My iPhone 5's itunes shows app updates badge but no updates are available
I started having the exact same issue as of last night. Tried everything I could think of but nothing worked. Have opened a support case with Apple.
I suspect there may be a problem on Apple's end with their App Store update server.

If you are getting the blank app update screen, many people are having this problem over the last couple of days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. Apple needs to fix this. It is a workaround only until then. -

III entered my card info into iTunes but didnt make a purchase at that . iTunes shows mt 25 dollars but wants the code again. I no longer have c I thought once I registered it my acct was credited.

I have just added an album to my iTunes from a CD. But the tracks are now displayed in 2 places in my iTunes library -- as if I had downloaded 2 seperate albums. How do I consolidate them into a single album in my iTunes?
Did you use the same method to add each of the six albums to your library? With some of iTunes configuration options, some imports (CDs, Store purchase, use of the Automatically add to iTunes folder) will go into the standard media folder location, but the other methods to add media files already on your PC (Add File to Library..., Add Folder to Library..., drag and drop) will leave the files in their original spot.
The other factor that may influence where iTunes locates media files is the setting of the "part of a compilation" flag in the media metadata. When this flag is set iTunes (when configured to organize your media and copy all additions to the media folders) will place files in iTunes Media\Music\Compilations\album_title rather than iTunes Media\Music\artist_name\album_title. -

The problem is I can only update the software on one of the three iPhones – the primary phone I used to setup the iTunes acct. What is the best solution to manage these devices for software updates, apps? This is probably a common problem with families wanting to share apps and music without realizing the issues created by this approach. As it stands today... the first (primary) iPhone associated with the iTune acct has been updated with the latest software version 5.1.1 and sync'd up with all the apps, music, etc from the one iTune acct, while the other two iPhones are still running on the original software version 4.0.2 and are experiencing problems now. I was advised by AT&T back in January that it would be necessary to setup separate iTunes accts for the second and third iPhones in order to receive system updates. The problem would be how to keep all the apps, etc from being deleted off the second and third phones that were originally loaded from the one iTunes acct. Since this AT&T advice was prior to iCloud coming out, would iCloud be a better solution or at least part of the solution? I really don't yet understand how iCloud works. Hopefully, someone out there can help me?? Please?

App Store Update shows App already installed, but still keeps bugging me
App Store Updates continually shows Apple Remote Desktop V 3.7.2 as an update. When I click on UPDATE, I get the message:
"Remote Desktop is already installed on this computer. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to check for available updates."
"Software Update from the Apple menu" no longer exists since upgrading to Yosemite. Besides, that's what the UPDATE button does.
I looked at other discussions, and tried the advice there, with no luck:
I downloaded Remote Desktop Version 3.7.2 again, and it would not install, saying a newer version already exists.
I turned off Applications in Spotlight, then turned it back on. I even restarted before turning it back on.
I went to delete "~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore" but there isn't one.
There's got to be a way get rid of this. No it's bugging me in Notifications to update software that won't update, because it does not need updating.I can't find the disc, which was installed at least 6 years ago, when I was living in another city. Remote Desktop Admin was very expensive at the time. $299 if I remember correctly.
I've since deleted every file with remotedesktopadmin in the name, from system and user libraries. Restored 3.7.2 from the external drive, and the problem persists.
It would appear to be a software bug in App Store since I installed Yosemite. In six years of using Remote Desktop I've never had a problem until Yosemite install.
3.6 would not run because it checks for updates first. 3.7.2 runs just fine, and the App knows there is no update - otherwise it would behave like 3.6 and require an update. It's only App Store Update that erroneously indicates the App needs updating. If I deleted all plists, preferences, receipts, etc. what does App Store Update use to determine App update status?
Moreover, if I did not buy it on the App Store (there was no App Store six years ago), why is it showing up at all? I have lots of software that I bought directly from the vendor, and I don't get erroneous update messages for those.
Even stranger, when I looked at trying to buy a new copy in the App Store, instead of Buy, the icon said "Open". Somehow App Store thinks I bought it from the App Store, even though I didn't? I clicked Open, and while the App was running, the erroneous update message STILL persisted. -
My App Store badge won't update
i updated my iphone 4 to 4.3.3 when it was available. everything worked great for a week or more, and now all of a sudden I am showing a "1" on my app store badge. I go in 5 times a day to check for updates, and there are none, and the badge goes away. When I reboot my phone, or connect to data services, the "1" appears again.
please advise.i am facing this problem too! no matter how many times i sync with itunes it doesn't solve the problem and it's getting irritating cause i always make sure all my apps are up-to-date.
i checked with few of my friends and some of them have this issue too after the 4.3.3 update.
i checked around the forums but others who encounter this problem have their phones jailbreaked. anyone has a solution for this problem for non-jailbreak phones please advise.

My ipad 2 app icon show I have 11 items need updating but there is nothing on the app update page. I tried all method to reset my ipad, sycnc my iTunes with ipad connected, reset my ipad but not successful. The 11 items still appear on my app icon. Can someone help me?

AppStore showing updates needed, but not updates
Ok this is very strange. Third Gen iPad running iOS 6.0, the iOS App Store has started showing updates are available in its icon (its up to 11 now) and when I go to the App Store and pick the 'updates' tab, there are no updates, The "update all" button does not even un-grey out.
My work around seems to be to scroll around the 'purchased apps' tab and try to spot the ones which say 'update' instead of 'open'
--ChuckI only have one apple ID, but I had tried rebooting.
Eventually after going through the 'purchased apps' tab several times and manually updating I have managed to get to a point where they are showing up again on the 'updates' screen. The last two updates which I hadn't yet found were there. As an engineer this suggests that one of the apps that needed updating was causing the code that created the list of updatable apps not to display. Haven't been able to find anything logged about it however.

How do I get iTunes & the App Store back after the update.
When I updated my phone to iOS 6, I lost iTunes & the App Store. I tried opening iTunes on my computer & doing a restore, however, that caused me to lose the rest of the apps on my phone & since my computer runs on Windows I can't sync apps. How do I fix this?
Go into settings > iTunes and App store.. your friends email will appear there.. tap and hold until it highlights gray.. then a box will come up press sign out and then enter your user cardentials where your friends were.

ITunes showing app installed, but, it's not installed..
Kind of a weird issue I've never seen before... But... I did a fresh restore of my iPhone 4.. I've selected a bunch of apps that I want installed on my iPhone and some just aren't showing up in the iPhone at all..
This is where it gets weird.. If I look at the app icon preview thing in iTunes it shows it on the phone, but, on the phone there is no icon. I've tried rebooting (both phone and computer) closing in and out of iTunes and it still appears this way. Oddly enough, even if I unplug my iPhone and plug it back into iTunes, the app preview shows the specific app as installed even though it's not visible (or searchable) on my iPhone.
Anyone else see this issue?We had this problem, and it was mystifying me. Finally figured it out:
Do you have restricitons on with your phone and is the app for an age range outside those restrictions?
We had trouble installing Kik (an instant messaging app), and we figured out that the app is rated for 17+. I had set his app restriction to 12+. I guess he earned enough of my trust to upgrade the restriction.... voila! Now the app is visible!
Hope this helps some parent out there who was beating their head against the wall to solve this problem. -
Windows Updates not showing in Configuration Manager but Endpoint updates are working
I have an issue which I have found whilst creating ADR's. I currently have an Endpoint ADR Set up and working and tried to set up a Windows 7 update ADR but cannot get Configuration Manager to locate any updates, I even change properties to just select
the product 'Windows 7' but when pressing preview I still get no results.

Itunes shows songs on Ipod, but I could not see any songs on ipod
I bought iPod nano today and tried to sync all songs and selected songs, after syncing in itunes, ipod shows there are songs on the ipod.
after I disconnect from my computer and when I look for music on my ipod, I do not find any music. But still if I connect, itunes show songs are available on iPod.
Tried restore,, updated itunes.. no luck so far.. cleared itunes cache as well..
