ITunes saying there is an app to update, but no updates there?

Hi guys,
At the moment I have a '1' next to apps in my iTunes. Now I know this means there's an update for an app, but when I go to check for the updates I get a message saying "No updates available. Check again later."
How do I get rid of this?
I've reinstalled iTunes but this hasn't helped. I've checked for updates on my iPhone but nothing there either.

Excuse my ignorance, but was is an iTMS account?
iTMS = iTunes Music Store
If you mean iTunes account then no, I only have the one account personally, but I do use another account owned by a family member.
Do you think I should try logging into iTunes on my Mac with this other account and see what happens?
yes, try that. i am using two accounts and what you're reporting is consistent with what i'm seeing when updates for one account become available but i'm logged into the other.

    This indicates corrupt files.
    A restore should resolve.

  • I plugged in my itouch and itunes says there's an error and tells me to restore to factory mode.WHY does this keep happening to me?

Okay so before my itouch was jailbroken then all of a sudden it deleted all my songs and when I plugged it back into the computer itunes didn't recognize it so I had to restore it to factory settings deleting my 20+ apps . After I did that I jailbroke it again since the hardware was basically brand new, then while it was syncing i transfered a song and it interfered with the sync and deleted everything so I upgraded it once again. Now I have't jailbroken it and it the same thing has happened TWICE. Everything is fine and I plug it in and my computer recognizes it cause its charging but Itunes says there's and error and it simply doesn't recognize it and makes me restore it to factory settings DELETING everything. Now I'm scared to buy apps because if this happens again it deleted everything thousands of songs I have to put back manually etc. What is wrong with my itouch? Is it the itouch or the itunes because my itouch is no longer jailbroken and working fine. I took it to the apple store and they told me they couldn't do anything about it because it was working fine on their computer. -_- HELP?!!! I'M tired of this happening.

which version of iTunes is currently installed on your MacBook Pro?

Go to START > ALL PROGRAMS > Apple Software Update. If it offers you a newer version of Apple Software Update, do it but Deselect any other software offered at the same time. Once done, try another iTunes install
If you can't find ASU, go to Control Panel:
XP - Add n Remove Programs
    Win7/Vista - Programs n Features
Highlight ASU, click change then Repair.

  • HT201401 itunes say there is no sim crd in my Iphone

I was updating my Iphone and lost everything Now Itunes say there is no sim card in the phone I have got a new sim card and it says the same

This will happen if the phone had been hacked or jailbroken to SIM-unlock it before the update. The update removes the hack or jailbreak and the phone becomes locked to the original carrier. If this is your situation there is no solution that can be discussed in an Apple hosted forum, because Apple does not condone hacking iPhones.

    Hello Donna,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your iPhone. If you are having issues completing your app updates, you may want to make sure you can otherwise access the iTunes Store/iOS App Store. You may want to try the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following article:

  • Itunes saying i bought an app i didnt

Ok. This was before the era of family sharing. I used to use my mothers Itunes account. Lets call it [email protected] About 6 months ago or so, I decided to make my own apple ID. So I made it on the computer, and bought all of the paid apps that I had on my phone. (Heres my mistake). I DID NOT Get any free apps, since they were free and I did not see the point of buying them. Well, now I am trying to transfer these free games over to my new ipad mini, and It keeps asking for [email protected]'s password. So I thought, "oh, i probably just have to get them onto my account through itunes." well, on itunes, It says that I have already downloaded the app.
To recap: Itunes says I have the app downloaded, So i cant get the app that way
I have the app on my phone so the app market doesnt recongnize that that app isnt under my ID
and I cant transfer the app very easily to my new ipad since it isnt even my game.
Even in the app store under purchased apps, it shows that I have these apps purchased. But for some reason the version on my phone is still stuck under [email protected]
I really just want to transfer these apps. So how would I purchase apps, that are on my phone under a different account?

Never mind. As it turns out, i Did have the apps that I had desired. My issue is The two game centers were different. Since I had my apps synced with my old game center.

  • My iTunes says there are 17 songs it cannot locate. How do I locate which songs these are without clicking on each song in my whole library?

My iTunes says there are 17 songs it cannot locate. How do I locate which songs these are without clicking on each song in my whole library?

To locate all of the broken links in your library try:
    Lost & Found Playlists
Create a regular playlist called Found, select everything in Music and drag it into the Found playlist (it may take some time to count the tracks that are to be dropped). Create a smart playlist called Lost matching All the rules Playlist is Music and Playlist is not Found. Your lost tracks will be in this playlist. They can be deleted with Ctrl+A to select them and then Shift+Delete to discard them.
The exercise can be repeated with different media sources if needed.
Or try iTunes Folder Watch with its option to check for dead tracks on startup.

  • I'm trying to buy some music and iTunes says there is not enough memory available?

I'm trying to buy some music and iTunes says there is not enough memory available?

I found the answer for real.  I called apple and talked to some dude.  All you have to do is clear your payment information, save it and then re-enter it.  thats the  bug, thats it.
go to the store drop down menu on the itunes toolbar... click view my account... click edit payment information... select 'none' for your credit card...click done...   then try and buy your music...  if you have a gift card or whatever.   if you are just using your credit card or debit card, re-enter your payment information.
it worked for me i hope it works for you.

    Hi Peter,
Thank you for the note - I have seen similar replies on other posting errors and I see how that could make sense. The thing is, my iPhone is not jailbroken - it is from an authorized distributor. However, when I told them about the "no service" problem on the sim, they were unable to assist. Then my phone messaged that an itunes restore was required - so I did that, several times, to the error message now noted on my post. I wonder if there is some other way to over-write this message? Thanks very much.

Newbie, the only way you will be able to resolve a capacity conflict like the one you seem to be having is to restore your iPod. Here's a link on how to restore if you need some help.

A message popped up on iTunes saying - "There is a problem with your iPhone"; We're sorry, the iPhone you connected may be damaged and cannot be activated for service. We recommend that you visit your nearest Apple Store for more information. Please kindly suggest me how to do.

Not surprised that you took a paragraph from my post to repost the same issue.
It is a hardware/software fault which you'll have to get the iPhone replaced if you're under warranty.
