ITunes says it cannot find the files I want to file share from my iPad
I have the Freegal app on my iPad. I was able to transfer music from this app to my computer once before, but now I just keep getting an error message that the files to share cannot be found. Sometimes it says the error code is 0x00000000. When I go to file sharing in iTunes and select the app, the file folder shows, but it won't save to my computer. What do I do next?
That's the problem. When using a referenced library the source files must be place in a permanent location before adding to the library and not move afterward. Unless you can restore the source files to the locater where the were when the photos were added to the library they are gone.
That's the biggest problem with running a referenced library. Check that box and use a managed library from now on.

CS6 won't install - says it cannot find the required files

I tried to update the software on my phone. It showed a picture to plug the phone into itunes. Plugged it in and now itunes says i cannot update the phone as it is in recovery mode. I cannot turn back on the phone without this message showing up. Any suggestions? Thanks

That is not what it says. Read the message again. It's telling you it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and it must be restored.

i recently had to rstore my pc. i had copied my itunes file to a flash drive and have since reinstalled it. Now, i am unablt to play certain imported files and have and exclamation mark. it says itunes cannot find the original folder. how can i play these songs if there is no other folder to find them in?
If you right mouse and select Get info it will show you the Apple ID used to purchase these songs.
Usually the name of an apple id is based on the email. So knowing that you may have forgotten the Apple ID password.

ITunes says it cannot find my songs...
My itunes library is on an external HDD. I've gone to edit>preferences and made sure the itunes media library is set to this place. I had no issues last week but today i've turned itunes on, and it cannot find any of the songs even though they are in the same place.
Any song I click on it says "itunes cannot find the file would you like to locate it". Is there a way that you can get itunes to search and assign everything for you? Its confusing me...When you first told iTunes where to look for your library (i.e. on an external drive as opposed to the default) that drive would have been assigned a drive letter by your computer. Now, is the external drive given the same letter as before? If not, that's why you have a problem.
This can happen if you have something else connected as well, a camera or USB printer for instance. If the "camera" was given the drive letter previously used by your external drive, the external drive would have to be given a different letter.
Actually, another thing, if the external drive is not connected to your computer _and ready for use_ when you start up iTunes, then iTunes will automatically revert to the C:drive.

Thunderbird was working and then for no reason it stopped downloading emails from the web server. I can access my emails in the web server okay. I have tried to remove my account and then add it again as a new account but I get a message saying that Thunderbird cannot find the email server. I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird but with the same result. I have also tried to remove the default mail server but have been unable to do so. How can I fix this?
I figured out a workaround.... Since I can get e-mails to populate via iSync and my other computer is running Leopard (it's a powerpc chip and can't run Snow Leopard), I added the account on the other computer and got the new account to populate into my SL machine with iSync. I don't like that I can't actually add the account directly, but at least this got me working.

I am using Icloud and previous mobile me. Now I cannot respond to meeting invitations coming in to my email. I get an error saying (when clicking accept) "Icloud cannot find the page". I have also problems with making meeting invitations in my calender when adding attendees and sending to their email. They never get the invitation. Any ideas?

I have songs that I have either downloaded or ripped from discs that i"Tunes now says they cannot find them. I have not done anything to move them or any thing else. When I go to find them I find a folder but these are empty.
im presuming that you ar ebringing up the artist folder within your music folder somewhere and it doesnt have the songs you want?
if so, the newly downloaded songs might not be in folders yet and could be at the very bottom of the music folder which has all of your artists?
alternatively, you could bring up your start menu and do a search for one of the songs, then right click open containing folder and go from there. -
Downloaded a music file which originally played through my playlist in iTunes but now it comes up with a message that the original file cannot be located although the file appears in the play list. It asks if it should search for the relevant file which takes me to the root directory and is no help.

You would need to locate the song on your computer to link them back up so it will play. If you cannot find it and it was purchased from the iTunes Store, you can delete the track and download it again for free.
