ITunes program quits when I try to connect to Music Store

Hello. I'm new here. I use iTunes to look up/listen to clips of music (and sometimes have friends download for me since my main connection is dial up).
Just this morning, I went to the iTunes store and tried to launch Music Store, but iTunes wouldn't launch. I restarted the computer (Hewett-Packard PC laptop, with XP) and tried to launch iTunes. Well, it launched. I connected to AOL, and from iTunes, clicked on Music Store, and that's when iTunes just QUIT on me!! I didn't get any error messages - it either fails to launch if I'm trying to launch it through the music store, or quits if it's working but try to connect to the music store through the program.
Does this sound at all familiar to anyone?
I've never had this problem before.

... i'm just checking on that.
does it seem to be the case that you can reliably get itunes to launch once after you restart the PC? but then you can't open if you shut itunes down, and then try to open it again without restarting the PC first?

Lately I have been having problems with iTunes where it randomly just quits every time I open the program. After totally deleting the whole program and reinstalling multiple times, I have discovered that whenever the program tries to enter iTunes store or ministore the program immediately shuts down. What is going on?? I have even opened a new account and that didnt work either.

How can I access the iTunes store? When I click on iTunes, my library appears but when I try to connect to the store I get a window saying Error -3221 has occured and cannot connect to the store.

When you say "her email address" do you mean that you set up a separate Apple ID for her using her email address as her Apple ID? If so, was it ever verified by Apple? Did she get the email verification?

Me too - running iTunes 10.5.3 on Windows 7. Will allow me to sign in to iTunes, download app updates and then if I either close iTunes or try to sign out of my iTunes account it all freezes. So frustrating, because my understanding is that iTunes saves the library file when exiting. So, everytime I update apps I lose all the downloads.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

For a better troubleshooting, I suggest to do as follows:
1. Check whether the App management shared service add to the Farm, and we need to configure the Subscriptions setting service also.
2. SharePoint Server IP Address excluded from the Websense.
3. Restart the server.

"Error 3000" through "3999"
Alerts with codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, or due to your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try removing the proxy settings, or using a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.

Itunes keeps crashing when I try to connect to Stores

I removed and re-installed Itunes, everything works fine but when I try to connect to stores, Itunes crashes.

it seems restoring it and then updating can be the exit.
too bad you certainly will lose all your songs and videos plus podcasts. no problem if you can copy them all back again.

After updating, now itunes crashes when I try to connect to the store

My computer is authorized and I had itunes installed on it. I updated to the latest version and now am unable to connect to the itunes store "home" page. As teh progress bar moves to the right (while connecting), it gets about 80% complete, then I get an error message saying "itunes has stopped working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
I am SO annoyed! I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes several times no but to no avail. Same thing happens. Of course, there'sno tel number for me to call, so I had to waste my time finding this board and posting this message when I coulda/shoulda/woulda had this resolved already.
After the OS7 crashing/locking up my ipad because of your faulty OS7 update and now this, I am seriously starting to hate everything apple.
what more do I have to do to get itunes to allow me to connect to the store to spend money? uninstall, reinstall, uninstall, reinstall... nope, still not working!

Illustrator program quits when i try to print

I just downloaded CS3 and am using it mainly for illustrartor. When i try to print, the program shuts down. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the cs but nothing is working. Anyone have this problem? My MAC will print from other applications just not from illustrator. How do i get it to print??

My itunes stops working when i try to add a music file to the library. how do i fix this?

when I open iTunes and try to add a music file to my library from my computer, I slecet the song and click open and then it just comes up with the error message saying that iTunes has stopped woking and closes the program... ive tried everything- uninstalling and reinstalling the program and even disabling my antivirus software. I have no other ideas about how to fix this?

If you are still having this problem, the fix below takes care of it. It was posted in another conversation by Sony Singh. I did it, rebooted, and all works!!
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes

ITunes stops working when I try to import missing music files

I don't know why, but every time I try to import missing music files into iTunes, a pop up suddenly comes up saying iTunes has stopped working. Does anybody know if it may just be a bug in the program or anything like that? Because of this, I am now having to manually reimport the missing files which takes forever!! Please help!!.

My ipod says Ipod disabled connect to itunes. But when I try to connect to itunes it says I have to enter the passcode on the ipod to use itunes...any help?

Ipod screen says Ipod disabled connect to itunes...but when I connect to itunes it says ipod is passcode protected and I must enter passcode on my ipod to continue. But I cant enter the passcode becaue the ipod is disabled. Brothers entered a bunch or wrong passcodes to disable so I couldn't play it.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
