Downloaded the pages app but i am not able to install to mac

I recently downloaded the pages app for my MacBook Pro but it is not allowing me to install to me Mac. It reads 'an unknown error occurred' refer to purchases to try again. what could this be?

Possibly an incomplete DL? Was it faster DL than you expected? It is about 800Mb.
Have you tried to reinstall it after running Disk Utility to repair permissions and checkyour HDD?

My Itunes Shows The downloads history...but when I try to play them it states it can not find the file. (same computer for the last 2 years) and no issues. now 1/2 of my library can not be played (as it can not be found)

When I try and re-download some of them from the ITUNES store...I get an error that the file already exists on the computer. However, when I open Itunes. The file can not be found. This problem just started about 1 1/2 ago...prior to that did not have any problems...Help? direction?

You can move the folder to where iTunes expects to find it and that will work.
Or you can attempt to fix one broken track by looking for it when prompted when you use Get Info or attempt to play. This often works if everything is in the standard layout.
Or you can repair things with my FindTracks script.

Trying to install InDesign (Adobe) but when I double click the Install it calls up FTP Client Ultimate?? What is the install program for MACBook Pro?

I'm new to MAC, that said I really haven't had much trouble with it except today I am trying to install Adobe InDesgin but it keeps trying to use FTP Client Ultimate to do so.. What is the installer that it should be using? I was hoping it would auto start and install but no such luck..

Thanks, I have posted to Adobe regarding their program, but my question here ( I'm new to Mac world) is what install program would normally install this? For some reason my MacBook pro keeps calling on FTP Client Ultimate to do the install and clearly that's not the right program to install a program..

Can't download Mavericks at App Store

I can't download Mavericks at App Store: it says that it requires at least 2GB of memory but I still have 144GB free in my Mac.

The 144GB free is space on your hard drive.
The 2GB minimum memory requirement refers to RAM : If you clcik the Apple menu at top left of your screen, then choose About This Mac : you should see how much memory (RAM) is installed.

The iTunes and QuickTime symptoms are consistent with another application (other than QuickTime itself) having dropped old Quicktime componentry in your system files.
So just in case we'll go looking for older QuickTime componentry in the most common locations for it to be stashed.
First we'll need to change some view settings.
In your Start menu, open Computer.
In your Organise menu, select Folder Options.
In the View tab, make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is selected, and Hide extensions for known file types is unchecked.
Click OK.
Now in Computer, open your C:\ drive (or whichever drive you have your operating system installed on).
Open the "Windows" folder.
Open the "SysWOW64" folder.
What files and folders can you see in there with QuickTime in the title? (In a standard installation of Quicktime you should be seeing precisely two files... QuickTime.qts and QuickTimeVR.qtx ... and no QuickTime folders whatsoever.)

Did you use the mac app store? If so, you downloaded it for a Mac.
If you downloaded from the iTunes application, or from the iPad itself, then on the iPad, go to the home page, and press the home button once to bring up search (you may have to press it again) Type in Numbers. Does anything come up?

Apple set up the App and iTunes store to require a valid payment method evn for free apps.
You can however set up a new App store account withut a credit card. That account is only good for free apps.

Is this a new account? Even though its a free app the account holder needs to be verified by a verifiabel payment method. Once the account is created, you can remove the info.
