ITunes says i have all purchases but i dont

I recently tryed getting the music i got from itunes onto my computer with the store. It says i already have all purchases but they arent on my library or computer at all. How do i get those songs back without paying for them again?

in iTunes, access your *purchase history* via your account in the iTunes store,
find the file(s) in question, and click on the *report a problem button*. report the problem.
clicking here should take you directly to your iTunes store log-in window.

I purchased a movie on Apple TV and cannot find it on other Apple TVs in the house or on my ipad.  It says I have no purchases, but I was watching it yesterday.  The reception was so bad that I stopped and wanted to view it today.  It has a link to other movies I might like based on buying that movie so its strange it says I had no purchases.

Ok problem solved; signing out of iTunes account and signing back in solved it.

  • My Itunes says I have 19.3GB but my Iphone says I have 9.7GB - why is there a huge difference?

Anyone know the reason for such a huge difference?

Sounds like you have abn expired credit card linked o yoru accopunt.
View your iTunes account payment info and select None for the CC.
You may need to first add a valid card number before you can remove it.

  • ITunes says I have App updates- but will not update.

I have restarted iTunes, the computer, downloaded the new update (8.1.1 is it?), and tried a million times. But no matter what, iTunes says I have 6 App updates. So I click on the "6 Updates Available" button, but all I get it that all of my app have been updated.
I also thought that it might have to do with the fact that I had Apps that were my sister's put on my account using that whole "Authorize Computer" thing. Both of the computers are authorized. So I had her update hers, but it's still not working.
So if anyone has anything that can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Andrea

How I fixed the problem was to "select all" of my apps in itunes and right click and delete, but keeping my files.  The 1 update went away.  So I synced my ipad, and transfered my apps from the ipad back to the computer.
By keeping the files when deleting them in iTunes then syncing them back from the iPad, you should now have two of all your apps in Music> iTunes> iTunes Media > Mobile Applications.

  • HT203167 can't find songs that iTunes says i have already purchased

I go to the iTunes Store to purchase a song and when I find the song and click on it to purchase I get a message saying that I have already purchased this song in the past.  Do I wish to purchase it again?  I click on cancel and go look for the song in my Purchased Folder and can not find the song. This has happened on a few songs.  How do I get all the songs that I have ever purchased to show up in my Purchased Folder?

    Hi Becky5451,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  You can redownload previous purchases by following this article:

  • Why is itunes saying i have not purchased anything on my vaoi laptop when most my apss/song were bought on this laptop?

Itunes is asking me to answer security questions but i cant remember the awnsers and is telling me i havent previously purchased anything on this computer before but i have? Help!!!!!

Did you ever get this settled?  I just found 3 charges on my bank statement from the last 3 days and I haven't purchased anything in over a month.  Even the ITunes store shows my last purchase as being back in early May.  But yet there are 3 separate charges on my statement dated June.  I changed my password and deleted my card but I still wnt to know how I can get my money back and how this happened.

  • ITunes says Apps have available updates, but none exist

In iTunes, the "Apps" page says that there is one update available, but when I click on the link to go to the download apps page, it says that there are no updates available. This problem persists through reboots, and has been going on for a month or so.
It is not really a big deal, but the obsessive compulsive side of me gets a little annoyed by it
I think it might have started when I put the computer to sleep while updates were downloading.
Does anyone know how I can "reset" what iTunes thinks needs updating? Or at least find out what it really thinks is out of date?
    Thanks,
    Ron

This happened to me as well. I use an iMac as my main machine, but have a laptop that my daughter uses. I use my Apple ID on both computers. I would occasionally see on my iMac that I have updates available and would click update and get the No Update Available response, yet the red badge remains displaying that I have an update. Found that a few people had this happening as well via these forums so I checked on the laptop and it updated. I then noticed the red badge on the iMac had disappeared as well. If you have any other computers that share your Apple ID, I'd run update on those to see if it fixes your issue.
    Thanks,

  • Bizarre update experience: iTunes says I have 5.0 but my phone mostly same old

This is weird. I just updated and after going through the initial iOS5 setup process on my phone, I was told I would be using "the most advanced phone OS," but my home screen was pretty much the same! iTunes tells me I have software version 5.0 but almost none of the features are there (the music/iPod icon changed, and Newsstand was added). Other than those minor additions, I've got nothing! Notification does not appear if I swipe my finger from the top of the screen.

The User Guide is available at http://support.apple.com/manuals/ or downloadable from iTunes as an iBook.
Are you looking for notifications on the lock screen? Try the Home screen.

  • HT203167 I look at my history of purchases including my songs and ringtones from iTunes. They are all there but my ringtones say I have to purchase them again in order to put them on my new iPhone that I just purchased from Rogers. I need help getting my

I'm trying to get my ringtones that i purchased on my old iPhone onto my new one that I just got. They r in my history and when I click on them it says you have already purchased them, would you like to buy them again in order to download them. I did it with one already and I now need help so I don't have to buy them again. Can u help get them back please

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store. If you don't have them on your computer nor on a backup then you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Had to buy a new PC as the hard disk of the old one broke and lost all purchases, but still have them on the iPhone. How can I sync them back to the new PC in iTunes?

Had to buy a new PC as the hard disk of the old one broke and lost all purchases, but still have them on the iPhone. How can I sync them back to the new PC in iTunes without losing them?

    You should be able to:
Backup the device to the new installation
Transfer your purchases into a newly authorized library
Recover any other media using third party tools as suggested in this post from forum regular Zevoneer
Restore the device from the backup
This process should switch the association of the device to the new library, preserving the data and settings in your apps.
May also be prudent to attempt a backup to iCloud directly from the device before you start... Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup > iCloud Backup > On. It won't save any media but it would preserve the general account settings and documents in case anything goes wrong while you are trying to extract your other data.
When you get it all fixed, make a backup!

The Compaq is authorized.  My IPod Classic will not Sync on the Compaq.  I have transferred purchases, but "Sync" is greyed out. How can I get the IPod to sync with the Compaq?

If the iTunes sidebar (along left side of window) is hidden, from the menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar.
The iPod should appear in the sidebar, under DEVICES.  Select it there.  To the right, its Summary screen is shown.  Toward the top, there is a bar of buttons starting with Summary.  Click on Music next to Summary.  This Music screen is where you tell iTunes how to sync songs ot the iPod.
Check the box for Sync Music.  This is the switch to enable automatic syncing.  If your iTunes music library fits on the iPod, you can choose to sync Entire music library.  Otherwise, you can choose to sync Select playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  Then select what you want on the iPod from the lists below.
Click Apply to intiate automatic syncing between that iTunes library and your iPod (based on how the iPod's Music screen is set up in iTunes).

  • ITunes says I haven't purchased from this computer before, but I have

When I try to buy a song, it brings me to the security questions screen saying I have never purchased from this computer, which I have many times.  Since it's been years since I've needed security questions, I don't remember them. Any help on getting purchases re-recognized by iTunes?

If you installed Leopard that is why you can't install Mt Lion. The system Must be running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to upgrade to Lion or Mt Lion.
If you only erased the Macintosh HD partition then you left the Mt Lion Recovery HD partition in tact on that system. At startup hold down the Command+r keys to boot to the Recovery HD Partition. From there erase the Macintosh HD partition and then select Reinstall Mac OS X. It should then download Mt Lion and ask you for the Apple ID that was used to purchase Mt Lion.
The Reason Snow Leopard might not be installing is because of the Recovery HD partition. To get rid of that you must First Re-Partition the drive As One Partition. Then install Leopard then SL (Or Snow Leopard from the start) and then update it to 10.6.8. Once that is done you should be able to log on to the Mac App Store and Re-Download Mt Lion.

  • Itunes says I have 2.5 gigs of music on my iphone 5s but my iphone says I have no content. Any idea where my music went to?

iTunes says I have 2.5 gigs of music on my iPhone 5s but my iPhone says I have no content. Any idea where my music went to? I deleted all my music and started fresh with no music. I uploaded several artists worth of music to my iPhone from iTunes and synced the phone. It seems to load from iTunes to the phone but when I disconnect from my comp it's all gone.

    Hi Tim
iTunes will not import non-iTunes purchases from iOS devices. If you still have your old computer you can transfer your iTunes library to your new one.
How to move your iTunes library to a new computer
If not you will need third party software such as this:
    TouchCopy

  • HT201441 I downloaded an album on itunes and it says that it is purchased, but it on not showing up on mu music playlist. What should I do?

I downloaded an album on itunes and it says that it is purchased, but on my music playlist it does not show up. What shoud I do?

Download it to iTunes on your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519), then sync it to your phone.  Make sure the album is selected to sync to your phone before syncing.  If that doesn't work, you may have to delete all the music off your phone, then sync it back from iTunes.  To delete your music, go to Settings>General>Usage, wait for the apps list to open, then click Music, tap Edit, then tap next to All Music.

  • ITunes says I have authorized five computers so I can no longer play music I have purchased. I have not replaced my computer once. Why does iTunes say this?

iTunes says I have authorized five computers so I can no longer play music I have purchased. I have not replaced my computer once. Why does iTunes say this?

    Hey Christownsend,
Thanks for the question. To troubleshoot this issue, you may want to try deauthorizing all computers:
iTunes Store: About authorization and deauthorization
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1420
To deauthorize all computers associated with your Apple ID
If you need to authorize your new computer and are unable due to already having five authorized computers, you can deauthorize all computers by doing the following:
    1. Click iTunes Store on the left side of iTunes.
    2. If you're not signed in to the store, click the Account button, then enter your account name and password.
    3. Click the Account button again (your Apple ID appears on the button), enter your password, and then click View Account.
    4. In the Account Information window, click Deauthorize All.
Note: You may only use this feature once per year. The Deauthorize All button will not appear if you have fewer than two authorized computers. If you need assistance on using this feature, please contact iTunes Store support via email (http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/).
    Thanks,
    Matt M.
