Itunes recognizes ipad but computer does not show it under MyComputer
when i plugged my old iphone into my computer, my computer would show it as another hard drive when i clicked My Computer. My new Ipad does not. I tunes recognizes it and it is accessable but still would like to access it via other programs. ie movie conversion, transfer photos, documents.
btw it was not recognizeable on two different computers
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
The iPad has no disk mod or camera roll so it is not accessible as a drive. You phone, if it had a camera had the photos taken available via them showing up in a disk drive.

If your restrictions are turned on and you rented a PG18 rated movie or something, it won't show by design. -
Home sharing can't connect on my computer. It will recognize a library on one computer but not another. Tried turning it off and then on and got nothing. to make things a little more easy, i'd perfer to have all my itunes on a network drive for all pc's connected to one itunes and scratch the home sharing itunes to view under another itunes.
Only problem im having is that wrong pictures are showing up for movie/tv show connecting to different computers conecting to one itunes library.

I'm trying to upload photos from a USB into icloud so I can see them in my ipad, the problem is, I cannot see the "photos" icon on my icloud account in my PC, so I cannot upload anything. I've rented & downloaded a movie on my computer in itunes, but it does not show up on my Apple TV. Everything else shows up on Apple TV, including my computer's movie library. When I click on the movie in Apple TV it says I've already rented it and asks if I want to rent it again. No, I just want to watch it.
Unfortunately I have to if I download it on my computer. I have rented itunes movies before directly using the Apple TV and it worked just fine and I could stay in the living room. Without clicking that icon on my computer, there was no way to watch it.

It might not be compatible with the iPad or the iOS version you're running on your iPad (you can check the app store to find out). You also have to have the same Apple ID in Settings>iTunes & App Stores and have Apps turn to On under Automatic Downloads.

I'm also having a music issue. When my phone is attached to the computer (mac running 10.6.8) it looks like my music is there but its gray and I can't play anything. I've tried to delete it and it won't let me but it does not show up on my phone.
By the way, I have tried shutting of the display switching in the power settings. That was basically the only real answer I found anywhere. It didn't work.

Can connect to computer but window does not show up
We are having issues with Apple Remote Desktop connecting to a couple of servers. Server version varies. It is happening on one server running 10.6.8 and one computer running 10.5.8 and one running 10.4.11
When we connect to the server it appears to connect (the computer shows up in the windows menu) but the window to the computer does not show up. It is almost as if there is a no pixel window open. I have tried forcing the VNC server and ARD processes on the server but this doesn't change anything. The only solution for this problem is to restart the server and then ARD works noramlly for a while but it will eventually return to this behavior.
Has anyone else run into this problem?when the issue happens, can you connect using other proticals / programs? ie VNC via connect to computer in the go menu of finder? OR ssh in the terminal to connect to the server?
if you can ssh into the server, you could try the kickstart command to restart ARD.
if you can't connect to the server at all. Can you ping the server? Ether way, if you go to the server , will it browse the internet?
if you can't ping the server, are you using the Fully qualified DNS name to ping? or the IP to ping? or the server.local name to ping? -
When ever I click a photo with photo effect. Photo effect shows only in my iphone but it does not show in computer when ever I connect to laptop. So please resolve the problem.
That is how it works. You will need to email the photo to yourself in order to preserve the edits.

Hello everyone, Very recently itunes on my windows computer does not let me access any items in my Library except for "Apps" and "Ringtones". When I click on any other items it flashes the redcircle meaning forbidden".
When I connect my iPhone or iPad I can see every items on them but not on the iTunes Library.
They sync fine with iTunes.
I browse all the menus in iTunes but cannot find any clues to what I have done for it to happen. It worked fine previously.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.
