ITunes/QT not using video card

I'm configuring a PC to attach to my TV, and have been downloading the HD episodes of Battlestar Galactica Season 4. The video playback quality is awful. Very jerky, the computer can't keep up.
I thought it was the video card, and upgraded to an Nvidia 9600, which should be MORE than adequate. I also installed the NVidia system tools which includes the system monitor application. System monitor overlays various metrics of CPU, GPU, memory, etc usage on the screen over an application.
As I started to play the video, the monitors indicated the CPU usage spikes to 100%, but the GPU usage stays at around 1-2%. That is, the decoder is CLEARLY not using the GPU.
I have gone into the quicktime control panel and enabled all of the DirectDraw options.
Configuration:
Windows XP Pro SP3
DirectX 9.0c
Nvidia 9600
Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz
800 MHz FSB
2.5 GB RAM
How do I get the Quicktime / iTunes decoder to use the GPU to play back video?

Make sure you back up your iPad and follow the instructions on how to set it up as a new device.

I believe if you haven't already setup an itunes account, if you have access to computer with iTunes installed , you can create an iTunes account on that computer with no credit/debit card and then just buy iTunes cards at your local retailer to get credits.

After updating to windows 8.1 iTunes will not play video

I recently updated to Windows 8.1 but since i have my iTunes will not play video i previously downloaded from the iTunes store. The video will play in QuickTime without issue though, please help

sorry it's not my apple id. it's my icloud email/account. after i updated to ios 8.1.2 my icloud acct on my phone is wrong. it's using my old college email address instead of my current icloud account email. my old college email address *used* to be my apple id, but i changed my apple id to my gmail account a few months back. anyway i can't "sign out" or delete the icloud account bc it thinks my college email address is my icloud account and it keeps asking for the password. so i'll type in the current password for my icloud account and it says it's wrong and i need to retry or change the password, which i've already done twice and nothing changes. probably bc its asking for the password associated with the college email address it thinks is my icloud acct.
i can access icloud on my desktop without a problem... make any sense? do i have to restore my phone now or is there a solution? i've wasted the last 2 days trying to figure this out. i can't send or receive emails on my iphone bc of this. which really ***** for work.

No matter what I do iTunes will not save my card details. Everytime I go to buy something it says "Your account information has changed" and takes me to the card details page. I update the card details correctly and click done and it takes me back to the store. I then go to buy something and it comes up with "Your account information has changed" and sends me back to the card details page with all the updated details I put in missing. This makes it completely impossible for me to use the iTunes store.

While Apple may request a Pay-Per-Incident, if it is determined that your device has a hardware issue, that PPI will bewailed after troubleshooting is completed. I went on iTunes after not using it for awhile and my old playlists are all gone. My library seems intact, but I don't have a record of my playlists, except for what's in my iPod. I'm afraid to sync them to get the playlists back into my computer, becuase the last time I synced my iphone it erased all my contacts from both my iphone and my computer, and I don't want the sync operation to remove the playlists from the iPod as well.
I don't have any music on my iPhone, so the two devices in question are just the iTunes program on the computer (it's a Dell with Windows Vista) and my 160 GB iPod classic.

After you restored it to factory settings, did you restore as new or from a backup? If it was from a backup, I'd try restoring as new to see if, without any of your previous data, the issue persists:

H55m-e23 not detecting video card

Hello i recently upgraded my pc with new video card (asus engtx570 directcu ii gtx 570) the problem is that main board(MSI H55M-E23) is not detecting video card, so here is what happens when i turn the pc on it starts to beep 1long beep and 2 short beeps. First i thought it might be power suply so i bought new power suply with 700w and still the same thing happens, then i tryed with LC850w and same thing so i guess the power supply is not the problem. I removed rams and tryed with 1 stick, i have 4 different sticks and same thing happened with each stick. i tested the videocard on different mainboard (ASUS P5Q PRO and ASUS P8H67-M PRO REV. 3.0) and videocard worked fine. i tested my mainboard H55M-E23 with sapphire ATI HD 6950 and it worked too so the pci slot is ok, and now i dont know what to do more i tested all things possible. So what is the problem? my mainboard does not want to detect videocard (asus engtx570 directcu ii gtx 570) 3beeps ( 1long and 2 short) PLEASE HELP!

This family sharing feature seems great. But long gone are the days where I had a credit card on file. These days I only use gift cards. But system really wants me to have a credit card to activate this family sharing? Has anyone been able to do with pure gift cards?

In order to set up Family Sharing the family organizer must have a credit card or debit card to use for billing. See this article -
Family purchases and payments
If a family member, including the organizer makes a purchase and has gift or store credit, that purchase is first billed to that credit. Family members purchases may not be billed to the organizers store credit unless they are the organizer. See this article -
