ITunes stops when eject CD

Have anyone had issue with while ejecting CD, iTunes pause for second. I'm not that picky but noticed on this brand new Mini.
1.5ghz mini..

It's normal. Mine does it too. It's because of the way CD-ROM drives work (ATAPI). The way ATAPI interface functions, mainly hardware commands like ejecting, pause the whole system.

  • Itunes stopped when loading.

I start Itunes and it would display a message "Itunes has stopped working.  Windows is checking for a solution to the problem"  and then you would have to click close.  I started I tunes in safe mode and it works.  I followed the instructions and reinstalled Itunes and same problem.  I found something by accident.  When I tunes is loading and you have your playlist showing, I right clicked on Genius to get the menu items popup.  I then click on Store on the right side of the window and itunes continues to work properly.  I repeated this process several times and get the same results.  Itunes stops working without doing the little routine and works when I repeat the routine.  Why does itunes behave this way?  What am I interupting that makes Itunes work when I right  click on the Genius?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Itunes Stop When It Gets to Videos in My Library. HELP PLEASE.

    Hi all,
This is my first time posting a message on this board. I have a problem and I was wondering if you all would be able to help me with it. Thank you beforehand.
I have Itunes 7 (the newest version of itunes)I tried clicking in one song expecting itunes to then play all of the songs following the song that I clicked to automatically play and it does so UNTIL it gets to a video (ANY/ALL videos) in my library and it just stops. It does not skip the video and go on to the next audio song or anything. It just stops playing.
I then tried to click the reversing arrows on the botton of itunes (to repeat playlist) and that did not help. The same problem described above happened.
I then came on itunes and read a post about itunes stopping at the end of songs. Although it was not precise to my problem of itunes stopping once it gets to "a video" in my library while on continous play mode, I looked at it anyways, and there was a suggestion to turn off "crossfade." I tried that and it did not work. The same problem described above continued to happen.
Can anyone help? Again, THANK YOU ALL.

Sorry no, I don't use Windows and I don't do direct support.
For Mac & Windows, you can use the free MPEG Streamclip to convert video in the Apple supported format.

After that import convert file to computer iTunes.
Select video in iTunes with your device connected, click Sync button.

  • ITunes freezes when Ejecting iPod

Every time I try to eject the iPod using one of the two Eject buttons in the iPod menu, iTunes seems to freeze, and I have to Manually Eject the iPod(At least I think its Manually Ejecting the iPod, to go into my coputer and use "Eject" on the shortcut menu)
What could be causing this, and how do I fix it?

I have the same thing.  It started this week.  I have the most recent version of iTunes.  My ipod Touch and iPad Air 2 work fine.  When I eject my (brand new) Nano, the nano ejects, but iTunes freezes.  I have to go and force it to close.
    Help please.
    Cheers,

  • Itunes crashes when ejecting CD

    Hi,
I have recently installed itunes 6 for a new nano ipod and am having trouble with itunes locking my computer. This happens frequently after downloading a CD when I try to eject it. When it occurs I can only turn off the computer using the power button.
Has anyone also have this issue and solved it?
    Cheers
    Dave

Same problem. This is hapenning to me on two different PC's. An Emachines Laptop and an HP Pavillion Desktop, both are more than capable of handlng ITUNES on paper. Both crash in the middle of importing an entire CD. I've had this problem for months and have received diddly for help. They told me to update my drivers...I did! This did nothing to solve the problem. So my resolution has been to not add music to my IPOD. Which really *****, but my PC isn't crashing anymore. And I can only listen to music I buy from Apple. Which is sweet too!

  • Itunes stops when computer sleeps

Before updating both iTunes (v11) and Apple TV (v2) I could stream videos fine using Home Sharing when the computer was asleep. Now iTunes appears to lose its connection as soon as the iMac goes into sleep mode. I have to awaken the computer every time this happens, and sometimes I need to reconnect the Apple TV to Home Sharing for it to work again.
    Any suggestions?

For the time, that is precisely what I'm doing. With previous versions I didn't have to remember to wake the computer to use Apple TV to watch videos or TV shows as the connection was always there. Now I do and its annoying.
Other than this issue, iTunes 11 has been a major improvement.

  • Is anyone else experiencing iTunes stopping when sampling songs?

  • Itunes stops working and I get an error message "APPCRASH" when I try to play a downloaded TV show. I have udated Itunes and removed and reinstalled quicktime.

When I try to play a downloaded TV show, itunes stops working and I get a error message "APPCRASH". I have updated itunes and removed and reinstalled quicktime.

Open your QuickTime control panel (either via the Control panels, or by going "Edit > Preferences > QuickTime Preferences" in the Quicktime Player). In the Advanced tab, uncheck Enable Direct3D video acceleration:
    ... and click OK.
Quit the QuickTime Player if you have it open. Restart the PC and try watching the videos in iTunes again. Do they play now?

I just got a new HP Win 7 64x Intel i7 computer, installed the latest 64x iTunes etc and tried to move my iPad over.   It will synch everything except for photos and videos; it gives the error "iTunes stopped working, program will close" when I try to synch my photos.   I have tried to uninstall and reinstall etc. to no avail, it just keeps doing the same thing.
I went back to my old computer 32x machine and successfully re synched and put my photos back on.   This seems to indicate that the problem is either with iTunes compatibility with the version of Win 7 on my HP computer or with the iPad compatibility.
Anyone find the solution to this bug?

  • I have an iPod Classic and when I try to move songs from my library to my iPod, my iTunes freezes. When I tried to eject my iPod, nothing happened and I had to force quit iTunes. When I unplugged my iPod, all of my songs had been deleted. What can I do?

After attempting to move songs from my iTunes library to my iPod Classic, the pinwheel kept spinning and iTunes froze. I tried pressing CTRL E to eject the iPod, but nothing happened. I unplugged the iPod then force quit iTunes, but when I checked my iPod all of the songs had been deleted. I tried plugging the iPod back in and slowly moved music over again, but iTunes still froze. I don't want to restore it to factory settings because I am afraid of losing the pictures I have on there and can't figure out how to get them off.

    Are you using a Macbook?
If all your songs on the iPod are deleted, most likely the photios are gone too.
Unless you put the photos, via Diskmode.
To recover the photos that you've put in Diskmode, use Finder to locate where it is in the iPod.
Try also if iPhoto can locate those photos.
