ITunes runs correctly except when I attempt to access my account

When I click on store and the attempt to open my account information, I get the error message that iTunes has stopped working and that Windows will shut it down. I am advised that windows will advise me when a solution if found....

Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
Back up all data.
Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
com.apple.idms.appleid.prd
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Paste into the search field in the Keychain Access window by clicking in it and pressing the key combination command-V. An item may appear in the list of keychain items. The Name will begin with string you searched for, and the Kind will be "certificate."
Delete the item by selecting it and pressing the delete key. It will be recreated automatically the next time you launch the Messages or FaceTime application.
The next time you visit a site that prompts for an optional client certificate, cancel out of the prompt. You may have to do this several times before the server stops asking.

I recently bought an IPhone 4S.  My husband activated it for me through his ITunes account.  Subsequently, I created my own Apple account.  Here is the problem.  When I attempt to access ITunes or Apple apps my phone still shows my husbands email address and requests his password.  I want to get that changed so it reflects my email address and password but can't seem to do so through the settings mode.

What are you expecting to display? Is it data? Images?
It's possible that you've written your code such that it references a path on YOUR specific machine. Always try to avoid references to C:/ or /<yourUserName>/someFolder as you're not guaranteed that they'll exist on other machines.

  • Security exception when provisioning using multiple access policies

We have upgraded our eDirectory connector to version 9.0.4.12. When provisoning manually all process tasks work correctly. However, when provisioning through an access policy or multiple access policies, once the edirectory Create User task runs it creates a security exception and all other connectors fail to provision until retried. We have set the system config parameter of Access Policy Multiple Resource Enhancement to TRUE and we have set the account discirminator in the process form to Server. Why would it fail?

I have the same problem. Have you solved your problem, if so please let me know what the solution is.

  • Since updating to FF 5.0, I can no longer access my MAMP server (Mac/Apache/MySQL/PHP) Wordpress development site on my Localhost computer (MacBook Pro, OSX 10.6.4). Why not? It's running EXTREMELY SLOWLY when I try to access the pages on my site.

PROBLEM WITH LOCALHOST SITE LOADING VERY SLOWLY (IF AT ALL) AFTER I UPGRADED FIREFOX TO 5.0 FROM 3.6
I have been successfully running MAMP, a personal Apache server with MySQL, on my MacBook Pro using OSX 10.6.4. This is so I can create a Wordpress blog locally to later upload to my remote website.
Yesterday, I updated my Firefox browser from 3.6 to 5.0 (and added the following extensions: Better Privacy 1.51, Bloody Vikings! 0.5.3, Copy as HTML Link 2.0, Firebug 1.7.3, Firepicker 1.3.4, NoScript 2.1.1.2, and Ultimate Free Stock Photo Search Add-on 1.0.1, TypeGauge 0.5, and Zotero 2.1.8)
Now, I'm having trouble: At first, MySQL database server in MAMP wouldn't turn on at all. I restarted both Firefox and MAMP a few times. Finally, MySQL turned on and MAMP started to load into the browser. But it got only as far as the top bar on the MyPHP page, and would not load the rest of the page. Finally, pages do load, but I'm getting a "Waiting for localhost…" message looping at the lower left screen for a VERY LONG TIME (30-60 sec?) before my localhost web page appears (sometimes it says "Read localhost…").
But even when the localhost pages appears, it continues to run VERY SLOWLY when the browser tries to load the pages (although it runs a little less slowly when I use only the backend Wordpress administration pages). In short, it seems that something is stopping Firefox from accessing the MySQL database properly so that my site can show up as quickly as it did before.
Since this mess only happened after I upgraded to Firefox 5.0 and added the plugins, and nothing else has changed on my computer, it seems the Firefox 5.0 app and/or an extension is the culprit.
Can you advise me ASAP about what to do? If not, I'll have to downgrade to 4.0 or something. I've got deadlines to meet.
    Thank you.

  • ITunes shuts down unexpectedly when someone tries to access my shared music

I recently started having the problem of iTunes shutting down immediately when someone on another computer enters the password i have on my shared music and then try to access it. the message i receive on my computer is "The application iTunes shut down unexpectedly." i tried having other users try to access it and same result every time. is there something i can do to fix this or does anyone know what could be wrong?

  • ITunes 11.1.3 Store crashes the program when I attempt to access it

I posted this over a month ago and no one answered then, so I'll see if I can get some sort of advice now. I am currently running Windows 7 64bit, and realize I am running an older version of itunes, due to all the recent upgrade issues, including it messing up my cd/dvd rom drivers. Now any time I attempt to open the itunes STORE itunes will crash on me. Everything else runs fine, just that function of itunes. I really don't want to have to upgrade until I know all the bugs are fixed and i won't have to go through the steps of having to uninstall everything and so forth (I really don't feel we should have to in order to use the program, Apple should fix this bug). Any suggestions? I have see fixes and suggestions for windows 8, but if I copy and move the QTMovieWin.dll file, that doesn't fix the issue.

    Hey there!
It sounds like you are unable to open the iTunes Store without it quitting unexpectedly. I would use the following article to help troubleshoot the issue named:
iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1717
Start with this step, and there is additional troubleshooting if needed in the article:
    Start iTunes in Safe Mode
Open iTunes in Safe Mode to isolate any interference from plug-ins or scripts not manufactured by Apple.
Hold down Shift–Control while opening iTunes. You should see a dialog that says "iTunes is running in safe mode" before iTunes finishes starting up.
    Click Continue.
See if the issue you're experiencing persists in Safe Mode.
If you have the same issue while iTunes is in Safe Mode, proceed to the "Create a new user account" section. If you don't experience the same issue, follow these steps to remove third-party plug-ins.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,

  • ITunes 10.7 freezes when I attempt to play a song I purchased

    Hi,
I have the latest version of iTunes, 10.7. I have been having a continuous problem with playing songs in my list.  When I click the play button, the scrolling bar does not move and the song will not play. However, if I restart the PC and load iTunes, it plays as soon as I double click on a song in my list. When I boot up the pc for the first time, it will not play.  It only plays if I restart.  Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
    Thanks!

itunes will freeze even WITHOUT playing a song...
7.6 release of itunes was rushed so Jobs could look good at Mac Convention.
Apple didn't seem to care it was completely buggy and usless for a program. And to top the cake, if you called Apple to try and find out why iTunes was freezing and running slow, Apple blamed your computer. So 1000s of iTunes users have bad comnputers (even though they are all 100% above the minimum requirements for iTunes to run). sad Apple...how about take ownership??
there is only 1 good fix at the moment. uninstall 7.6 and reinstall 7.5 (see other threads to see how to do this flawlessly).

  • ITunes crashes when i attempt to access certain mp3s from my iphone

    Hi
I have put some essential mixes on my iphone which are 2 hours long, and when i right click to edit info or delete them off the iphone library on itunes the program crashes.
    any ideas?

I am confused by what you are trying to describe. If you don't need certain music files, I would suggest that you create playlists in the iTunes on your computer, drag the music files you need on your iPhone to those playlists and then sync only those playlists that you just created.
That way you don't have to manually look for any music file that you did not want on the iPhone but it ended up on it anyways.
