Itunes ringtones and text tones not working??

I downloaded a ring tone and a text tone, from the itunes store,and it was working great for about three weeks. I lost charge on my phone yesterday and soon as I powered back up the default ringtones have seemed to take over even though my tones are set to the two tones I downloaded. any answers to why? or is there a fix available? I also have the latest software update iOS 8.1.2 on my iphone6.

Try doing a hard reboot of the iPhone
1. hold the power and home buttons down
2. you will see the "swipe to turn off" screen come up... KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTONS
3. The screen will go black (turn off)... KEEP HOLDING THE BUTTONS
4. A white Apple logo will appear on the screen, now you can release the buttons. Left the iPhone boot... should only take a couple minutes.

I finally figured out on my own that I have to turn OFF Do Not Disturb for my Iphone 4 to alert me to calls or texts. I had it set for DNDisturb 10p-9a. It's 6:55p. I got sick of missing calls and texts. Why is DND messed up? This has been happening for about three days I guess.

Ringtones And text tones not working, but iPod is

I purchased a ringtone today and since I did so, none of my alerts are working. My iPod is playing fine, so I know it's not the speakers. I just have no idea when I get a call or text message! Please help!

My keybord click and text tones not working

when i try to type a number for call is just dont play any sound, or messaging, and if i received a message i can't hear it, so i don't even know when i have a new message. is any solution for this?

Have you tried a Reset (No Data will be Lost)
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

Transfer your purchases from old iPhone to computer iTunes, then select tones in iTunes with your new iPhone connected, do a sync.

Upgraded from Iphone 4 to 5s and text iMessage not working

Hello,
I've just upgraded my phone from a 4 to a 5S. In the store the clerk called my
phone to make sure it was working. Before I got home my wife had sent me several
texts that went to my old phone. After getting home I went through iTunes and restored
my new phone with the contacts/apps etc from my old phone. I've tried logging out
of all iTunes, FaceTime, iMessage etc on old phone but still can't get new phones iMessage
to work. Also reset old phone and removed SIM card. Any suggestions to fix this?

Thanks for the speedy response. To answer you questions:
No- iMessage has never worked.
It recognizes my new phone number when I look in the cellular
settings. In the messages settings I can't find my phone #, just turn
iMessage on/off, sign in with Apple ID which I've tried, SMS and a couple
other items that's it. No send and receive options.
iMessage is not activated.
My wife sent the texts to my phone number not my Apple ID.
I'm not getting anymore messages on the old device.
I got one text on the new phone from a buddy with an iPhone but
it was just a SMS text.
I hope this info helps.
My phone works though, I just checked, just iMessage/FaceTime
and texts aren't working. My wife sent me a text that neither phone
has received.

Ringtones and BBM alerts not working

Hi, I have created several custom ringtones and phone alerts on both mine and my husbands new BB 9320's . These were working just fine for the first few weeks but now the custom BBM alerts will not work on my phone but the custom ringtones do work. Instead of the custom alert I've selected the alert sound for the normal profile is the one that sounds. However the custom alerts DO work for text messages ! Just not BBM !
My husbands phone has the exact opposite problem, BBM alerts work, ringtones don't !
The problem seems to have happened after I had installed some various Apps . So I uninstalled all those apps and I've done both a soft reboot and battery pull on each phone trying to fix this. I also deleted those contacts and their custom alert set-ups and re-added everything from scratch, rebooted again, still nothing. It's been like this for a few weeks now, I just can't figure it out . Please help !

TEXT TONES NOT WORKING ON YOUR iPHONE 4/4S?

This is the problem and how I fixed it... Everything works fine, there is not a software problem!!
This deals with anything bluetooth. If you have a newer car/truck that is Bluetooth enabled and you are using the Bluetooth to listen to your music as well as making hands free calls, you need to just set up bluetooth to make and answer calls ONLY, DO NOT SET THE VEHICLE TO BE ABLE TO PICK UP YOUR MUSIC, use the cord that came with your iPhone. You will need to delete the phone from your vehicle and program it again for just the phone only, NOT multi-media. If you have Bluetooth on your iMac and your iPhone is synced to it, unsync it and use your cord to send/receive info to your iMac/PC. I have received 3 different iPhones from Verizon and thought I was going to lose my mind because my iPhone's text tone would not work on any of them until I realized it was only when I was near my truck or close to my iMac. So, as I am typing this out, I have received 2 text messages and heard the tone!!! PROBLEM SOLVED!! Hope this helps everyone with this problem!!

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

The problem is, it is not taking the value which the user selects from the dropdown and the text field. It takes the default value as "January" and the year is "2013" as both of these values are given as selectedIndex:0 and editContents:"2013". I have compared the coding with some other working scripts as well, but it is not working. I have added several alert boxes to check the value we get.
Also, the find and change is also not working. Please help me on this. Thanks.

Symbol and Text Substitution not working correctly

in „Language & Text“ I have the following symbol and text substitutions enabled, which aren’t working in Pages version 5.1.1 (iMac 2011, Yosemite 10.10.1):
„- - >“ (written without blank space between the characters) which should be substituted to „➜“.
In Safari this works, but in Pages it isn’t working.
Other substitutions work in Pages, for example:
„! ! s s“ (written without blank space between characters) is substituted to „ẞ“ in Safari and Pages.
Can somebody help me?

In Pages v5.5.1 and Yosemite 10.10.1, I can reproduce the injected space issue resulting from your Keyboard > Text substitution for „-->” to „→” . Even if you remove one of the '-', Pages will still insert the space before the right arrow in the result. This is a bug.
Fix: „..>” will produce the arrow without the injected space.

Ringtones and Message Sounds not working all the time

Call sounds & message alert sounds don't always work on iPhone 6.
When I check settings etc, it should all be fine. And it's not on silent.
I've tried resetting.
Anyone else have this issue?

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

Ringtones and Text Tones No Longer Work in IOS 8 upgrade

I have an Iphone 5S and recently did the upgrade to IOS 8... I know better i should have waited a year to upgrade but I stupidly did. Today all my tones and ringtones are stuck on default and will not change to the selected.
Phone has also crashed. Went into restore mode.
system restore did nothing, so its in software..
any suggestions, These are purchased ringtones through itunes,

I am having a similar issue. I have an iPhone 5, and after updating to iOS 8 it uses the ringtone I have set as my default.. but will not keep the ringtones I have set for one person. I go back in and change it, and five minutes later it's back to the default ringtone. And it keeps doing this.

All content and apps should be in iTunes on your computer.
Connect the device to the computer and sync the desired content to the device.
I do not believe ringtones are available for re-download.

Itunes Match and Photo Share not working

Since upgrading to new ios software I am no longer able to connect at all to photo stream. Also, when I try to turn on itunes match, its spinning as if its downloading my music,but its telling me that I have no music in my library. But, my itunes match works on every other device...etc computer iphone. I tried to do a system restore, but I keep getting a message saying updated was not successful. Is anyone else having this problem?

This is an enormously frustrating issue and I am disappointed that it does not seem like Apple is taking it seriously, much less solving it. I have seen a lot of people desperate to help and I have tried many of the solutions that made sense to me (repair iTunes; create Windows Firewall Exceptions) and ignored the ones that make no sense whatsoever (reboot your Internet gateway; deauthorize your computers). I am on a Windows 7 x64 machine fully patched, single 8 core CPU with 24GB RAM and 6TB of storage - it ain't the machine...
This seems to be a unique problem to iTunes 10.5. Here is why I believe this to be true:
1. I disabled WFW No result.
2. I created WFW exceptions NO result at all.
3. I did a repair install of iTunes - Actually worked for one night.
4. Uninstalled iTunes 10.5. Installed iTunes 10.4 and everything works like a champ.
Apple needs to solve this issue, I'm afraid until they do anything that gets you up and running is temporary. In any case getting a consumer oriented click-to-install application should not require a project plan and customizations to work properly. This is true even if WFW needs tweaking that simply tells me they didn't test their installer enough to ensure it properly configured WFW, including removing erroneous entries...not an issue on my machine...
I am standing by for Apple to sort this out...until then 10.4 is my friend.

Itunes 10 and windows xp not working

i have windows xp. itunes 10 is not opening. When i connect the iphone it recognizes it but i cannot synch it

I then get a message that says iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Generate another of those errors, and click the "Click here" link in the error message box.
What ModName and ModVer are you getting for the error? (Precise text, please.)
If it's a BEX, and so doesn't give a ModName or a ModVer, let us know what P1 through P9 items you're getting.
