Itunes purchases only play for 30 secs

I have purchased songs.  When I go to play them they only play for 30 seconds. I went to 'Store' to download them but they downloaded the 30 seconds. I purchased the song again and it still gave me on 30 seconds of the song. Please help!

In windows goto control panel>add and remove and uninstall BOTH iTUnes and quicktime. THen go here and roll down to "Clean up iTunes installer files on the computer" http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93976
There are some adware programs that interfere with iTUnes, especailly the Qoologic adware that seems so ramped on the net. Scan the system with your adware/spyware program or Ewido (Its good at catching qoologic) http://www.ewido.com
IF you have restored the PC, you need to goto the PC makers site and see if they have any patches/updates for issues with itunes. Some PCs, especailly HP and Dell PCs have issues with itunes after a restore is done. While there its best to just install all updates they offer that apply for your model.
Now disable any Antivirus/security programs and goto apple.com download AND SAVE itunes to the PC. Once done goto the location you saved it and double click it to install.
If after this, itunes still will not open, disable your antivirus again and go here to download and install "Quicktime WITHOUT iTUnes". This is the stand alone version of quicktime and usually fixes an itunes not opening.

    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting it from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).

    I created a PDF document that has 3 Captivate 4 movies embedded.  The movies play just fine on Windows but only play for 5 seconds on macs.  Has anyone else experienced this problem?     Someone answered my question on the Acrobat forum.  I needed to upgrade to 9 and use the Flash Tool which solved the problem.

  • Audio Only Plays for 10 Secs in Q.T Pro

    I am running Quick Time Pro 7.01 and the audio is only playing for about 10 seconds. I havn't tried all audio file types but am having problems with 24 bit, 44.1kHz AIF and WAVs. I have had NO problems from using Version 6, so obviously is a problem with Version 7.

  • I had to reload all my programs after a  hard drive problem. Now certain songs are skipped over or only play for a sec or 2 then it jumps to next song. all songs played before. Some are Itune bought and some are my old music.

    I want to Format my Zen Touch and reload the Firmware to start from scratch, but I first want to backup my 28 GBs of MP3 and WMA files. However I noticed that when I transfer the files to my hard dri've, all the ID3 Information is gone. Now adding ID3 info to 28GB of files will take days!
    Strange. Did you edit the tag data on the player? If so what happens is the tag data changes are made in the Music Library but not in the files themselves. There's only one way to write the changes back and this involves getting a copy of MediaSource 3. You then transfer the files back to the PC Music Library, and use an update function to update the files (the PC Music Library will have the same tag data as the Music Library on the player). One problem is that MediaSource 3 is very large, and not available from Creative as a download. I can try and get a copy to you if you can't find it elsewhere.

    That definitely sounds frustrating. If the songs are not playing fully, they may need to be redownloaded. To redownload them, you'll want to delete them from your library. See the following article:

    I downloaded my 1st album from iTunes (Willy Mason) and on playing through iTunes, i have found that on some of the tracks the song stops half way and skips to the next track! went on itunes support but can't connect to there fast track support as it says i have the wrong browser (i use windows browser!) any ideas how i can get a refund / new album?

    Hello, everyone. I'm pretty new to iTunes. I just bought an iPod (1st. gen. Nano) from a friend of mine. It still had some music on it. When I play that music through iTunes, on some songs only 5 seconds play and then it goes to the next song. What causes that? Is that because the music was bought by someone else? Can I fix it?

    If you are not authorized then you shouldn't hear anything at all. But if they are purchased on another account you can't play them. If you get 5 seconds then consider that as a part of "you can't play them."

  • ITunes files only play for 2-10 seconds

    I added some new tunes from my hard drive into the iTunes Library. One time I did it by placing the files into the Library in the finder and then using the "Add to Library" command in iTunes. Another time I simply used "Add to Library" and navigated to where they were located on my desktop. The files' information shows them to be complete tunes and when you play one, the timer indicates the full track's time. But after anywhere from 2-10 seconds iTunes moves to the next tune. I can go thru an entire CD in about 30 seconds!
    The info about the files shows they were encoded using iTunes and QTime in various configurations - e.g. one reads "iTunes v4.7.1.30, QuickTime 6.5.2," and another reads, "iTunes v6.0.0.18, QuickTime 7.0.3.
    I'm using 10.4.3 with iTunes 6.0.1(3) and QuickTime 7.0.3.
    Any help is appreciated!

    I would recommend deleting the affected movie from your iPad, and redownloading the movie.
