ITunes says it's installed but it's not how can I install it
Have just purchased a secondhand laptop and am trying to install iTunes but it doesn't bring up the installing process and then it says congratulations you have installed iTunes. It isn't anywhere.

I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only person struggling with exact issue. I've rebooted, upgraded, re-installed, pulled all my hair out as nothing works.
The biggest dissapointment with this thread is that nobody seems to have responded with a solution.
And yes I've managed to pull together enough intellegence to tick the box "sync to outlook" in iTunes - still nothing man.
Definately does not sync from phone to PC and is very hit and miss on PC to Phone. In other words now running 2 seperate calendars - Not helpful Jan. -

Please follow the link: CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed and this will help you to fix the issue.

Login to App Store with the ID that bought Lion, using any other machine you own.

App Says Installed but it's Not! Can't Re-Download
Hello,
I had Lion on my Mac Pro, then I did a clean install of Mountain Lion.
Now after having done a complete clean install, I log into the Mac App Store and it is showing me my app status's as if I was still on my OS before the clean install.
For Example it says:
Final Cut Pro Update (Instead of Install)
Better Rename 9 Update (Instead of Install)
Both of those apps are not installed on my clean install Mountain Lion. They use to be installed on Lion before the clean install.
What's worse:
GarageBand Installed (It's not installed)
I cannot click to install GarageBand. I tried Option-clicking on Purchases so that it would give me the option but it doesn't.
This is very frustrating.
Any help in understanding how to reset the App store into looking at the current Applications or resetting the store from within the account.

Try redownloading the app directly to the iPod by:

It may be that iTunes is not signed into the account that purchased the app or that the computer is not authorized for that account.

I know this doesn't explain what is happening, but it will put your mind at easy when on holiday.

Whether you can redownload music depends upon what country that you in. If you are using your computer's iTunes then does music show in the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page (on your phone you might be able to redownload media via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app) ? If music shows there, but not that album, then check to see if it's hidden : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919
If you aren't in a country when you can redownload music and it's still on your phone then you should be able to copy it over from the phone via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. -
My IPOD and Macbook Pro both will not connect to the Itunes store through Itunes says no internet connection, but I can connect through safari and I have a internet connection
As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues. -
A few days ago i small piece of plastic got stuck and subsequently fell out the charger hole of my ipod classic, although it still connects to itunes and syncs itunes says it has synced but there is nothing on my ipod! I have done this a few times and nothing seems to work! HELP! :/
