ITunes recovery on new computer to sync with iPad

The computer I had my iTunes on died, do I loose content? I have an iPad but I want to get to my "full" iTunes that you use to sync your iPad. Home bass I guess. How can I get that back?

If you don't have a Backup, Time Machine or similar,  of your Old Computer...
And your Old Computer has died... Then there's not much you can do to get a " Full " iTunes...
You can transfer purchases and re download purchases to your New Computer though...

need help getting new computer accepted as ok to use with i tunes & to sync with I phone 5

You should be able to authorise your account via the Store drop-down menu at the top of iTunes- if you are using iTunes on a PC then try pressing Alt-S and the Store menu should appear (or control-B and the menus should show, they are hidden by default on iTunes 11 on PCs) e.g.

  • Loaded itunes on a new computer, and synced ipad.  Now only those few songs I had on the ipad are in my library.  But all of my ipods (3) have my full music library.  How do i get all my songs moved back into my library from one of my ipods?

I installed itunes on a new laptop, with Windows 8, and synced my ipad.  Now my music library has only those few songs I had synced to the ipad, or roughly a quarter of my original library.  My ipods (all three) still have the full library, but everytime I try to sync them, I am asked if I want to delete all of the contents and replace with the (much smaller) itunes library.  Of course I don't, but how do I "reverse sync" and replace all the music contents of my library with the contents from one of my ipods?

  • I cannot get new purchases to sync with IPad - it says my computer isn't authorized - it is How do I fix this?

I cannot get my new TV show purchases to sync to my IPad.  It says "you are not authorized on this computer"  It is authorized.  How can I fix this????

Oh, and I'm not sure how relevant or necessary this information is, but the iTunes store on my computer doesn't work either, which led me to buy the music on my phone. I try to open it and the top says "Accessing iTunes Store..." and never gets past like a little bit less than half. I looked at some other discussions but none of the suggested solutions worked.

  • How Do I Install I Tunes on a new Computer and sync with Existing ipod?

My desktop crashed and I lost everything including my iTunes. I downloaded iTunes on my new laptop but when I try to sync it with my iPod it says it is already registered to another iTunes and asks me if I want to delete everything off of my iPod to register it. Obviously I don't want to loose all of the songs on my iPod but need to have iTunes to download more songs onto it.

Hello I just purchased a new Dell laptop running Windows XP pro. Is there anyway for me to transfer the songs that are on my iPod onto the new computer; I have an old iPod with dock connector with the scroll wheel and touch buttons. If not is there any other good way for me to transfer my songs from my old computer onto my new one?

  • ITunes for MacBookPro 10.4.11 sync with iPad 3

I just got the new iPad and trying to sync with iTunes on laptop. But iTune 9.2.(5), I understand the latest iTune version compatible with my MacBookPro 10.4.11, does not see my iPad, so I can't use my iTune purchases on iPad. Any solutions to this problem? Many thanks!

Hi, and thanks for the prompt reply. Unfortunately, iCould can only be used with iTunes 10.3, which is not compatible with my current operating system. It looks like whatever I want to do, I'm required to upgrade my operating system...

i had to completely reset my computer and i still have music and apps and everything on my phone but how do i sync itunes with my phone without losing everything that is already on my phone?

    Yes.
Use your backup copy of your computer to put everything back.
Certainly you did not reset your ocmputer without making sure that your backup copy was up to date.

  • If i create a new itunes on a new computer and then connect my iphone to it will it clear my phone or simply copy all apps and items to the new itunes?

If i create a new itunes on a new computer and then connect my iphone to that computer will it clear my phone or simply copy all apps and items to the new Itunes?

Do not create a new iTunes account... accounts cannot be merged.
Install iTunes on the new computer.
Syncing of iDevices does not import content to a computer, the sync is one way from computer to iDevice.

Now I want to sync my iphone but the new itunes on the new computer wants to remove everything on my niphone and replace it with what's on the newly installed itunes data but it does not have my data.
How can I sync the new itunes with my iphone and not have my phone data wiped out?

There is no way to stop iTunes from doing exactly what it is designed to do.
The iPhone is designed to sync with one and only one computer.
If you have moved/copied your iTunes library from your old computer to your new one, then iTunes wiping your device is no problem.  You would simply sync and iTunes will put all the content back.

You cannot merge Apple ID accounts, that has never been supported.
You can contact the Apple ID Security folks per the listing in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699 and they can help reset security questions and get the account working.

I am trying to sync my iphone with itunes on a new computer, but over 3 quarters of my music is missing. It seems that only the songs downloaded on itunes in the last 6 - 9 months have transferred. How can I get the rest of it to sync?

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, which your question does not appear to be related to. You will probably get better help by posting in the Using iPhone forum.
