Itunes set up

i hope somebody could help me with my problem regarding itunes set up. after reinstalling my itunes there is no set up which will automatically transfer my music files from my pc to itunes.What happened after i reinstalled is that the itunes just open directly with out set up..I hope somebody can help me how to transfer my files automatic after reintalling my itunes..thnx (",)

Normally when you reinstall iTunes, the original library remains intact so you do not have to reimport you music.
If the old library file is still there, you should be able to connect to it with a shift key start. The library file is iTunes Library.itl, can you identify the one you were using before?
If so you can connect to it with a shift key start.
Hold down the shift key and start iTunes. keep holding the chift key until you are asked to choose a library. Navigate to you old library file (iTunes Library.itl) and choose it.
If you can't find the old library file, you can simply add you music files by using File>>Add folder to library... to add your music folder.

I have itunes set up to sync with my Ipod Touch and my Ipad. As of today, it keeps looking for an iPhone to sync with and give me an error message. I don't have an iPhone and don't know how to stop it from popping open with this error message.

They would only be where you put them. What program did you use to import them? Pics/vids taken with ipod are not part of the sync process at all. You should be importing them just as you would with any digital camera.
If you did not import them, then they are not on your computer.

When i plug in my ipod it shows up and works, but when i plug in my new ipad the ipad screen comes up with a display of a cable and itunes but does not show in devises, i have tried all the resets and different USB ports with no success. Any ideas short of selling it on ebay or buying a new computer?

If you've already tried the usual rebooting of the computer and ports and stuff, there is only a few things left I can think of. It's possible that when you updated iTunes it didn't fully replace all the files, so I suggest just manually removing iTunes and then reinstalling it.
Try removing iTunes manually first http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1224 then download a fresh copy, make sure it is 10.3.1
It is essential that you go through Finder to remove those files it mentions. Otherwise they won't be reinstalled when you run the installer again.

ITunes set up gives an error message saying not a "valid win32 application"

I am using Windows 7 and trying to download iTunes, but when I try to open the iTunes set up it gives an error message saying that it is not a "valid win32 application". It does the same for downloading quicktime. I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.

That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

After you restore from backup, you MUST sync to restore your iTunes content. No iTunes content is included in the iPhone backup. Your apps should be in your iTunes library, just sync them back to your phone. If for some reason your apps are not in your library, you can re-download them for free:

I called AppleCare this morning and Sean helped me out in a huge way. In all of my attempts, I had not done a factory-default reset on the main base station and apparently some sort of endless loop had occurred between those two stations. Sean was very helpful and patient with me, but now the system is working as promised. Moral of this story is if a factory default rest doesn't help on the "problem" base station, try resetting all of the units.

Can iMessage work without setting Apple ID? I set Apple ID in iTunes setting but I didnt set it in iMessage setting.

I am an IT administrator and I woul like to ask question about iMessage.
I didnt know iMessag function before giving iPhones to users and now I want to disable the function.
Here is the settings and condition of iMessage of iPhones.
1) iMessage is turned ON (default setting)
2) Apple ID is set in iTunes setting but it is not set in the iMessage setting.
3) Changing Account is not allowed by restriction setting. Thus users cannot add Apple ID to iMessage.
Is there any possibilities that iMessage is activated with the condition?
I would like to know if I have to change settings of all devices or not.

You must be trying to sync it with a different computer than the one it used last. No, there is no other way to do this.
The iPhone may be synced to one and only one computer at any given time. If you choose to sync it to another, you can do that as often as you wish, but its content is erased first.

yes, u need to back up your itunes setting before reinstall ur pc. here is how to do it.
1.go to your my music folder.
2.open itunes folder
3.u have 2 files present there (iam not sure about the name of those files, but they are your songlist files)
copy those 2 files and keep it in safe place, may be in some other drive.
4. after reinstall your pc, install ur itunes
5. then replace the 2 files in the itunes folder with your backup one, then open ur itunes, that's it.

There is no "adding" a device. Simply plug the iDevice into the computer. iTunes should automatically detect the device when it is connected.
iTunes can sync/manage as many iDevices as you want... there is no 1 device limit.
