ITunes page "theme"
I have noticed that certain pages in the iTunes store have different "themes" (namely, a black background instead of white.)
Is this a property that I can apply to my XML?
It's black for video podcasts and white for audio: it's not something you can affect.

I follwed all the instructions on manuals for both iPAD and iTunes re syncing, but after physically connecting iPAD with iMac with USB or via WiFi I still cannot find "phone button" under Device name on iTunes page. Please help! Thanks!
I have been creating a photo book using a lots of photographs on iPhoto, and then I took another photos by using new iPAD which I want to integrate with the original album/book on iMac. I was able to import them from iPAD's iPhoto to iMac's iPhoto. However I cannot import or transfer or sync anything from iMac's iPhoto to that of my iPAD.
So my iPhoto page on iPAD contains only 3 or 4 newly created albums, and no other info. That means no syncing....
I am supposed to be able to work on this project on either of these iPAD and iMac, correct?
I am puzzled. I appreciate for your advice and help.

Not able to Post PodCast Photo icon and description on iTune page...
I Have been working hard and reading everything, Yet I have not been able to understand how to post my _photo icon_ and the description for my podcast page. I am working with Garage Band and iWeb '09.
The photo shows up if you click on the podcast, but not on the main itunes page.
Can I just work from the programs of Garage Band, iWeb and iTunes for this podcast or do I need to the file programing to run things? I have yet to find out how to _add search/key words_ for people to find my podcast.
I really want to make an announcement of this podcast but not till I have everything working. I have been trying many ways and things just do not seem to work.

From http://MarkerMadness.comiWeb will not let me change the theme on that page, it wants me to add a new page.
Open your podcast page, click on 'Themes' in the bar along the bottom (I did this in iWeb 08, I don't know whether 09 is different) and select a new theme. I was able to apply a new theme to an existing site. I don't know whether you will need to do this to all the entry pages, possibly you will. Does this not work for you?
Maybe I could name a new page the same and delete the old one. Would this still throw itunes off on my account?
I should think that as long as you were careful to keep the new version with the same name, so that the URL for the feed didn't change, that iTunes would simply accept this as an update.
Not trying to make things more complicated, would it work to change to a blog page so I can be adding show notes and links from the podcast. Will this still work with iTunes and do everything I will need to work out?
That's getting beyond my competence in iWeb (which as I say I don't use) so I'm reluctant to advise on this; once again I can only suggest the iWeb forum. -
I'm actually withered, and in tears from this. I purchased 4 new songs yesterday, brought my ipod into work to download them to my ipod. I'll admit, I'm not very computer savy, and lately my itunes keeps asking for my password etc, as its been telling me my password is incorrect...which its not...I also emailed itunes/apple about my persistant problem of constantly changing my password to no reply....Having to change my password via email, and security question, I've now got an empty ipod...nothing, completely empty. I am using a new computer (completely new) but I thought I was authorised to use up to 5 computers for your itunes page...not in my case it seems.
Is there any way I can retrieve my old songs, which I've paid for I might add, can I get them back? When I load onto my itunes page through the new computer, its completely blank, this is of course after changing my password god knows how many times.Create this smart playlist.
Drag the results into the Purchased playlist.

'Description' text missing for all my iTunes pages - any help please ?
I have Just noticed ( 11.10.2012 ) all the description text on all of my iTunes Pages is missing ! - no 'i' symbol, just to lines - - .
Any ideas or help please, nothing changed my end !

Matthew JonesOn a similar note, any TV Shows that I have purchased from the iTunes store since 10.7.0.21 have no descriptions associated or embedded within the file downloads. I have to add them manually to my iTunes library, which is a bit annoying.

Several of my authorized pc laptops and desktops have completely died over the years, and have no way to deauthorize iTunes on them. Now I am unable to synch purchases on my Iphone to new computer with iTunes because I already have 5 computers authorized. What can be done?
Deauthorise all to reset to zero, then authorize again.
Following quote from Apple Support:
If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.
Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than two authorized computers. If you need assistance on using this feature, please contact iTunes Store support via email (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/). -
I bought an ipod a few years ago and used a few itunes cards to purchase downloads (music only). Then, i started copying cd's to my computer and they also showed up on my itunes pages. nonetheless, i started making playlists. in the meantime, there was a balance of $6.96 on my account, and i was not able to use the balance to redeem because i lost the itunes card it came from (who would've thought i needed to save the card)...anyway, fine, i recently purchased an iphone. Well, i have purchased a few new itunes cards and have downloaded about ten songs off itunes from my phone to my phone in my phone. Okay, now i am home, and i want to see about getting things in order, ie, making playlists, etc, but including of course the music i already have on the pc in its itunes page. mass confusion for a nontechnological person. i think it's possible, like, to transfer from iphone to pc, and then from pc to iphone, and to coordinate songs from one to the other, but i have no idea how to do this. so, i am researching, and i am finding support here and there, but my device isn't even showing up on the left hand side when i bring up itunes on my computer! so, there is no way to transfer anything!
HELP!First thing Suzanne, I've asked the hosts to remove your email address it's not a good idea to place it in a thread, robots will pick it up and use it to spam you, it's much better to put it in your profile and tell people in your thread that it's there.
Not so sure about the second issue without more info, but as to the first matter, pictures you take on your phone are saved to your phone, they are not saved to iCloud, there is no way around this only to move your pictures to a computer regularly to free up more space. -
My computer was stolen so I deauthorized all computers that had iTunes on them on 10/28/2011. I have a new computer and it was authorized for iTunes. When I checked my account it says I have 2 authorized computers, but this new computer should be the only one. How can I deauthorize whatever the other computer is? I don't want whoever stole my old computer to be able to use my iTunes account.
Get all that music back in itunes and sync again.

My ipad 3 is frozen on the plug into itunes page - it won't turn off or on - just stuck. I have tried to follow advice I have found on these pages but I don't know how to connect the ipad to my mac (the advice is to connect ipad to mac and there is no usb port on an ipad). If anyone could help it would be appreciated. Going nuts.
I think you should probably also read the iPad User Guide. You didn't say what version of iOS your iPad is running, so here's the links to both the iOS 6 and iOS 7 (PDF) versions:

When my ipod touch is in recovery mode (when I try to re-store it) the itunes page sayes the website has been timed out and so it won't re-store. There is a limited time, whilst restoring the ipod, it lasts for approx 5 mins, then asks to start again all over again. Can anyone please help me?

Third-party security software or router security settings can also cause this issue. To resolve this, followTroubleshooting security software issues.
Downgrading to a previous version of iOS is not supported. If you have installed software to performunauthorized modifications to your iOS device, that software may have redirected connections to the update server (gs.apple.com) within the Hosts file. Uninstall the unauthorized modification software from the computer.
Edit out the "gs.apple.com" redirect from your hosts file, and then restart the computer for the host file changes to take affect. For steps to edit the Hosts file and allow iTunes to communicate with the update server, see iTunes: Troubleshooting iTunes Store on your computer, iPhone, iPad, or iPod—follow steps under the heading Blocked by configuration (Mac OS X / Windows) > Rebuild network information > The hosts file may also be blocking the iTunes Store. If you do not uninstall the unauthorized modification software prior to editing the hosts file, that software may automatically modify the hosts file again on restart.
Avoid using an older or modified .ipsw file. Try moving the current .ipsw file (see Advanced Steps > Rename, move, or delete the iOS software file (.ipsw) below for file locations), or try restoring in a new user to ensure that iTunes downloads a new .ipsw. -
Ever since I did a recent update of itunes I don't see any infornation of the iPod on the itunes page. So I can't download any of the music I have on the computer onto the ipod.

I just installed the latest version of iTunes and tried to update my iPhone 4. When I go in to set it up with the new update it is getting stuck on the "Connect to iTunes page". I have connected to iTunes several times, and iTunes is saying sync'd, but the phone isn't doing anything. What should I do?

I have seven(7) podcasts on my iPhone 4 that iTunes will not delete. iTunes copies them from the phone to the library and will not delete them from the phone when deleted from the library. I have replayed the podcasts over and over and they still won't delete. Podcasts are WSJ Tech briefings.
This happens to several of my podcasts whenever an updated iOS comes out. You can delete the episode directly from the phone by swiping it from left to right. That seems to fix the issue (they drop off the phone and dont reappear on iTunes). It's as if iTunes stops tracking the play count for some shows.

I bought a £15 iTunes voucher and used some of it to download some songs, I am now looking to see how much is left on the account. Everywhere I have looked says that its on the iTunes page at the top or at the bottom, I can not see this at all! I have looked on my iphone 5 and also on my laptop.

ThanksYou are sure that you still have a balance on your account - if it's zero then it might not show. My account's balance shows at the top left of the store's page on my computer's iTunes, and by logging in to view my account via the Store > View Account menu option. On my iOS devices it shows at the bottom of, for example, the Featured tab in the App Store app under my account id (or you can view your account via Settings > iTunes & App Store and it should show on the screen that you are taken to)

My recent podcast episodes are not getting updated on my iTunes page.
My podcast which hosts on Podomatic (http://mandate.podomatic.com/) has not been updating on iTunes for my last few episodes. Usually it takes a few hours or even a day, but its been weeks since iTunes updated my last episodes. I'm not too sure what the problem or issue is. Currently there are at least 3 episodes missing that are up on Podomatic but not showing on iTunes.
