ITunes store acting weird...

Ok. This is a problem that had plagued my iTunes store for months now. I try to downalod anything off of it and it barely starts (2mb) and it stops. i have tried everything i can think of. Changing the SSL in the net options, wiping DNS, but nothing seems to work.
When i run diagnostics it comes up:
Network Connection Information
Active Connection: LAN Connection
Connected: Yes
Online: Yes
Using Modem: No
Using LAN: Yes
Using Proxy: No
SSL 3.0 Support: Enabled
TLS 1.0 Support: Enabled
Firewall Information
Windows Firewall is on.
iTunes is enabled in Windows Firewall.
Connection attempt to Apple web site was unsuccessful.
The network connection timed out.
Connection attempt to iTunes Store was successful.
Secure connection attempt to iTunes Store was successful.
Any help? this is annoying me. Oh, and im on Media center XP with service pack 2

Do you have any other security software running (besides Windows Firewall). If so, make sure it's up to date. Be it everything is updated, try disabling any anti-virus or firewall software you have and try again. Worth a shot.

  • ITunes store acting bizarre

    Hi, when I click on iTunes store now it takes about 5 minutes to open and when it does most of the images within iTunes store are just little question marks where the images can't be displayed.
    My app store on my iPhone 4 also takes 5 minutes to load and I cannot see any images there either or download updates.
    Even when I went on an Apple webpage for iTunes support it couldn't load! And my internet is working fine apart from all this.
    I'm running latest iTunes and yesterday got the Safari update.
    Anyone got any advice on this?? Thanks

    When I updated to 10.6.5 my Internet connection started acting strange. At times the only solution was a reboot.
    I have updated my Safari today and so far no issues - fingers xx.

  • My itunes is acting weird

    A few days ago my itunes started acting funny. It would make my music skip, stop, ect. Now when I open itunes it say analyzing data and the pinwheel pops up. I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it and it does the same thing. Any ideas?

    It sounds a bit like a compatibility mode may have been set for iTunes.
    Try the following document, only be sure that none of the boxes in the compatibility mode tab are checked (not just the compatibility mode box itself):

    Is Apple tweaking iTunes? First I get warning that my purchases could not be made because my credit card won't allow it, after reentering my security code, it went through, but suddenly my purchase history is absent(I think there are similar posts on this forum).
    Now, purchases simply went through without the previous warnings on paid purchases, NO, I haven't checked the tick box that disable it.
    And now, my wish list suddenly went blank.
    What's up with iTunes? I doubt it's just my PC...

    Yes, they are tweaking things. This has been done before when Apple was having high server volume.

    Every time I try to purchase a new song/album it tells me that the store in unavailable to take store credit at this time and to use a different method to purchase. But the thing is I don't have any un-used credit right now. I just want the store to bill my credit card like it always does. This happening to anyone else?

    iTunes Store have been acting crazy recently... When i open the store on any of my devices, it doesn't show the artwork of any albums, it doesn't let me preview any tracks... I can't makes purchases through iPhone... Tried trough MacBook. Purchase is confirmed but I can't see the download on my library... Tried to download on my iPhone with iCloud and it says "could not be downloaded at this time"... I signed out of iTunes to see if it was coming from my account and it's the same problems... iTunes Store isn't working on any of my devices wether I'm signed in it not... It's very frustrating

  • Weird iTunes Store Mishap

    I was downloading Mew's album "Frengers" off of the iTunes store. It was just about done downloading, when iTunes froze. Got really weird. I waited for probably 3 minutes, and nothing had happened. So I used "Force Quit".
    Then when I re-opened iTunes, only 2 of the songs (out of 10) were in my library. I checked for downloads, and it downloaded another song. I then looked in the album's actual folder on my computer, and found all of the files, except for one.
    One song was missing. I checked for purchases again, and it said that there were no more purchases.
    When I looked at my account info, I had been billed for the album, but only 2 of the songs are in my Purchased playlist.
    So I'm missing one song, and only 2 of the 10 songs are in the Purchased playlist.
    What the heck happened, and how can I fix this?

    I have the same issue.  I try to download an app from the App store on my iPhone 5, and just says that I can not use that user ID to purchase from iTunes.  I saw a couple of threads that this might be an apple issue?  Not sure though.

    I noticed it today while browsing the iTunes store.  It is really annoying.  I've checked all the preferences and even my account profile to see if there is anything that can be turned on/off for alerts or sounds.
    Can anyone tell me how to turn it off?

    I checked the phone in more places and I noticed that this buzz (static noise) happens only in certain places. In places where I had constant 5 bars while talking the sound was clear. When I checked this orgininally and got this noise this was in area where I have 3 bars.
    However, still with Blackberry even with 2 bars or only 1 I had no such thing.
    Either all iPhones have this bug or my model is particulary defective but it shouldn't be.

    I get this strange external protocol request when I try to access the itunes store from a website. For instance when I go to the ipod touch app store from apple.com and click buy the software update and it says connecting to itunes store a message comes up saying external protocol request with some itmss: links and such. I then say launch application but it just opens the itunes store, and does not take me to the link. This has happened on other occasions as well with trying to purchase anything from the itunes store. Help!!
