Itunes radio on apple tv plays same song

So my Apple TV is being a little weird
Its on Variety, but will skip through tons of songs and just play the same one over and over. (I.e. Girl Crush by Little Big Town on the Country Top 50 station).
I've already done both a RESTART and a RESET, and it still has the same problem, even with other stations.
Any suggestions??

I am having the same problem. Here is some info:
ISP: Cox
Router: ASUS RT-AC68U
Computer: PC Running Windows 7 in 64-bit mode
iTunes: 12.1.2.27
AppleTV: 7.2
iTunes Radio on the PC would just flat out not work. It would load the song name into the status bar and then just sit there. You could skip songs and change radio stations with no results.
iTunes Radio on the AppleTVs (I have 2 of them) would work for the first song, then skip 20-30 songs until settling on one to play. Curiously, it was consistently either the same song again or another song from a group of 3-4 artists. If left running long enough, it would play only the same 5-6 songs from the same 3-4 artists. This phenomenon was the same across multiple days of use.
I tried changing my iTunes password, updating my iTunes contact and payment information, flushing and changing DNS servers multiple times, and running trace routes via the Command prompt to check for excessive latency issues. Nothing. The only thing that worked was forcing my AppleTV devices to connect to my hot-spotted cellphone (Verizon) and that worked every time.
One thing that HAS worked is to disable the hardware firewall on my router. So far, so good.
Can anyone from Apple tell me if I can setup certain ports to forward within the router (or something else) so I can re-enable the HW firewall, yet still use iTunes radio successfully?

When you purchase a song on your Apple TV, it is available on all of your devices. There are a few reasons why you may not see the song on your iOS devices or your MacBook Pro. They may not be set up to download purchases automatically, or you may not have been signed into the iTunes Store.
I'd suggest trying to download the purchases on your other devices using the steps in this article:

ITunes radio on my iMac plays 1 song then stops playing

I'm currently running iMac 10.9 with iTunes 11.1.3. Starting today, when I play iTunes Radio, it plays 1 song then stops.

Have you tried closing and restarting itunes or restarting the computer? I've had itunes get squirrelly before, and close and reopen took care of it.

I didn't see this problem with older versions of Itunes. I do not manually change the organization of the Itunes library. I use the Itunes "add to library" feature or Amazon's MP3 downloader. Sometimes, however, I have changed song information in the "info" window. Such as unchecking the "compilation" button and sorting by artist (for that song), so that I can search by artist in the top pane of Itunes (otherwise the song is sorted in an album that is a "compilation," but not under the name of the artist who sang a particular song. I've done this without problem in the past, but perhaps the newer version of Itunes can't handle the changes I made and has lost track of where the older version of Itunes stored such songs? How do I fix all these older previously ok changes if that's the case... If I could just find where they are stored in Itunes it would be easier perhaps. I've looked in compilations, unknown artist, and so forth to no avail. And Finder search can't find them.
Details: suddenly, many songs are marked with "!," denoting that Itunes cannot find the songs in the library and cannot play them. Oddly, my iPod CAN play the "unlocatable" songs with no problem (it has been synched "post problem"). So the songs are still there somewhere in the Itunes library. This problem occurs by album, that is, all songs from the same album become unlocatable, although different albums by the same artist may still be found and played.
Exploring the Itunes library to try to locate the missing albums/songs, I discovered that generally there is no longer any folder specified for any artist associated with a missing album [artist is the top level of organization and album is the second; compilations are in the same folder]. This is true even if I have other albums from the same artist which Itunes IS able to locate. I cannot find a single song/album by such artists anywhere in the Itunes file system, even the ones that Itunes can still play. If I right click and "get info" for an unlocatable song, I get a notification box that asks if I want to locate the file. If I click "no," next thing-- the info window for the song pops up, with all the correct info (including sort info, which I double check)! Why is Itunes able to locate all the info on the song, but is not able to play the MP3 file?
Using Finder I cannot locate the songs that are unlocatable by Itunes (except the original download files in the Amazon MP3 folder). Finder is, of course, able to find Itunes songs that Itunes has no trouble locating. What's up?! My iPod can find them just fine. I just synched my iPod again and am playing the "unlocatable" songs right now.
I can "fix" most of these files by downloading files one by one into Itunes from my Amazon download folder or from my CDs using the "add to library" feature. In fact, it is strange. But this will take a very long time! And what if this problem continues recurring? But something strange happens when I implement this fix. I added one song to Itunes (from the Amazon MP3 folder, using "add to library") for one "unlocatable" album of Pete Seegers. After adding that one song, I looked at the Itunes music library and discovered that a folder for Pete Seeger (which was not there before I added the song) had been newly created, or restored. In this folder was the one song I had just added, but ALSO all my other Seeger albums that had previously remained "locatable" by Itunes. But the other "unlocatable" songs were not restored, unfortunately.

I have found a workaround. When I create a new playlist, iTunes allows me to add or remove songs from existing playlists for a short while. Then, for some reason it prevents me from adding and deleting songs again. Not sure why. Go figure.

Check and make sure the repeat indicator isn't set to repeat the same song. It will have a little number 1 inside a circle on it if it is. Just keep hitting it until it goes white. It will cycle through repeat all, repeat 1, and repeat none.

TS5181 How can I get iTunes Radio to QUIT automatically playing?!

When I get out of the car and I'm in one of my playlists (created on a computer, not a genius or anything) and I'm in the middle of a song, my issue is when I get back in the car (it can be 5 minutes or 2 hours), my song doesn't pick up from where I left off. In fact, my playlist isn't even playing -- iTunes Radio is!! I don't want it to do that!! Does anyone know how I can get iTunes Radio to quit automatically playing?? Thank you.

Bumping this.... iTunes Radio in Canada was supposed to come out early this year (2014). It's mid-November and still no sign and no word from Apple... Anyone have any idea if/when we can expect this?

I called Apple Support and they walked me through it. They told me to basically copy and paste my music to the external hard drive. (I think.) Or maybe it was they had me transfer a folder to the EHD. I don't exactally remember it was a few years back. But I tried to plug in the EHD before starting and...nothing. Been enjoying the iTunes Radio stations, and selected the Christmas Songs station, have been listening to it, editing it and customizing it to make it my own. However, it will not play anymore when I select it. All of my other stations play, just not this one or the Christmas Hit Singers station. Help is appreciated!

I believe that was what we just did. It was reprogrammed. I am told i am in an extended network on Telecom towers. I have been here many times before without any such problem. waiting for the tech to get back to me. It was referred to a supervisor.

My iTunes isn't letting me play certain songs, saying that the computer is not authorized to do so. I've done everything Apple recommends. I've gotten rid of the SC folder twice. I deauthorized then reauthorized it, etc. I am the administrator so signing in as administrator doesn't help. I don't know what to do. Help please.

Doublechecking. In the course of your troubleshooting to date, have you also worked through the instructions from the following document?

we have A, B two itune accounts, when tranfering songs purchased by A iTune account, iPod won't play the songs that were purchase by B iTune account.

itunes radio just scans all of the songs I have listened to on a radio station instead of playing new songs. It locks up itunes and I have to power off and reboot my ipad. I never had this problem before I downloaded an IOS update recently (7.1.0??) Anyone else experiencing this?? Greg

Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old com[puter, to your new one.

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

My itunes keeps freezing when I play one song;

I recently bought the album "Madvillainy" on the itunes store and whenever I play the song "Great Day" it freezes my entire computer at the 1:25 mark. If I'm quick I can shut down itunes fast enough to keep the whole computer from freezing up, but otherwise I can't even open the task manager to shut itunes down.
I am also now getting a message that reads "The itunes library folder cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred (-50). This is irritating to me.
Also why isn't there an e-mail address for support?

It's probably a corrupt file. Delete it and contact the iTunes Music Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of this web page and explain the problem to them. Or log into the iTunes Music Store, go to your Purchase History, find the problem track, click the arrow to the left of the track listing, and use the reporting link there.

It is working now. I no longer get the message about the item not being available in the US and I can access the store.
