ITunes refuses to export the library. Any idea what's wrong?
Hi there,
When I try to export the iTubes library to a xml-file to the desktop I see the file for less than a seconds but there is no file stored.
In fact the xml-file should be refgreshed auton=maticaaly but that doesn't work since a few months.
I need an actual xml-file of mij library so I can use the programm DJay
I already downloaded the latets version of iTunes and I have run Onyx and repaired my permissions.

If the red color is only there when you are at the Home screen, you may have somehow changed the iPad's Wallpaper. See Settings-Brightness & Wallpaper to see how it is currently set.
If everythng has a red background, I do not know how that could be adjusted. It could be a defect. Before the warranty expires, you can show it to an Apple Store Genius. If the Genius can not fix it, you may get a replacement iPad.
If there is no Apple Store near you, look for an Apple Authorized Repair Center. There may be one in your city. <Apple Authorized Repair Centers>
One thing your can try is to reset (reboot) the iPad. Hold down both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart after a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.

i tried to purchase hotspot shield vpn but it says contact itunes support to complete the transaction, any ideas how to resolve this ! when i try to contact itunes support it just takes me aroudn in circle to a some page which does not resolve my problem.....

You showed a kernel panic file from OS X, apprantly Log Me In is installed into OS X or running when you log in.
You should be using the developers installer/unistaller to remove Log Me In from OS X.
Somehow it's in OS X, I don't know, but it's there and you need to remove it. I'm not dealing with Windows, just OS X.
Talk to Log Me In people and find out what is installed where so you can do a manual deletion out of OS X.
If that doesn't work, you have to reboot holding the Shift key down manually search for any Log Me In or Himachi files on your computer, in your System/Library/Extensions folder too, use the free Easy Find.

After a recent upgrade, I've completely lost iPhotos and all my pholto files.
It now comes up with 'You cant open the application iPhoto because it is not supported on this type of Mac'
Any ideas whats gone wrong?Reinstall it:
To re-install iPhoto
1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2. Download it from the App Store to reinstall It's on your Purchases List* there.
For older versions that have been installed from Disk you'll need these additional steps:
2a: On 10.5: Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows: In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
/var/db/receipts/
2c: on 10.7 or later they're at
/private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
*Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

One question often asked: Will I lose my Photos if I reinstall?
iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always. -
An email sent from my iMac has a button linked to a clip hosted on Vimeo. When received, the link functions on iMac and iPad, but opens a window of app icons on iPhone and iPod touch. Any ideas what's wrong?
For anyone else reading this thread, it is worth knowing that sometimes an email is, or can be, corrupted thereby jamming the works. The solution above is good, but I just wanted to suggest another one.
If the problem arises, go to an online mail access service, such as Mail2Web.com and login to you mail account there and delete the offending message.
Problem solved.
And George, as this is all entirely voluntary, whinging about no takers may not endear people to you. Besides which, a few minutes of searching on Google would have found you a number of solutions. -
i downloaded the GV app to my iphone but i'm trying to set up the app and it says it can't connect to google when i try to sign in to my google account.... any ideas what's wrong? i can access my gmail account just fine with my gmail app on the same phone

My ipod touch has stopped playing through my Sony docking station, It only plays through the i pod. It's not the docking station as my daughter's ipod works fine on it. It can synch when connected to computer. Any ideas what is wrong?
Have discovered that I had not in fact updated the ios!!
Went through the process last night and my ipod now works fine on my docking station.

If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering. -

i recently migrated to a new mac. in iphoto, some photos have a small flag on the upper left of the photo. any idea what that is?
That's called Flagging. It's a way to make a quick selection of photos. For instance if you're looking for the best shot to print you might go through the photos and flag candidates for further inspection. Then clicking on the Flagged Section on the left, you can see these selected photos together. You can remove flags by clicking on them, if you mouse over a shot you'll see the option to add a flag by clicking. This can also be done in the Photos menu.
