Itunes paypal account cannot be verified
Anyone else having this issue when they try to buy a song or app? I get a message saying "itunes paypal account cannot be verified." I've tried updating (the already correct info) paypal. Any solutions?

I finally worked out the issue. Twitter have enabled app-specific passwords when you are using two-factor authentication.
You need to get a temporary app password from twitter - see: https://twitter.com/settings/password - click on the "Generate password button" - this will generate a temporary password for you.
Use this with your use username in the ML preferences pane for Accounts and your twitter account will authenticate successfully.
If you get this problem and don't have two-factor authentication, then I'm not sure what the problem is - but this seems to be the solution for those using two-factor authentication with twitter (and to be honest, everyone should be using it!).

You should check that your settings (both directions) match this:

Your signature says you have 10.6.8 - is this correct? If you migrated from MobileMe using this your mail settings won't be correct and you will need to follow this procedure to re-enter them:

Help needed. Itunes account cannot be verified. Need to sync iPhone 3G.
I created an account last Wednesday and verified my account using my e-mail address many times. However, I am not able to log in and iTunes keep on saying I have to verify my account.
Already contacted apple support group with Track ID 8352210. Though I have not received any reply from them after I replied to them with the information needed.
It's been 4 days now and I really need to download applications on my Iphone 3g since it is such a useless brick compared to other competing cellphones in the market.
Hope I could utilize my gadget soon.

Miss MariaThanks, I turned genius off and now I can actually sync my phone! I was really excited about genius though . When I tried to turn on genius again (to see if it would work this time) it gives me an error that says: *"Genius results can't be updated right now. An unknown error occurred (-50). Please try again later"*. It works fine when it collects data about my library but it's when it tries to send the info to Apple when it shows me the error. I'm guessing that this is an issue with the itunes servers and not with my PC but we'll see.

Icloud account cannot be verified
For the last 24 hours I have not been able to log into my iCloud account, my email has worked sporadically, my cloud backups on my iPhone and iPad are not working.
I get "verification" errors on my devices and "cannot connect to server" when I try to connect to iCloud on my Mac. Devices are also locking up if I go into
System Pref for iCloud.
I also could not sign in to iTunes.
I reset my password and that did not solve the problem
ICloud is reported to be up and running fine by Apple and others.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

DeannaWhen you change your apple id to a new email address, you will have received a verification email. You need to click the link in that email. If you haven't received that email, you can log into appleid.apple.com >> manage your apple id, and resend the verification email.

To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

I added Gmail to my iTunes store/account. My gmail account is: [email protected] and it shows up on the settings in iTunes, and my account. The problem is I cannot access the store with this ID. A response says: You have not verified your ID, press ok to review instructions to verify your ID.
Reply to this is: An email has been sent to the address below with a link to verify your Apple ID. Make sure to check your email and follow the link to complete the creation of your AppleID.

Yes it is now resolved but not after I send iTunes a request for help and explaining the problem. They send a first reply explaining how I needed to verify my account and gave me the link to do that. You and I know that this did not help, so I replied telling them that this was not working and iTunes did the reset for me.
You may want to open a help ticket with iTunes help. That is the only way it works.

About a month ago I had an issue with my ISP in which I no longer had access to my email from them. Unfortunately, it was this address that I used to set up my iTunes account. After a couple days of no email access, I changed my iTunes account from my ISP mail to my GMail address via the Account setup in iTunes. Everything was fine, I changed the address, validated the email when Apple sent the validation and changed the login info on my computer and iPhone.
While I was able to make app purchases via both the phone and iTunes, I could not access my account information, as iTunes would tell me that my account had not been verified (despite having clicked the verification link). Now, since updating to iOS 4.2, I get the message that my account is not verified every single time I try to purchase or update an app, or try to view my account information on both the iPhone and Mac.
When the systems tell me my account has not been validated, they direct me to instructions on how to validate; BUT, the instructions simply state that the account IS validated. I do not have the option to send anther validation email, and if I go back to the original (sent from Apple on Oct 12) and click the validation link, I'm informed that the address/login is valid.
The Apple Support page simply leads me through various common account problems that have nothing to do with my issue, and there seems to be no way to contact them directly about the account issue. I'm at a bit of a loss on how to proceed; any ideas?Ok I got it fixt.

When I attempt to send a text from the new iPad, a dialog box appears with the option to either sign in with Apple ID Password or Create New Account. I try signing in using my Apple ID password but IMessage informs me that email address cannot be verified because it is already in use ??? What am I doing wrong?
settings -> iTunes & App Store
click on apple ID listed there
select Sign Out
sign in with the proper account
from then on, when the store ask for your password it should be with the correct ID -

I am trying to set up iCloud on my various devices. When I log in with my iTunes (Apple id) it keeps coming back and stating
"Verify your account. This Apple ID's email address cannot be verified. Change your apple ids email address at appleid.apple.com to sig into i cloud"
My apple id has been alive and in use for years on iTunes etc. I have tried a different address and password and still get the same result

BrianIf your email address is valid, just go to https://appleid.apple.com/, click "Manage your account" to the right,sign in, click Name, ID, and Email Addresses to the left, then click "Verify now" next to your email address. Apple will send you an email to this address with a verification link. Otherwise add an alternate email address that can be verified.

Im trying to add an account to an iPad so that my messages send to my phone and not my brothersr e-mail that's already registered on the iPad. However when I enter my e-mail it's just saying "cannot be verified, e-mails already in use??
You may have more than one Apple ID that shares the same email address.
Try one of the following to resolve the issue:
This error message means that your email address is already associated with another Apple ID. It could be tied to GameCenter, iTunes Store, or another Apple ID. Try using your Apple ID for those services to log in to FaceTime on your device.
If you wish to use a separate Apple ID for FaceTime, unlink the email address from any other Apple ID before trying to set it up as a separate Apple ID for FaceTime.
If you would like to change your Apple ID to another email address, go to My Apple ID and follow the instructions in this article to change your Apple ID. -

Hello, I have had no problems with receiving payments from my eBay buyers until today. A payment has been pending for a week sp I logged into PayPal to see what was going on. The transaction details said the payment was unclaimed. When I went to claim the payment, PayPal asked me to verify my account by linking it to my bank account. My PayPal account is already linked to my bank account. Not sure why all of this sudden this is an issue. Any help would be appreciated.
