Itunes skipps when on the internet
My itunes skips while I am on the internet. Sometimes it skipps several times a song. I rewind the song just to see if it skipps in the same place again and it does not. This means that the song is ok, but when I am working on the internet, for some reason, my music skips. Any help will be appretiated. Thanks!!! Chris

Problems mounting CDs after downloading Itunes 10 when on the internet
I'm new to both Macs and forums, so please bear with me if some of the terminology is wrong. Also, from the other posts I have looked at this seems to be a longstanding but unanswered issue, so feel free to direct me to other places if an answer is out there.
Basically, since I bought my MacbookPro in May almost all of the time cds mounted automatically and it found the CD info on the internet. Sometimes it hadn't been doing it first time round, but it wasn't too great an issue. However, earlier today I downloaded Itunes 10. Now, cds won't mount when I'm connected to the internet. In fact Itunes has a kind of flickering attack as though it's struggling to read the cd. Trying to manually mount the CDs using Disk Utility also doesn't work in this case. But if I UNcheck the "automatically retrieve cd track names from the internet" it mounts.
So, I can import cds but I don't have any of the information. Also, when I try to manually import the information ("Get track names) a message box pops up saying the information doesn't exist, which can't be the case on these widely available albums. I have tried various combinations of the suggestions mentioned (bar deleting and reinstalling software which I have no idea how to do) and nothing works.
Finally then, my questions:
1. Can I go back to the older version of Itunes that almost always worked? If so, how do i do so?
2. If I was to import the cds first, is there a way of adding the track information later, given what I wrote above.
So far my first few months using a Mac have been very pleasurable. However, this problem is quite frustrating at the halfway point of importing my cd collection to my Mac, so any answers would be really appreciated.Similar problems but not quite.
Yesterday, I imported a few CDs no problem. Then I noticed that one of my albums on my iPhone had the tracks in the wrong order (a pain on a gapless album!) but it's OK on the iMac.
I tried to re-import but iTunes crashes every time I click 'yes' to 'would you like iTunes to import...?'
I noticed that although the disc is mounted in the finder, it's not in iTunes and neither does it go off to check gracenote.
Anyway I fixed that issue with a reboot but the wrong track order still persists.

Itunes Sounds Choppy, particularly when on the internet
Hey there,
Itunes all of a sudden sounds very choppy; jumpy, particularly when surfing the internet. Don't understand why; running latest Windows with intel core i7 processor and plenty of RAM so it shouldn't be an issue. Any help would be very greatly appreciated.

iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases. Some users have found this eliminates the issue. -
My iPad does not have sound when on the Internet, including YouTube, but does have sound with iTunes and other apps. How can I correct this?
If you are sure that you have sound in other apps - and if you can still hear keyboard clicks and get notifications, then system sounds are not muted. Try this and see if it works.
Close all apps completely and reboot the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I made an iMovie, 6.0.3 using music from iTunes and photos from the Internet. It looked fine on iMovie, but when I uploaded it to youtube, some of the photo near the beginning were corrupted on youtube. I tried a different photo, and the corruption took place at the same moment of the video. How do I prepare the video for export to get it ready for youtube? I wasn't sure whether to clik web or web streaming. Am I supposed to clik Quick Time after I clik Share?
I unfortunately cannot remember where I got the 'trrndlines' plugin... I assume that it must have been from CFX (as it is located under /Users/Dom/Library/iMovie/Plug-ins/cfx/XXXtrrndlines.bundle).
As for what it does, I also do not know, as I do not think I ever used it in my previous video projects.
At this stage, I think I just need to uninstall it so that iMovie doesnt try to use it.
Do you know how to uninstall a CFX plugin in iMovie?
NOTE: I have re-installed iMovie 6.0.4 (instead of iMovie 6.0.3), but still encounter the same issue. -
i have the 1st iPad. Can it be updated to iOS 6.0.1? If not how to fix-when on the internet sometimes it will just stop and go to the apps screen.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )

"Extended" network means your phone is picking up towers from another carrier that Sprint has an agreement with. Long story short, Sprint does not have adquate coverage in the area where you are located when you see "extended".

my ipad is connected to my wifi but the app store and itunes store never open, the internet never works and it is always loading but never working. I dont understand why as my computer works for my wifi and my brand new ipad should too.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

TS1814 ITunes can't access the internet for updates or restores?
I'm trying to restore my iPod but my iTunes isn't accessing the internet for it. When I tired to update it it was still unable to access the internet, it can still access the internet for previously purchased songs and for the iTunes store. I'm using Windows 8. I already tried Apple's support, but I can't find an answer, anyone know a fix?
I've already done everything that is on the generic support pagesI had the same problem and this is what I did. On a side note and just a disclaimer as this may not be your issue, but helped with mine. Several months ago, I noticed that my XBOX 360 was not connecting to the live service. I disregarded it at that time because I did not use the Xbox live service much. However, several days ago, I switched security on my wireless router (Belkin N1) and found that my Apple TV could not connect to the internet, but would connect to my local network via wireless. My iMac also would connect, but no internet. I reset my router to factory defaults and found that the Apple TV was pulling a 169.XXX IP address. I had DHCP enabled on the router and I suspect this may be part of the issue, but I manually assigned an IP address to the Apple TV of 192.XXX. I also assigned a manual IP address to my iMac. Now both connect successfully, but is odd how I had DHCP working on both ATV and iMac before and were working. I've tried the Apple TV via wireless and wired and had the same problem before assigning a manual IP address. I assigned a manual address to the XBOX and it now works. The XBOX was also pulling a 169 IP address.
Like I said before, this may be an issue with my router giving out or may be an issue with Mac products but I am not completely sure. I just know that manually assigning the IP address made both systems access the internet now.

You probably have some kind of adware installed, assuming that your Mac is not actually running OS 9 or earlier (systems that date back to the 90s). I'm assuming that the forum choice was an error, as I doubt such an old system would even be capable of properly displaying modern websites. What version of Mac OS are you actually running? (Go to the Apple menu and choose About This Mac.)

When using my new ipad 4 retina display when on the Internet many of the images are blurry or low resolution? But if you go on apples website everything is crystal clear?? Why is this?
Ebay images look fine on mine. Image zoom doesn't work, but that's not suprising. I also support a number of public and private websites wth a number of images (some pretty large). Those look fine as well. If the Apple website looks good, there is no raeson other sites shouldn't as well.
For eBay specifically, I'd recommend using its app, but in general, you could try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset. -

I have a shockwave that uses preloadnetthing/importfileinto
to import various files (eg jpg's , png's , w3d's );
use my laptop as an example:
- when in author mode ( Director 10 ) all files do as
expected;
- when on the internet,
the png's download correctly, eg netdone(..)=1 ,
neterror(...) = 'OK' ;
but the importfileinto seems to fail; eg
member(my_png).number = -1 OR ...type=#empty
furthermore, when on other machines, everything works as
expected; eg ...type=#bitmap ;
any thoughts???
