc, and then from pc to iphone, and to coordinate songs from one to the other, but i have no idea how to do this. so, i am researching, and i am finding support here and there, but my device isn't even showing up on the left hand side when i bring up itunes on my computer! so, there is no way to transfer anything!
HELP!First thing Suzanne, I've asked the hosts to remove your email address it's not a good idea to place it in a thread, robots will pick it up and use it to spam you, it's much better to put it in your profile and tell people in your thread that it's there.
Not so sure about the second issue without more info, but as to the first matter, pictures you take on your phone are saved to your phone, they are not saved to iCloud, there is no way around this only to move your pictures to a computer regularly to free up more space. -
My ipad 3 is frozen on the plug into itunes page - it won't turn off or on - just stuck. I have tried to follow advice I have found on these pages but I don't know how to connect the ipad to my mac (the advice is to connect ipad to mac and there is no usb port on an ipad). If anyone could help it would be appreciated. Going nuts.

My iTunes got deleted off a (no longer working) computer. I have lost all music & data that was on this original itunes. Is there a way I can transfer all content from my iPhone (music & photos) onto iTunes on a new computer? I want to update my iphone (3GS), but do not want to lose any music off it when syncing it. Help please!!
By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with one computer at a time. Any attempt to sync such content with a second computer will result in ALL itunes content being first erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature and cannot be overridden. Because you are using a new computer, your phone will see this computer as a "new" computer. The itunes content sync is one way: computer to phone. If you have photos that were synced to your phone or music ripped on your own that were not backed up, you will first have to extract them from your phone using third party software, before you do anything else, as Apple makes no provision to do so:

Once you've done that, do the following in the order specified:
1. Disable auto sync when an iPod/iPhone is connected under iTunes>Preferences(under the edit menu if using Windows)>Devices in itunes.
2. Make sure you have one contact & one event in the supported applications(Address Book & iCal or Outlook, Windows Address Book) on your computer. These entries can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is that these programs not be empty.
3. Connect your phone, iTunes running, DO NOT SYNC at this point.
4. Store>Authorize this computer.
5. File>Transfer Purchases(To make sure all purchased content on your phone will be in your itunes library).
6. Right click in the device pane & select reset warnings.
7. Right click again and select backup.
8. Right click again & select restore from backup, select the backup you just made. When prompted to create another backup, decline.
9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select from the various tabs, You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.
You should be good to go. -
I follwed all the instructions on manuals for both iPAD and iTunes re syncing, but after physically connecting iPAD with iMac with USB or via WiFi I still cannot find "phone button" under Device name on iTunes page. Please help! Thanks!
I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?
I am puzzled. I appreciate for your advice and help.

I have had to restore my pc to a place back in time when it worked correctly. This meant that iTunes was deleted. I have now downloaded the latest version of iTunes but I cant sync my iPad with it. I get the message that this iPad is synced with another iTunes Library and cant sync to this one. Thankfully all my music library is on iPad. I would be grateful for some help on this issue

iTunes has deleted all my music except for the genre I was listening to yesterday. It has also deleted my purchased movies and all my podcasts and playlists. Grrr. Is there a way to find it all again???

Ever since I did a recent update of itunes I don't see any infornation of the iPod on the itunes page. So I can't download any of the music I have on the computer onto the ipod.
