ITunes says I purchased an album but it wont let me download it
I bought an album on on my laptop for my old iPod. Now I have an iPod touch and i went into the purchased items on the itunes app and it didnt have the album i was looking for in it. I then searched for it in the search bar and it still says i purchased the album but it wont let me download it. There isnt an error that comes up or anything. It just wont let me download it and ITS DRIVING ME CRAZY! Can someone please help? (i hope i dont have to purchase the album again)
Again, how are you trying to "download' it - what options are you selecting to do the download? Also, the forum you posted in is iTunes for Windows, but you also mentioned your iPhone. Where are you trying to download the past purchase? Once I know that, I will be able to provide you with instructions on how to download it again.

Download a pre-ordered item
When a pre-ordered item becomes available, you will receive an email letting you know that you can download your pre-order.
If you enabled the option to automatically download prepurchased content in iTunes, then your pre-ordered content may already be in your library. If not, click the download link provided in your email notification, and your pre-ordered content will begin to download. You can also use the Check for Available Downloads feature in iTunes on your computer (choose Store > Check for Available Downloads) to begin downloading your pre-order.

My windows computer died installed linux mint 9.(will not use for itunes)
Purchsed another windows computer and installed itunes.
Purchased songs howeverwould not let me sync with new computer or transfer old library.
However it did transfer 3 movies.
I authorized new computer and home sharing.
Do not want to lose old library and keep mgetting warning.
Help.

iPod shuffle and iPhone are intended for use with a single computer. You cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle and iPhone like you can with other devices.
You'll need to setup your iPod to sync to this new iTunes library:

I cant download my purchased music onto my new iPhone 5. I bought almost all my music through iTunes over my phone but it wont let me download "ALL"--I have to go in individually to each album. Can anyone help me figure out how to do a single "ALL" music download?
I even tried synching from mt computer backup but it wont do it.You can only sync everything with your one syncing computer/iTunes library. Yu can:

As in purchased it 4 minutes ago, or 4 years ago? The new versions of iTunes are always very reliable at having songs show up in the main library display window when an item is added. Does your song appear in Recently Added? Have you checked your media folders to see if the song is actually on your computer but it is just iTunes that is having conniptions?

Thanks hatstead - I'd rather not change my ID email as we vowed to stop having 10s of different emails and passwords, but keep just 2 or 3 - and (idiotically) they are all @ this domain.
But maybe I'll have to set up a gmail one for this. I'd rather not use personal as it's a company purchase.

What do you mean by "it won't let me," exactly? What happens when you try? Any error messages? How much free space do you have on the device?

I have more then one album on iCloud, but it wont let me download it. It says Doanload error

Was the album you are trying to download purchased under the same Apple ID that you are currently signed onto your iTunes and App Store with?

i have my account set, but i cant find out how to get the apps to properly download. am i doing something wrong?
10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) is an upgrade from Leopard, which you apparently have (10.5.8).
iTunes 11 requires 10.6.8 (not 10.8.6 as you have typed). If your Mac is an Intel one with at least 1Gb of RAM then you can buy Snow Leopard in the online Apple Store (type 'Snow Leopard' in the search box rather than browsing for it).
Once installed, download the combo updater to bring it up to 10.6.8:

You will then be able to install iTunes 11. However if your Mac has a PPC processor you cannot install Snow Leopard and will be unable to proceed. To check this, choose 'About This Mac' from the Apple menu and look where it says 'Processor' - it needs to say 'Intel' for you to be able to upgrade. -

If you have an existing ID, but no credit card to associate with your account, you'll have to redeem an iTunes gift card. If you don't want to do that, you'll have to create a NEW ID by following the directions here:
