ITunes playback stuttering after a few seconds

iTunes 6.04 worked fine on my computer but when I installed 6.05 iTunes would start stuttering after about 50 seconds or so. I uninstalled and reinstalled 6.04 and it worked fine again. I tried installing iTunes 7.0 and then followed the instructions in:

that has been mentioned here several times. Anyone have any idea or am I just screwed?

Besides the steps in the article that you have already followed, please make sure your anti-virus is up to date, and run a scan of your computer.
Another Windows-based PC user has fond removing a virus resolve the issue for him.

Lately, if you click on a song in itunes to preview it stops playing after a few seconds. How can you fix this?

1. Use these DNS: Google and Verizon DNS
Primary DNS = 8.8.8.8 Secondary DNS = 4.2.2.1

On the Start menu, click Run.
In the Open field type cmd and click OK.

Playback stops after a few seconds

Many of the videos I've tried to play -- including all the Creative Suite 4 videos from Adobe -- stop playing after several seconds. This doesn't happen on my Macbook Pro at home, only my iMac at work. I don't suspect a firewall issue, because some videos playback fine.
The "downloaded" icon appears, but the player is clearly not accessing the media. Any suggestions? Anyone?

Problems with getting files to play in Premiere. I can import the files just fine. Its when I click the play icon or even the spacebar that causes an issue. If it plays it will only be like for 1-3 seconds. Then it stops. After which I have to press play again. Though the playback is not always guaranteed. I can even skip ahead in the playback, but sadly the results are the same.

I have Adobe Production Premium CS4 for mac and I am having trouble with premiere. Every time, no matter what I do in the preview window or the timeline, if i hit play, the video plays for about 20 frames and the curser jumps back to where it started i think i've tried every setting possible. I do also have Final Cut installed if that makes a difference but it shouldn't. I previously used CS4 as well as older versions of premiere pro on PC and I did not have any problems. I incase you need my specs, im running a 2.8 GHz Macbook Pro with 4 gb of ram & OS10.6.3 Any help as to how i can fix this would be greatly appreciated!

I'm a teacher at an international school Thailand, and we just opened a new Mac lab for video editing. Last year I was using PCs. We have about 27 user license for premier cs4 and 5 license for cs5. The machines are all new imacs, and they are running OSX 10.6.8. The graphics are 32bit. The processor is intel core i5. Memory is 8 gigs of ram. We've been doing basic editing projects using imovie, but now I need them to learn higher end software with layers and more specific controls. The source files come from all different types of cameras. Most of them are imported .mov files. I had so many problems with premiere cs4 on our PCs that I almost quit using it all together. It was usually codec issues because of all the different file types I need it to handle. Every student has different cameras so we get a lot of different file types. On the Mac the specific thing I was was working with was a clip created from one of my students imovie projects. The frame rate is 29.7 it was rendered with quicktime so it is a .mov file. It is only 2 minutes long. I changed the sequence settings to about 10 times and got the same result. It plays when scrubbing, but just like in the original post, when you try to use the playback feature it will only play about 20 frames and then jump back to where it started. I was using premiere cs5.0.0 but my student who showed me the problem was using cs4.0.0. I don't have this problem in imovie or final cut pro. I really need to be able to use premiere because we don't have enough user license of final cut pro, and imovie isn't powerful enough for our next set of projects. I don't have administrative rights on our machines, but our tech staff can help me if there is something that needs to be changed. Any help or suggestions is greatly apprecieated.

My iPhone keeps deleting all my contacts. I have all of them in the iTunes backup but after a few seconds I open my phone they are being deleted. I think that's because I deleted all my contacts from iCloud. How can I keep them after I backup?

Restore from itunes backup and turn on airplane mode before they gone. Turn off contacts under settings - icloud.
turn off airplane mode. Delete icloud account. Sign back in and merge contacts.

I have the exact same problem trying to use the Remote app on both my iPhone 3gs and iPad 2 with either my Mac or ATV2. My Remote app used to work on my phone - I can't recall if I ever actually used it with my iPad, but when I tried today, I got all the same results as you did (on both iPad, and then iPhone). I was using my ATV2 to play music from iTunes on my Mac and wanted to use the Remote app, but it would not connect to either device no matter what I did.

I have that exact same problem! It plays albums fine. But individual songs including ones downloaded from iTunes either skip or play the music of another totally different song. All play fine on iTunes and my iPhone... Got this one to replace my dying 5th gen classic.

After a few seconds iTunes jumps to previous song.

Since a couple of days I have a severe problem with iTunes. When playing music in the music library iTunes jumps back to the previous song after a few seconds of playing the current song. Sometimes this happens half way the song but most of the times it happens after max. 10 seconds. I updated iTunes, started it in save-modus, but nothing helps. It doesn't help to make playlists, it does the same thing...

If you Archived and Installed then check iChat launches from the Applications Folder.
If it does that Drag the current (iChat 3) icon off the DOCK and drag iChat 4 to the DOCK.
