Itunes stopping working even after reinstall - help please

I have not been able to access / watch anything stored on my iTunes on my laptop. every time I click on it I get the following message: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.
Can anyone help?  I've tried the QTMovieWin.dll advice but its still not working?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
It sounds like you have already done some great troubleshooting. Did you remove not only iTunes but all of its components in Windows as well when you reinstalled? When you remove and reinstall iTunes, all components must be removed in order to ensure it works properly when reinstalled. If you have already done this, please let me know. If you need to go through this process please use the information provided in the articles below.
I am not sure what version of Windows you have so I will include articles for all versions starting with XP and up.

    i have updated flash player, updated firefox, updated windows and pretty much anything i can think of . even then still i kept seeing the grey box telling me flash plugin has crashed. so i reinstalled flash and reinstalled firefox and still keep getting the same grey box saying flash has crashed

    - Your friends IMessage is not activated (you have to activiate it with your apple id)
    - Your IMessage is not activated

  • ITunes Stops Working when I Sync- Help!

    I've posted this on the iPhone forum also, but I thought someone here might could help. iTunes the last couple of days stops working when I try to sync my iPhone. It give me a message to update to the lastest version of iTunes,,, I have the lastest version.... Any suggestions would be appreciated...

    Try to syn videos taken with my old iPhone 3Gs (saved in my Window 7-32bit laptop) to my new iPhone 4.

  • Itunes stops working right after launch

    As of yesterday, when i open itunes , a few seconds after opening it stops working and shuts off
    I cant do anything to fix I have tried uninstall and reinstall, restroe points, and previous versions,
    nothing has worked, please help

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    If you've already tried a complete uninstall and reinstall try opening iTunes in safe mode (hold down CTRL+SHIFT as you start iTunes) then going to Edit > Preferences > Store and turning off Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases. You may find iTunes will now start normally.

  • Purchased apps stopped working??? Help Please

    Ok, so I have about 22 apps from the app store, and 1 out of the 22 is purchased, and that would be texas holdem... I been playing my apps all day long, but now after I synced my ipod they all stopped working, they open up for a second and close and return me to the home screen... Also I did get a alert after the back up process in itunes, it said something about these apps aren't authorized to play on this ipod??? How do I fix this???
    Someone please help me resolve this issue, anything would help!

    Hey There, I have the exact same problems as all you guys, and I think this should be fixed by apple.
    If the hard-reset doesn't work for you, instead of deleting all your items and starting fresh, i recommend you do this.
    go the the appstore, click search, and type in ebay, then look for ebay mobile and install that, I'm not advertising ebay, it's just that ebay is the quickest thing on the store to download and install.
    After installing, you can delete ebay mobile from your Phone or Touch to find that all your applications are now working great
    EG: for me, hard-reset don't work .

  • Itunes Not Syncing (even after reinstalling itunes)?

    So to keep a long story short, i have a ipod touch and recently its been impossible to sync it with itunes. I first updated both my itouch and itunes to the most recent type, that didnt do anything. Then, whenever i tried to use the run diagnostic feature on itunes, it just crashes instantly. So next, i tried reinstalling it, and every time i reinstall it, it syncs exactly once, then stops working again. I really dont know what the next step is to solving this, can someone pleeeeaaase help!

    Do you have any better luck with that if you update to iTunes 10.6.1.7?

  • QuickTime not working even after reinstall

    For some reason QuickTime is not working in Safari 5 for a page on my website even after a reinstall of QT 7.6.6
    Yet for Firefox 3.6.6 it is.
    I added an extension ("Deanimator") for Safari 5 a few days ago, but then removed it soon afterwards.
    There is a chance this extension may be the culprit because even Firefox had QT disabled so I had to reactivate it.
    Unfortunately I don't see any easy way to simply reactive QT for Safari (and as I said... I did reinstall QT 7.6.6 and restart my computer).
    Any ideas? Is there something simple I am missing?
    FWIW... HERE (click) is the webpage that works for Firefox but not Safari.
    It is normally a popup window so it will be way off center when the link above is clicked on... but you get the idea...

    Strange indeed since if my very first link in my first post is clicked on (while using Firefox 3.6.6 or Camino 2.0.3) the simple animation displays.
    I did open the .mov file in QT and I agree it does not animate for me either in this fashion.
    I had not viewed this page, or .mov file, in some time and when I last looked (many versions back on both QT and Safari) there was no problem.
    Again... very strange that it would animate in Firefox and Camino since when directly opened in QT it does not.
    "The html code uses the "embed" tag but yours is missing the closing tag."
    According to Apple there is no closing tag for this... and my syntax checker does not indicate a missing closing tag. Would you refer me to a URL that defines this?

    I have windows 7 64 bit on my PC.  Itunes continuously stops responding and closes whenever I open itunes.  Whether it is to play music, plug in my iphone or ipod shuffle.  I have uninstalled itunes too many times to count and reinstalled it.  Every suggestion I have found online I have tried and I AM ABSOLUTELY FED UP.  This prob makes my use of iphone for music impossible and a real bummer. PLEASE HELP

Sorry - no go - uninstalled the Creative apps and drivers again, uninstalled the MS High Definition Audio Device however it won't let me remove it's driver files (assuming as it's a nati've driver). Every time I uninstall it it wants to restart, every time I restart it's back again immediately. If I uninstall and don't restart, or even if I do, there's NO change to the MS Windows Update results even when forcing a recheck. I'm really stuck.
    If I try to li've with the MS HDAD driver with the Li've Titanium in the PC, if I plug anything into the front, to doesn't detect it's there - if I place anything in the back same again. If I remove the headphones it seems ready to accept something? . It's all back to front.
    The only time I could get the MS HDAD driver to do anything was with the onboard sound device turned on and the Titanium X-FI removed. Please note that no driver other than the MS HDAD has been loaded on the system for the onboard sound and it is definately turned off at this stage and during testing the X-FI.
    I'm going to have a play in Safe Mode, but currently all roads lead to fail.

  • Firefox will not open on my computer, even after reinstall. Please help?

    I've been using Firefox for a long time and it's been working well. I'm on acer Windows 7. However now it will not open even when I try to run "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe". Chrome or Internet Explorer work fine. I also reinstalled Firefox and it still doesn't work.

  • ITunes won't work, even after reinstall

    Hi,
    iTunes just bounces once or twice in the dock when I click on it, and refuses to open. It goes back to it's closed state after that, as if I never clicked on it at all. I've trashed it and all of its prefs, reinstalled twice... nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

    try these user tips:
    try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ folder and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.
    and, if you have flip4mac installed
    I found that the TSLicense plugin was causing the problem.
    From the log:
    PlugIn Path: /Library/Frameworks/TSLicense.framework/Versions/A/TSLicense
    PlugIn Identifier: net.telestream.license
    This pIugin is installed with the Flip4Mac Windows Media Components. I solved the problem by uninstalling the WM Components via the uninstaller at /Applications/Flip4Mac/Flip4Mac WMV Uninstaller.pkg, after which iTunes opens successfully.
