Itunes plays songs too fast

Im recently having this problem.. whenever i hit play, the songs are played too fast... i have tried rebooting, reinstalling, etc....Help

Hmm... and you're positive you've checked with eMachines to make sure you have the latest firmware/drivers available for your sound card? I've had a few issues on an older eMachines desktop PC regarding the sound card and iTunes. Lots of driver reinstallations.

  • Zen Xtra 60gb- Plays songs too fast

Hi guys. There are no EAX special environments running at higher speeds or anything, but every song plays too fast. When I look at the counter for each song and put it alongside a stopwatch or other timing device, the songs are playing way too fast.

Nope, longstanding bug as simply having been around for a while. It's a bizarre one though.
I don't have an Xtra so I can't test (hopefully someone else can) but I'll check my Micro.
The key thing here is do you know if the music itself is actually accelerated? Or is it just the timer that's off?

  • Itunes playing songs too slow

Itunes started playing everything slow (about a tone down)
Closed it and restarted logic, checked tempos there - all good
Closed that reopened itunes and everything back to right speed!
Bit scary, anyone got a clue?

iTunes has a habit of doing this when you encode source files with high sample rates (i.e. 48,000 khz) to a standard sample rate of 44,100 kHz.

  • My nano plays back itune podcasts at too fast a rate.

Hi All!  My nano plays back itune podcasts at too fast a rate.  My iMac does not do this with the same podcasts.  If I have my nano connected to my iMac and use it (the nano) to playback thru my computer monitors- it's fine.  Unplug it and use earbuds and it's too rapid!?  Did my nano drink too much coffee?  Thanks, Michael

O.K.  Finally figured it out...  Podcasts have a 1/2x, 1x and 2x speed setting on one of the windows that will change the playback speed.  Never Mind!

  • Audio books play back too fast on iPad

Audiobook play back too fast on iPad .Ok when played back computer have tried re setting iPad and adjusting speech speed

Have your rebooted/restarted your iPad? you do that by pressing the Home and power/sleep button at the same time until the slider to power off the iPad appears. Slide the slider and when screen activity stops depress the two buttons again until the Apple logo appears. When the iPad completes rebooting try again to see if that solved your problem.

  • Ipod cutting off songs. itunes plays songs just fine. not using "match."

ipod cutting off songs. itunes plays songs just fine. not using "match."
    reformatted ipod, resynced, same problem.
    help!

I have also had the same problem...
The songs appear to be random, and when I plug my iPod into the computer it is fixed. Sure enough, a monthish later, it happens again.
When my songs get cut off, they are stopped exactly half-way through. Apparently, the iPod thinks that is how long they are, because it plays the time that it shows (the total time only goes to helf of what it normally is).
This does not seem to be a matter of old software, as I am always up-to-date on iPod software, and this has been happening to me with version 1.4.1
I have not Restored my iPod, but apparently that will not help (according to the other posts).
I hope somebody can answer this (although I've posted it twice before with no luck, so...)

  • Flash player 11.3.300.257 plays video too fast

    Hi
I have just updated to the lastest version of flashplayer 11.3.300.257.  Now, all vidoes in youtube and bbc iplayer etc that use flashplayer run very fast and without sound (just like fast forwarding x4).
I am on Windows Vista Business Edition (all updates included)
    Browser is IE9.
I have tried a clean reinstall of flash player a number of times but same issue.
I have cleared caches and deleted all history etc via the advanced section of the software.
I have also removed the hardware acceleration.  Nothing has helped.
However, if i run in "safe mode" it seems to run at the correct speed.  I have uninstalled all recent software updates (such as skype) but still the issue remains.  Is it likely to be a conflict issue?
I have tried to install a previous version of flashplayer from the archives page but get an error message 1722.
    Can anyone help?
    Nigel

For my reference, here's the bug:
https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3217331 - Flash player 11.3.300.257 plays video too fast
In order to get traction on this, they're going to need to be able to reproduce it.
It would be great if you could do two things:
    - Provide direct links to a couple videos that reproduce this problem.
If they're on different sites, and based in the US, even better.  (Geographic restrictions make it hard to troubleshoot.  We can VPN, but that can mask/introduce network and timing problems.)
    - Provide the output of dxdiag.exe
Go to Start > Run > and type "debugdiag" no qoutes, then hit [Enter]
Save the output and attach it to the bug above.

  • H264/ACC Stream plays back too fast on some computers

    Hi all,
we got some feedback from some of our customers (about 1%) that the QuickTime streams we provide (H.264/ACC) play back too fast, about double the original rate and sound is dropping out.
I have not seen this problem myself and there is no particular movie, which does not work. It seems to be the client setup (QT settings, video card whatever).
    Does anybody know what happens?
    Thanks
    NikWest

    Hi T-MACK,
This may not be much help but I had the same problem. Inspection showed that I'd inadvertantly set the camera on long play when shooting the footage. It seemed fine when importing into imovie but playback appeared to be double speed. I posted a question on this forum but couldn't get a satisfactory solution. Re-setting the camera and reimporting didn't help. However, I borrowed a friends camcorder and reimported the same video from that. It worked. I can't see why but it did.
Perhaps sommeone will come up with a better answer.
    Regards

my itouch is playing podcasts too fast despite having done a restore to fix the issue, anyone know a fix?

It sounds like the Podcast's playback speed was changed. You can change it by tapping the podcast artwork, locating the speed control that can be found under the right side of the scrubber bar. Then adjust as needed.

  • Itunes 9 plays music too fast

The music files I loaded onto my MAC are playing too fast. I have not had this problem before. System software and Itunes are all up to date. Any suggestions?

A very strange problem indeed. I have not encountered this, and I have no idea if this will help you for sure, but Quicktime has a feature to playback music in a faster speed. It's a Quicktime menu option called "Show A/V Controls" under the "Window" menu (on the PC). The bottom right of the window that pops-up from that has "Playback speed" and if you drag that to "1x", that might help. It's the only thing I can think of. iTunes uses Quicktime components quite a bit. Do the songs play fast on your iPod?

  • Ipod plays music too fast

I just don't understand, it seems that my nano plays the music way too fast. When I play the same music on the i-tunes it sounds fine, but on the ipod, the voices of the singers are really altered. What do I do about this?

I've got the same problem too 2 days ago. Before going to sleep I wanted to listen to some music, but then I realized that my iPod nano 2nd generation was playing the music too fast, no matter which song. I can't really tell what speed it was playing at, but I'd say something between 1.025x to 1.050x. It might not appear that much, but try it with a program such as WMP and you will see a difference. The difference is subtle at first but evident when you the know the songs. So when that happened I was like "W-T-F" and then I restarted the iPod using the Menu+Center combination. I was wishing for it to play OK and then I tried a few songs and it was still going fast forward!!! At that point I was like ?%#!!?#@$$# and I turned it off. The next morning I took it with me to school and everything played fined. I am still mad cause even tough it works right now I have not found the cause nor the solution to that problem and I'm scared it's going to do it again.
