ITunes still freezing at 9th second, anyone else have same problem?

I noticed a decline in the number of complaints regarding the 9th second freeze.
I have already upgraded to iTunes 7.5 and have 1.0.3 software installed. It declined greatly in the 1.0.2 update, but I have not noticed any difference between the 1.0.2 update and the 1.0.3. Is anyone still having this problem? I like connecting my iPod to iTunes while i'm at work.

It is hard to believe a problem this bad could be allowed to continue for so long. I suspect it is related to the way the song database on the ipod classic is encrypted. So every time the database needs to be updated the whole thing has to be re-encrypted which uses too much CPU and causes the freeze.
Is there any other software out there that I can use instead of iTunes?

iTunes 8 does not address this problem, which exists for large (160GB) iPod classics.
If I try to play a song from my ipod thorough iTunes, it will freeze up for about
10 seconds, taking up 99% of CPU power. The freeze will also happen if I create a playlist, move a song within a playlist etc.

The iPod on my iPhone 5 stops and starts intermittently. At one point, I couldn't shut it off using the earphone. Anyone else have same problem?

Since you can't switch it off.
Put it in a dry place for a week (a rice box is a good idea) and try to use a hair air-blower (warm but not hot) to dry it.

Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!

The latest flash player release is 11,0,1,152.
Can you upgrade to this version and see whether the crash stil exists?
Go to get.adobe.com/flashplayer to download and install flash player.

Apple Support, I have just purchased 3 movies 2 from my account and 1 from my wifes account and both systems are stating that it will take 2 days to download. I have a FIOS 150 megabit per second up and 150 megabit per second down busiuness class fiber service to my location. I have tested downloading 10Gbyte files from two other locations and both work fine. I additionally went out and have tested doing speed tests (http://www.speedtest.net/) from over 10 other locations all over the US and all are over 75 magabits per second download speeds with a few hitting 100 and 125 megabit per second speeds. What is wrong with your servers or your internet connection????

I have additionally tried to download them with my Apple TV and two different PCs all wired on Gigabit Ethernet with jumbo frames enabled. I have tried differnet DNS servers also. I can upload and download files to my office 50G in less than 1 hour. I have also download movies from 2 other movie sites without any problems.

I checked with SanDisk's own online support and they indicate that they have notified Apple of the issue.
According to SanDisk, the problem lies with Apple not having the iOS 8 version of the Safari browser having DRM decoding enabled that the Media Drive relies upon to decode and play iTunes DRM titles. Non DRM encoded videos will play in the browser.
DRM audio is not effected as this is handled by the native iOS music app.
As of the date of this post SanDisk have not been given a timeframe by Apple for this issue to be resolved.
I hope that Apple resolves this issue quickly as I have a large collection of DRM video titles on a 128Mb memory card installed in the Media Drive that I am unable to view.

Virtually no businesses have Pages to be able to read .pages files.
Definitely not those with PCs, because there is no version of Pages for PCs.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

I can’t just export to word as I have done in the past in one simple click.
Convert to button is greyed out.
Now I have to save the pdf file on c drive when I am in outlook…then goto export pdf file…then find file then export to word.
I bought new computer with windows 8 (which is awful) and then bought pdf export again…
Any thoughts on how I can get back to one simple click again when I open a pdf file from an email in outlook?

Mine wasnt working either but i saw in another thread that you should try Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. Ignore the warnings, all your settings have to be changed back but you dont lose any media or data, you just have to put your background back and location settings. It fixed Siri for me but dictation still doesnt work. Hopefully it works for you :-]

What did you upgrade? There is no such thing as iOS X, there is iOS and OS X. iOS is for iphones, ipads, and ipods and OS X is the Mac operating system.

I found this advice in another thread (here), which you might find helpful...
Unregistering the iMac from .Mac syncing and re-registering it (replacing the computer's information with the .Mac information) resolved the issue.
The .Mac sync information was Reset (i.e. recopied in it's entirety) from the MacBook (the 'good' computer) to .Mac prior to unregistering and re-registering the iMac, so a fresh copy of the sync could be loaded from .Mac to the iMac.
I hope this helps the others who have had this problem.
