ITunes "remembers" non-existing info?!

I entered all the necessary infos for each track manualy. I burned CD. After I finished the job I erased everything regarding this music compilation from my laptop.
I inserted other CD (I've burned some time ago) to listen to the music - instead of this inserted CD tracks infos, I got infos not existing any more (from the CD I just burned)!?
Is it possible iTunes "remembers" non-existing infos and "attaches" it as they are connected to another CD? It reminds me of battery "memory"! Any clue or any similar experience? Thank you.

By default, when you insert a CD, iTunes will fetch title and track info from the Gracenote CD database (CDDB). This works only through analysis of the number and length of tracks on the disc.
The info you entered manually was never saved on the CD you burned, but in iTunes. This is why, when you insert a similar CD (same number and duration of tracks), iTunes thinks it's the same disc and the info will show up again.

ITunes displaying non-existing TV-Shows on iPhone

Hi,
when I connect my iPhone4 (5.0.1) to iTunes, it displays two old TV-Shows on my iPhone. But the TV-Shows don't show up in my iTunes library (I have no TV-Show at all in my library) and they don't show up on my iPhone when I open the Videos app (no TV-Show at all on my iPhone). But iTunes still displays them as grayed out items on my iPhone. I can delete them from there, but as soon as I sync my iPhone they reappear as grayed out items in the TV-Shows section of my iPhone in iTunes. I even tried to remove them with CopyTrans. It seemed to work. Disconnected the iPhone from my computer, reconnected it, reopend CopyTrans and the TV-Shows don't show up anymore. But as soon as I open iTunes, these two TV-Shows show up again... I tried everything to get rid of these two ghost items, but they reappear again and again. Btw. these were two TV-Shows I downloaded through the 12 days of christmas app one year ago.

Select the iPod.
At the bottom, you have options such as Songs, Playlists, Albums, etc.
Select Videos.
If Videos isn't available, select More and then select Videos.

Also, view in orgchart doesn't work. Is orgchart a valid word. My spell checker doesn't think so.

Orgchart is a contraction of Organization Chart. Jive has many features that are used by other organizations but are not implemented on this site, the Orghart being one of them. Ideally those links would be omitted or hidden.
In principle adding the URL parameter &sortOrder=ascending onto the earlier URL ought to reverse the results but according to Jive's documentation it may not always work as expected, and doesn't in this case.
The default order if none is provided is "descending". Please note that ascending and descending do not necessary produce exact opposites of one another. This is because there are often additional criteria that is used to sort items that have matching primary criteria.

By the way, users who have set their Online Visibility (via User Preferences ) to off are not returned by a people search. This preference would appear to be controlling the wrong privacy setting. Online Visibility isn't an enabled feature of ASC.

Well, the format I upload from the camera is "video clip" or "video for Windows"...sometimes I've converted them to avi format, too. But as I said, it never even lets me get that far...I never get to even select a clip. As soon as I tell the program to "import/clip" it freezes up before I can even go to the folder that the clips are in. It has only begun to do this recently, and I'd never had any problems like this before. Last night I tried it again, and I clicked "open composition", and it froze when I did that too.
I'm not sure how much more specific I can be about the details of the clips, since I'm positive it has nothing to do with the clips themselves...I'm running Windows XP, though...Home Edition Service Pack 2, Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz, with 504 MB of RAM. Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu, and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' add the following two numbers:

Add "Targets" attribute to the connection pool. You may
get an idea how it looks like by searching config.xml
for "targets". If target servers are not set, the pool won't be
deployed and can not be used to a create datasource.

Creating a Socket to non-existent host very slow

Why does it take a long time to try to create a Socket to a non-existent host on a Linux machine? On a Windows machine it takes approx. 20 sec., but when I try it on a Linux machine it takes approx. 180 sec.!
Here's the code I'm using (very simple):

This is really a Linux system-wide problem. If you wanted to fix this in Java, you might even have to resort to JNI to sent yourself a signal and interrupt your system call (the system call is connect()).
Unfortunately, the page give by "man tcp" on Linux is often not kept up-to-date with the many options available in /proc/sys/net/ipv4 .
Also, access to the local LAN will often give a quick "No route to host" message.
To test the long-timeout, you have to access a remote IP that does not exist. For instance, on Linux, if you start two xterms, and on the firxt you enter:
telnet 66.120.89.14
and on that second your enter
netstat -an
You will see something like this line:
tcp 0 1 192.168.5.18:32836 66.120.89.14:23 SYN_SENT
So now you know that the socket is sitting in SYN_SENT.
Now, if you look on a nice, full man page of tcp, like

tcp_syn_retries
The maximum number of times initial SYNs for an active TCP connection attempt will be retransmitted. This value should not be higher than 255. The default value is 5, which corresponds to approximately 180 seconds.
Back on the second xterm, try:
% cat /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_syn_retries
5
I bet you got five also. You could turn it down to two (decreases time to around 20 seconds).
You could try this as root:
# sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_syn_retries=2
or even add this command to your /etc/rc.d/rc.local file

The Scan From File primitive throws an error dialog and aborts the VI if it's given a non-existing file instead of returning an error in its output. See attached example (8.6).

For anyone wondering, the workaround is simply to check if the file exists before trying to read it. You can do this by calling the File/Directory Info primitive and checking the error output. Or you can use the OpenG File Exists? VI.
I'm assuming this primitive is used rarely, if at all, which is why no one ever reported this. I had it in an old piece of temporary utility code which was moved elsewhere. It had a hardcoded path and when I ran it again a year or so after last using it, I ran into this. The only reason I used the primitive in the first place was because I wanted a quick way to save a number in a file and read it back. I never used it in any real code.

We are starting from the beginning like its a new ipod starts out asking language, country,location services,choose a network,and when we get to "setup ipod touch " there are 3 options 1..setup as new ipod, 2.restore from ipod backup 3 restore from itunes backup and when we hit setup as new ipod and click next it comes up with sign in with apple id or create a free apple id we clicked create a free apple id....then comes up with bday,1st name last name, use your current email address, get a free icloud email address or change email address and THIS is where we have problems....if we hit change email address it means that sis's stuff goes under his name and moves all her stuff to this older ipod which the brother does not want. sorry this is so long but its the only way I knew to do it.

Audio CDs do not contain track information. For commercial CDs this information is supplied by the Gracenote service (see below). Each computer gets this information for a particular CD from this service, it isn't on the CD. You would have to register your CD with Gracenote. In my opinion this is a bit much for a personal CD that only a few computers in the world will ever see, but I guess unless they block it then you can do it.

I have a multiple page form with a barcode on each form. I created a separate collection for each barcode. The auto generated code looks fine and has the correct collection created, however I still get the error, Paper Forms Barcode error "Your script uses objects from a non-existent collection".
I'm not sure what is wrong and I don't know how to fix it. Anyone else run into this?

You will need to create a shared folder in Dropbox, then populate that with what ever folders you need to organize the files. It appears the DropBox app,will not handle this, but you can do, it by logging in to you account via Safari. Once the folders are created, they will show up in the app. Likewise with designating the folders as shared. Anyone you wish to share with will need a Dropbox account. (using the public folder will not work since links out it are for files only, not folders. An odd restriction, but it is what it is).
IF you have copies of the files on a PC, you will find that will be the easiest place to upload them from. If they are only in iBooks on the iPad, you will need to synch and use the file management function to copy them off. not sure if you can synch them back over to DropCopy within iTunes (never tried it).
DEpending on your needs, a couple of apps to look into are iCab Mobile (a browser), and GoodReader (doc viewing and management app). Both integrate well with DropBox.

CG02BD - Buffer Error, updating non existent record - Need your attention

Hi Gurus,
This is regarding transaction code CG02BD buffer error which I am getting while updating Identifier info.
CG02BD - Edit Specification
I am getting error "Error in Buffer: update of non existing record" for Num ID category only in case of Customer and Vendor.
Could any one guide me to correct/rectify this one please.
