ITunes podcasts "release date" say it's 2008, not 2009. Help!

iTunes seems to think it's 2008, not 2009. For podcast "release dates," iTunes tells me the right month and the right day, but not the right year. This is also the case when browsing the podcast directory in the iTunes Store. I cannot remember when this problem began.
On top of this, if I right-click on the itunes menu options running horizontal across the top of the podcast library window, I can include "year" as another category in addition to the standard "release date" (which cannot be removed), however "year" does tell me 2009 for all recent downloads. If I include "date added" and/or "date modified", meanwhile, the result is the same as that given by "release date". This is a pretty bizarre realization. Anyone else having this problem? Maybe it's a problem with the latest iTunes release? My OS X clock is perfectly okay, no problems there. Help please!

If you get incorrect dates in Date Added and Date Modified, that is not the cause of individual podcasts, but iTunes' date processing.
I had a problem with date processing and it turned out it was due to my using Custom settings in the Date & Time SysPref. The system clock worked fine, but iTunes didn't, so I changed back to standard settings and iTunes was happy again.
I'm not saying yours is the same problem but it may be worth looking at your settings.

Try this...
Triple click anywhere in the line below to select it and press Ctrl+C to copy it.
cmd /k netsh winsock reset
Press the WinLogoKey+R to open the run dialog, then Ctrl+V to paste, then press enter/return.
You should get something similar to this:
Reboot the computer and the problem should be resolved.
If it doesn't work then perhaps a full tear down and rebuild of iTunes will fix things. See Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for details.

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

If youre like me, I have so many Apple devices, I always move things over manually rather than remember what to sync and what not to sync........ There’s an option to UNCHECK sync on any device if that helps you in ITUNES.
On any device, like your phone, in ITUNES you can check the option for manual vs. automatically sync.

Why should Apple fix the problem? Maybe you should consider NOT upgrading if an expensive piece of (obsolete) software you're running won't work with it...

I have a video podcast that is listed in iTunes out of order and is being sorted by release date. At what step in the process is the release date metadata tied to the podcast?
I had to backdate a few blog entries but their release dates do not reflect the date I backlogged them at?
*So the big question is: How can I change the release date metadata of my video blog entries???*
NOTES: we use feedburner to create the feed and blogger to post the entries, the video are uploaded to ourmedia.org.

I would try uninstalling all of the Apple software and then reinstalling it using these instructions:
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
You migh want to try doing this when in safe mode.

Hello, I really need your help. When I try to open firefox, nothing happens or it will open a really small and empty window in the top corner of my laptop. That window cannot be maximized and if I try to close it either nothing happens or it says that the program stopped working. I dezinstalled it and installed it again 3 times... Could you see whether Firefox will start in its Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
Here's how:
With Firefox closed, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
Does that work?
