ITunes pause and play issue

For some unknown reason, iTunes will play/pause the current song anytime the following happen:
- I move any file to another folder (also CMD Del)
- I empty the Trash
- I hit play or pause in YouTube
- A message comes into iChat
Also sometimes in iTunes I have to hit Play button three times to get song to play. Same with DVD Player.
How do I resolve this issue?
I have all the latest software versions on a Mac Pro Dual Core.

I get a message that tells me only installed programs can be accessed. When I try to upgrade to the new version the install fails and I ma told it cannot find the file "itunes.imi".
Doublecking something, bobo ... is that the iTunes.msi file that it says is missing?
If so the iTunes.msi is actually damaged, rather than missing, and the damaged .msi is also causing the problem with launching your existing version of iTunes.

ITunes starts and plays songs automatically

I installed Itunes 12.0.1.26 and Yosemite last night and now iTunes starts and plays songs automatically. What is the problem with iTunes? Could someone else have my iTunes account? Should I delete ITunes and re-installed?

I agree with/have same problem as vinfromacton.
I know it's Flash causing the problem:iTunes had been functioning normally until this morning when I downloaded Flashto allow me to listen to archived radio programs on the internet.
Once I downloaded Flash, iTunes startedopening and playing automatically ~ every 2-3 minutes. Annoying as it playsover audio I am listening to &/or recording.
Only fix I've found is to turn iTunesvolume down to zero: does not stop iTunes from opening - it continues to do so- but I don't hear the iTunes audio.
I'm also going to try dr alexander'ssuggestion: Open a blank Playlist > leave iTunes focus there>quit iTunes.
It reopens but at least it'ssilenced....
Haven't tried it but I would imagine uninstallingFlash (need to download the uninstaller from the Adobe website) would solve theproblem. This however would lead me back to my original problem: no Flash >cannot listen to audio archived on the internet and other internet audio...
I'm also going to call Apple: I haveAppleCare. Will re-post after talking to them.

Pause and Play Toggling Button

I have created a Pause and Play button that toggles between states. It controls a Timeline with synced Sound. When I use it the sound and animation go out of sync. Can anyone help me with this or perhaps have better code I could swap out to make this work?
Below is what I am currently using:
On the first frame of an Action Script layer put this AS:

Put the Pause and Play buttons directly over each other on 2 layers for the duration of the timeline.
Pause Button on top. (unless you have a STOP on the first line then maybe the Play button will start it (I didn't Try this)

you have, what appears to be, conflicting code. and you appear to be using a netstream instance. so:
1. remove all code attached to objects. copy and paste the only code you have affecting your pause/play button.

Just got an iPad air and last night was able to listen to iTunes Radio and play some apps at the same time. Now today a software update, and no go on doing radio and apps at the same time....help!!!

Anytime you open an app that has a persistant sound stream - a movie, a podcast, some games - it will overide the music app's stream. nothiong you can do to change it.

Random Pause and Play from iTunes

Starting from about a week ago. My iTune sometimes randomly play/pauses itself without me pressing play or anything. Even after I quit the application, it starts again. I know my play button isn't mulfunctioning because the same problem isn't occurring with my other applications.
This is getting kind of frustrating, some help please!

When you say they are displaying in your iTunes library, are you talking about the Audiobooks section of your iTunes library and not the audiobooks section indented under the iPod in the left pane of iTunes under Devices?
Is the iPod Shuffle configured to sync audiobooks or do you manually manage the iPod's contents?

Pause and play

I have had my iPod shuffle for less than a year. I plug it into my USB port of my mac. and get nothing. it does not update, and it does not charge. When it had battery life (it recently ran out of that), whenever I walked to school with it, or moved around with it on, it would continuously pause and I would have to press play again each time. it would not lose the place in the song, just pause. It did it often, some songs went "pause, play, pause, play" almost immediately. when I could update it, it still did this, and no mattter what songs were on it, it did. How do I fix this issue? is there a way? has anyone else had this problem?

Downloaded MP3 files not visible in playlist. I can find them by going through my desktop Start button and typing in the name of the file and clicking on it, then iTunes opens and plays it but I still can't see it in the playlist.

But if I click Start on my desktop and type in the file names then iTunes opens and takes me to the playlist (where you see no list) and begins playing. Any idea how I can get the list to show?

ITunes 7 and playing videos

So, I recently downloaded iTunes 7 and never really used the video features because I had an older 3rd Gen iPod. I got an iPod video for Christmas and have been trying to get the video feature working on iTunes. I had some videos in my library, and they worked fine in my older version of iTunes.
However, I have discovered that the new version does not play ANY videos at all.
It won't let me import videos on my computer (and I have made sure they are the correct size and format) and it simply will not play any videos I have in my library (some that I purchased from the iTunes store) and it will not load any videos onto my iPod video. Interesting, eh?
Is anyone else having this problem?
I tried to download an older version of iTunes, but it would not install. I re-installed the new version and the same problem happened. I've been pouring over the support sites trying to find out what is going on but haven't found anything helpful. I even tried to uninstall itunes so I could re-install an older version, but it still wouldn't install.
I'm at my wit's end! Any help?

ICloud, iTunes accounts and email issues.

I'm just about to purchase my first Mac (about time I know). I've been an iPhone and iPad user for some time and decided it was time to take the final leap and get a mac. So here's my first question..... I have an iPhone 4 and so does my wife. She didn't set up her own iTunes account and instead it just runs off mine, which was fine originally but obviously it now causes issues with reference to contacts etc etc... So I want to look at setting her up on her own iTunes and iCloud account... Problem I have is that she has made 100's of App and song purchase from iTunes and the app store in the past and obviously she doesn't want to loose these. Does anyone out there know of any way I can transfer my wife's items from my iTunes account to her new one? I was thinking of just downloading all her tracks onto cd and then try importing them again on the new iTunes account, would this work?
Next question.... When I set up my iCloud account I used my MobileMe details (same as my iTunes ID which happens to be a Gmail address) how can I get a @me.com account? And can I replaces my gmail with a new @me.com address?
I'm really hoping that someone out there can help me out.

ITunes starting and playing by itself?

I recently upgraded my mac mini to OS XMavericks. now my ITunes stars up and starts playing by itself every 3 to 10 minutes. Does any one know if there is a setting i could turn off to stop this? I would really apreciate any feedback

Do you have a pair of Apple Headphones connected or have a Apple Remote nearby? If you press the button on the headphones, iTunes will launch and play music. I was downloading music to my iTunes account and playing music from my I tunes library when all of the sudden it stopped playing and the control panel won't let me restart the music.....why

I was downloading music cd from my PC to my I tunes library and playing music on the I tunes player at the same time when all of the sudden my music stop playing and I can't get the I tunes player to restart playing music from my library again. The I tunes equalizer / player box with timer shows the song ready to play but the controls won't restart the song.......why not, and how to I get it to restart playing my library?

- You need to restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod and start anew. Is the restore button visable in iTunes? If it is they restore the iPod.
- If it is not visible try resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- If the restore button is still not visable, try placing the iPod in recovry mode. See:

Problems with pausing and playing again

Whenever I'm listening to a song by The Ramones, then i pause for a second and play it again it skips to the next song. It is only with songs by The Ramones though. If anyone can help please post.

Have you tried re-importing the songs from the Ramones? If not I wouldtry that first. Other than that I can only think of restoring the Shuffle. (Making sure that you have the latest version of the iPod shuffle software) Start the iPod updater program, (Without the iPod attatched) insert the iPod and click "Restore". This will wipe your shuffle clean of all music and put it at factory settings but is normaly one of the first thins one tries when troubleshooting.
