  • Getting a message in editing that says the program has stopped?

I am continually getting a message (most commonly in Quick Fix but also sometimes in Full Edit) that says "Adope Photoshop Elements (Editor) has stopped working.  Windows is checking for a solution"  Then it comes back with an additional message that says "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".  I'm not sure how Windows is supposed to notify me but I haven't seen anything from Windows regarding this problem.  Anyone else having this issue?

    Try deleting the Editor's preferences:

If that doesn't help, then unfortunately there could be many other reasons for crashes; work through these troubleshooting steps:

  • ITunes/Quicktime problem "The older version of Quicktime cannot be removed"

Whenever I try installing iTunes 7, I get the message "The older version of Quicktime cannot be removed." A similar problem with the same wording similarly cropped when I downloaded iTunes 6.
Source of the problem is a failed System Restore which left files corrupted and such, I've tried using ccCleaner to remove iTunes and Quicktime from the registry but it simply isn't there, as is the case when I use regedit in Run.

  • Synchronization stops and no reason given except saying the program has stopped unexpectedly.

Synchronization stops unexpectedly.  Despite a recent update from Verizon the error message says, "BB Desktop Manager has stopped working. Operation terminated unexpectedly while processing Calendar during synchronization."  Note, this also happened before the Verizon update, so there should be no blame on Verizon.  Are there any suggestions?  Thanks,

    Hi,
I would clear the calendar database on the device and do a one way sync from outlook to the device
to repopulate the calendar. It appears you have a corrupt record in the calendar on the device.

  • Windows Vista "The Program has Stopped responding"

Hello, I've attempting to help a friend repair his iTunes after a recent update corrupted it.
After a few re-installs, updates, edits...we've found out that some how the apple store is crashing iTunes, I say this because when the PC (windows vista) is disconnected from the network iTunes loads perfectly fine. When the unit is connected to the network, iTunes locks up while loading the store.
Any Idea on why the recent release would have broken iTunes?

What version of Apple Application Support does he currently have on the PC, Andy? To check, launch iTunes (when not connected to the internet). Go "Help > Run diagnostics". Uncheck every box. Click next. Does he have an Apple Application Support version 1.0.1 or a version 1.1.0?
What OS does he have? (XP, Vista or 7?) Is it a 32-bit or 64-bit version?

  • "program has stopped working" outlook sync issue

    I have an 8320 (t-mobile) v4.5.0.81 Desktop Manager W/media v4.6
Every time I try to sync with my work Outlook calendar it appears to run ok until the very end then I get the "program has stopped workiing" message (yes I'm on vista) This just started suddenly. I have searched through the boards and don't find this problem "exactly." I've tried some of the "almost" fixes I've found, no luck. This has been working  perfectly for about 7 weeks now then stopped.
This is my work calendar and I need it to update on my BB. I've already checked there is not an Enterprise server at my organization.
If someone could help with issue I would be very gratefull. This is really pi$&ing ME OFF!!!!

  • PSE12 Crashes with "Program has stopped working"

I am having the the same problem as is stated here http://forums.adobe.com/message/6040575#6040575. I can not try this solution because PSE12 does not stay up long enough for me to look for any IMPORTED TAGS in my catalog.
I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but when I opened PSE12 after the reinstall it still knew were my catalog was and opened it and then crashed again. Why does the uninstall leave the catalog in place? I would have thought it would remove it along with every thing else. Now I have to uninstall it again and go through my folders and find anything that has PSE12 in the name and delete it by hand.
This is getting very frustrating as I have not had more then 7 days of a functioning program before it starts to crash on me.
I love PSE and have not had any problems with preveous releases until this one.
Running on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled PSE12 (twice seeing as the uninstall does not get rid of everything it should) and as I was converting and checking all my catalogs for "Imported Tags" I got the "Program has stopped working" error message again. I give up. I want to get my sons money back for this program as he gave it to me as a Christms Present.
I really wonder if anyone from Adobe ever looks at any thng here on these forums. So far I have not seen any evidence to suggest that they do. So far Adobe support sucks.

  • I am trying to import from camera using windows 8.1 and I get a message that Lightroom program has stopped responding. Ideas?

Lightroom has stopped responding.  That's what I get when I try to import images from my D7100 into the library. I'm (foolishly, no doubt,) using windows 8.1.  Can anyone help?

It is lightroom 5.7.  I will have to try to run it again to get the exact
message, but essentially, it is "the program has stopped responding".

Same exact thing with me.  And no help from apple.  Just dropped nearly $600 and cannot get a decent working setup.
Apple's only suggestion was to uninstall iTunes and Quicktime, and re-install... of course (the I.T. Crowd tactic).
The crash happens only on iTunes store access.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.
