Itunes password issues

I have an itunes account but when I tried getting on it to update things it says password not good. The when I go to forgot password says id not good. I recieved an email last night saying I purchased something that I did not because I am unable to log on. I have iphone and ipad on account. Now they are no good because I cannot get updates and I have to buy them again. Why can't you talk to someone this makes customer service suck.

In my opinion not being able to talk to some type of customer service is poor business practices.

    I am also having the same problem. My iTunes password works fine on the PC running Windows, but when I try to update Apps on my iPhone 3SG it asks for my iTunes password and then rejects it as not recognised.
    It also rejects in the same manner when I try to buy music using my iPhone through iTunes.

  • ITunes showing iPad I no longer own...Password issues

    iTunes continues to be a source of consternation. My latest issues:
    1) iTunes shows a "My iPad Apps" header on my Mac and I no longer own the iPad it's apparently referencing. I've deleted the iPad under my iTunes account and confirmed it's no longer associated with the account; it only shows my Mac and iPhone 6 Plus under "Devices" and that's what I want. Why, then, does "My iPad Apps" appear? It's clutter and I want it removed.
    2) Why do I need to type my iTunes password FOUR times every time I do a reboot of my Mac? Seriously...FOUR times! That's outrageous.

    The new owner should then be able to log into their support profile and register it to their account

    I cant help them answer a question that doesn't exist, the question is "Question - Question". That's it.
    How can I help them get back into their account?

  • While restoring an iPad iTunes asks for the password - which does it want; iTunes password or the one used to unlock the iPad normally?

    I was having issues with my iPad so decided to do a complete wipe and restore.  The wipe went fine, but when I asked iTunes to do the restore it asks, "Enter the password to unlock your iPad backup"
    I tried firstly entering the password I used to lock the iPad previously.  That did not work
    I then tried the iTune password.  That did not work either.
    Can it be there is another password for the back up of which I am unaware?
    Is there a way to unlock the backup and restore it to the iPad?  Can the password be reset somehow?
    What is the point of a backup that you cannot restore?

    So, why is it not the passcode used to lock the iPad?  And why is the prompt not a little more specific, "Use the unique passcode for unlocking encrypted backups" might have been more helpful.  As it was I tried, in my desperation, to use not only a) the passcode with which I locked my iPad, but also b) my Apple ID password (also, I would have thought a reasonable option), c) my usual "master/default password" and d) the PREVIOUS password for the iPad... It was having none of it.
    Curiously, having rebooted iTunes it now is performing a sync with the iPad (it did not even give me the option to do a restore) and this is even more confusing since the iTune screen shows the usage (25 GB free) along the bottom to be the same as my iPad BEFORE the wipe, but the pull down graphic (under the devices pull down menu) show 100% unused...
    To be honest this takes me round in a circle, since my original problem was iTunes saying I had 25Gb free, but the pull down graphic displaying almost 100% full and the system saying it could not copy to the iPad as there was only 1.87GB free...

    The issue occur again when I tried to update my iPad with iOS 8. I thought upgrading bu connection to laptop would solve this but after completed it seems to get worst now cause I couldn't change my password or restore my device via iTune anymore. I hope this is just a temparary hick-up of apple and there is a solutions out there. Please guide me through this. Thank you!

    I'm not that I understand what you are saying. What does the iTunes password mean or have to do with this problem anyway? If you are saying that the iPad will not accept your Apple ID password and you cannot activate it because of that issue, try resetting the password.

    Does anyone know how I can reset the itunes password on my son's ipod?  We have forgotten the password, and when we request an email, it doesn't show up in either of our mailboxes, junk or otherwise.  And, apparently, I used a made up birth date for the security question....

    Hi,  Did you find a fix for this?  I have the same issue, I've logged out of everything I can think of on my phone and logged back in again and it appears to accept the password.  Yet when I try and update my apps it says that the password is incorrect!  Ive reset my passwords both AOL and Apple.  When I log on via a PC it accepts them, but when I try and buy / update something via the app store on my phone it says that the password is incorrect.  Ive made sure that software levels are up to date etc.
    Any help would be much appreciated!

    click on the store tab on the top left of iTunes.  Scroll to where it says "Authorize this computer...".  Click on that and enter your apple id and password then click authorize.  The reason iTunes says that your computer needs to be authorized is because it is to be sure that iTunes knows can trust your new computer

    Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to have my iTunes password stored so I don't have to keep entering it after I enter my passcode to begin doing anything?  To clarify, I have a passcode set up to begin after 15 minutes of inactivity.  Once that happens, when I reopen my iPad,  I am requested to enter my iTunes password as well.  This wasn't an issue before the last upgrade.  I have tried to find the answer on my own but I'm not having any luck.

  • "iTunes Password" box keeps opening up at random on iPhone.

    *For the past five days* my friend who is running *iPhone OS 3.0* on his *iPhone 3G* has had the 'iTunes Password' request box *popping up frequently and always at random*. *He has not prompted the box by opening up the App Store or iTunes*. He has tried turning on and off to no avail. It is not a jailbroken phone. Any help here will be gratefully received, the box popping up all the time is getting a bit tiresome.

    Well here's another user with the same problems. There is no fix to this bug. This is all caused by file sharing issues which I've heard on good authority Apple are desperately trying to sort out. Sad however they haven't posted this out to the general public which would negate the needless hours spent by faithful users of the product in wasted time. Come on Apple - you can do better than this afterall this is your main source of income now.
