Itunes refund did not work

I bought a music album for $15.99 on iTunes using a gift card accidentally  and iTunes sent me an email saying that they refunded it. I checked my store credit and i did not receive the refund.I also tried to purchase some music on iTunes that was less than $15.99 and iTunes told me i have insufficient store credit. I checked my purchase history and it says that the album was refunded.
