ITunes says NO Internet connection???
I have Vista Home Basic on laptop with ADSL. Recently tried to download an update to Internet Explorer 8 on laptop. This failed and I lost browser. No Internet!! So I downloaded Google Crome at work (don't tell the boss) and installed on laptop. Set as my default browser. Works fine. I open iTunes and try the Store and it says I have no Internet connection?? Window opens up for my ADSL and asks me to connect. That fails. I've checked in Control Panel - Internet connection and it shows I am already connected. Help please. Help please. Help please. Help plea... Help pl.... Hel... H!!???

That can sometimes indicate an issue with proxy connections, Johno.

As I mentioned above, I am not very tech savvy so I have no idea why a wireless protocol would be showing up there, I'm just listing everything I see in hopes that someone might know something I can try. This is why I am asking for help here - I'm not sure what has happened that has made me unable to connect, especially since it seemingly occured while nobody was using the computer.
I guess I should clarify that I'm not a total hillbilly- normally my firewall is set to 'on', but I set it to 'off' to try and troubleshoot the issues here as I was told that sometimes it can interfere with the computer's ability to connect to the internet. If this is not the case and firewall does not affect anything, I will turn it back on while I try to fix this.
I have tried the method you mentioned above a few times - I actually contacted my ISP earlier this week and they recommended resetting the router like that. They didn't mention any known network issues. -

Trying to restore ipod but itunes says no internet connection. Uninstalled and re-installed itunes but still have same problem. Trying to restore because I uploaded songs from Yahoo music jukebox to ipod but they won't play. They are listed as "other" and I can not access them to delete or play. Tried to delete through music jukebox but now it say " error reading content" so I figure restoring ipod is the only way to fix problem.

If you are the only user on your computer you probably don't have multiple user accounts set up and can disregard that. If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar. Now see if your iPad appears under Devices on the left side when you connect it. If it does, click on the name of your iPad on the left side and your iTunes sync settings options will appear in folders with tabbed headings to the right.

My "Shop Local" app won't open, says; Checking internet connection
I downloaded the app; "Shop Local" and it all went fine, but when I tap "ok" it says "checking internet connection". All of my other apps work, fine no problem. How can I get this to work??

I notice that it was released in Nov. of 2011 and has never been updated (appears to have been designed for iOS 3), plus has a fair number of negative reveiws. The support site appears to be a dead end. If this is the app, I'd recommend deleting it and finding another one. -
Just upgraded to Lion an am discovering that I cannot send email photos from within iPhoto. Error message says bad Internet connection or server not working, when that's not the case. Never happened in Snow Leopard! Help!!!

Hi, just bought my daughter an Iphone 4s and I can't get it to let her on youtube, Facebook etc., keeps saying no internet connection. My husband and I have 3G smartphones and we can get on them on ours, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Also, my other daughter has the same phone and has no trouble getting on these sites either. Is possible to transfer photos from a macbook pro to an iphone 5 without itunes or an internet connection? I'm a pro photographer and I need to transfer photos from my camera, edit them, copy photos to my iphone and send via 4G network to an editor. I will be in a location without internet access and my old computer itunes wont sync with my new iphone 5. I can't upgrade the computer right now because I need some of the old software. Thanks.

My iphone 3gs will no longer let me try passcodes and it only says "Iphone is disabled connect to itunes" well, when I connect it to my laptop, itunes says "could not connect to phone because it is locked with a passcode. you must enter your passcode on the iPhone before it can be used with iTunes" Please help!!! I have tried resetting it and all the tricks I know. Nothing works. Thanks

facetime stops working after installing mavericks. After login it says: check internet connection and try again. My internet connections are ok, I have both wifi and lan.
Please describe in detail what happened when you took all the applicable steps in the support article. That's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem.

I have the same problem on my Windows 7 computer. In the right-click menu for a song one option is DELETE. However when I click that option the next window is to HIDE instead of DELETE. Apple, please help us with this.

Ipod screen says to connect to itunes but won't let me enter my password. Tried recovery mode but when I click 'restore' itunes says it cannot connect to update server. Help!
Place the iPOo in recovery mode for the passcode issue. For recovery mode:

I've forgotten my pass-code to my Ipod touch 4g and when I try to restore and update it on my itunes library the internet connection cuts out so this is not an option. Is there another way to fix this problem? Cheers
The only way is to connect the iPod to a computer with has an internet connection and iTunes and restore the iPod. Use as friiend's computer or make an appointment at ther Geniuds Bar of an Apple store.
