ITunes Store "Add to Wish List" missing running iTunes 10.7 Mac

I'm hoping this gets corrected. I'm seeing this in other discussions too.
https://discussions.apple.com/message/20560910#20560910

Yep, just noticed the same problem and posted in the other thread applejack1963 linked to. I didn't even know there was a new version 11 of iTunes, but I definitely don't want to upgrade. iTunes 9.2.1 runs slow enough as it is on my old Mac, so the last thing I need is a newer version that I imagine will just slow my computer down even more. Has anyone upgraded to version 11, and noticed that the "Add to Wish List" option reappears?

Can't buy songs? No "Buy" option in drop down menu under price? Can add to wish list but not download to IPOD

    Hey tomfromphoenixville,
Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you do not see the option to buy a song from the iPod. Are you trying to buy the song in iTunes on Windows or from the iPod? I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.

  • Why is "add to wish list" option missing?

I prefer to use the Wish List to buy songs at once, but I'm encountering an issue where iTunes isn't giving me an option to add some songs to my Wish List. Some work and some don't, but I can't figure out why. Any thoughts?

Thank you iappod and lllaass for your suggestions! I did execute both to no avail.
Just by luck, I solved my own dilemma. While in the App Store, I obviously had only been trying to add "Free" or "Free+" apps to Wish List. Because when I came across an interesting "Paid" app, the Add to Wish List button was there as an option, after pressing the    button. Just to confirm this, I tested all three categories. At least on my iPod Touch 5, with latest update installed, I can only save paid apps for later consideration.
Thanks again for your time and help!
    Sincerely,
    M

  • Add to wish list

I found an app that I wish to add to my wish list, I cant find the text which says "Add to wish list"

    HI Andy ...
If you click the black arrow facing down just to the right of the price of an app, if the wish list feature is available, you'll see:  Add To Wish List
Keep in mind, not all content supports that feature.
I haven't seen this feature available yet in the Mac App Store which is here where you posted your question.
You can view your Wish List under Quick Links right side of the iTunes Store window.

  • Add a wish list

Please add a wish list feature to apps and other content on the site. I'd buy more if I could remember what I liked. I have to keep track of my liked items separately. You're losing millions in revenue because you don't have it. With it, others can also buy gifts. Think Amazon.

You are not addressing Apple here at all.  We are all itunes users like you.

If it's not a free item then you should get the 'add to wish list' icon via the share button - is it a free or paid-for item that you are looking at ?

  • Error message (-1202) when I try to buy / add to wish list? any help?, error message (-1202) when I try to buy / add to wish list? any help?

I have tried a number of the fixes on here for the loading issues but they don't solve my particular problem.
iTunes loads perfectly and i have access to buy stuff from my iPhone 4.  However, when I want to wish list stuff from my phone or the computer i get an error message (-1202).  This will not let me buy or list.
This seems to have happened since the most recent software update.
It is also happening on my husband's account (which is separate from mine) and we use the same computer.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Have tried

some folks with vista have found a work around by right clicking on 'redeem' and selecting 'copy'. Then go to internet explorer and paste and hit enter. You may now be able to redeem your cards this way.
This issue appears to be a certificate issue with the system. Unfortunately windows does not have a link to install these root certificates from the website for vista like you can XP, so you cannot reinstall them if something gets corrupted.
You may have to redeem on another computer or email itunes through expresslane.apple.com with the codes from the gift cards and explain the situation. they may be able to redeem them to your account for you.
The last alternative would be to get a Mac.

  • Some apps do not have the add to wish list option

    What's up with that?
Anyone else have a similar issue?

When you go to the iTunes Store and find an item of interest with a price listed, doesn't it look like this:
And then if you click the down-facing arrow on the right, don't you see this?

  • Mac App Store Needs a Wish List or "Buy Later"

Ever benn browsing apps and know you want the app but not ready to buy it, then days later go back to find it only to realize you cant' remember?  I can't tell you how many times I wish I could save the app to purchase later.  The app store needs a second option to "buy later"

You can provide feedback to Apple here.

  • How do I save apps in the app store into a wish list? Or hasn't apple realised yet that this is costing them millions of $$$?

Pleaee anyone know? Or can anyone at apple make this feature available like on amazon.com?
Every time I visit the app store there are apps I want to download later but when I log back on I forget their name or what they where

No, there is no way to do this in the App store.
Also; you are not addressing Apple here, i'd recommend leaving some feedback at the feedback page; www.apple.com/feedback
P.s. Use Notes, just type in the name of the app, and then whenever you feel like downloading, just find it's name in there

  • ITunes Store Apps (etc) Page Numbers, Wish List For My iTunes Account

Why doesn't the iTunes Store have page numbers under each page of the items (songs, e-books, apps, etc), because with over 200000 apps I will be damned if I am going to go back to the start of each apps category (for example) clicking in increments of 12 apps at a time until I get to app number 7264!!!!!! I WILL JUST STOP USING THE APPS STORE!!!
Some apps have a PRODUCTIVITY button in the left top corner that will take you back to the last apps browsing page you were on, while other apps have a BACK button in the top left corner WHICH TAKES YOU RIGHT BACK TO THE FIRST PAGE OF THE APPS CATEGORY YOU WERE BROWSING, so if you were up to app 734 (for example) you have to click through 64 apps pages JUST TO GET BACK TO THE APP YOU WERE UP TO LAST!!! INFURIATING - BEGGARS BELIEF!?!
WHY CANT I CLICK AN 'ADD TO WISH LIST' BUTTON ON EACH APP PAGE, SO I ALSO DONT HAVE TO BROWSE THROUGH ANOTHER 100 PAGES OF APPS TO FIND THE ONE I LOOKED AT IN MY LAST ISTORE SESSION??????
Hasn't anyone at apple used eBay or amazon???

Update: As of this morning the updates were GONE again, so I'm thinking this may recur on and off until all settles after the launch of new software and iDevices this week.

  • ITunes Store won't let me access Wish List

I have been trying all morning to purchase some music, but I keep getting a timed out error from the iTunes store. I am not able to access "Add to Wish List" from the drop down menu, nor will it let me access my own "Wish List" from the drop down under my account name. I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes completely but nothing has changed.

You are not the only one who is confused. But, yes, Virginia, there is NO way to use the Wishlist that I can find...at least according to Apple. (PLEASE correct me if I am wrong; I have been working on this for about an hour now...)
Here are the directions for how to use the Wishlist:
Itunes store: How to use wishlist (Last Modified: October 02, 2009
    Article: HT1368)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1368
According to the directions on the KB article "go to the Quicklinks, and in the Quick Links box on the right click the My Wish List link." Not true; the link is NOT there. However, you can navigate to the Wishlist little white dropdown triangle on the far right, next to your email address (it will appear when you hover the mouse over it). Ok, there's the Wishlist; let's manage it, ok? Nope, can't do that, either; the page has no way to manage it-can't add or delete, ONLY purchase. Hmm, well, let's try the rest of the instructions. Ok, go to a song, right click the 'buy' button, and choose Wishlist from the dropdown menu...oops! That doesn't work either! Buying is, again, the only option.
Someone clearly needs to get fired, since this article was updated only 2 days ago. How do you get THE ENTIRE article wrong? Come on, Apple, you can do better than that.
And here is where you go to complain that the instructions, ahem, do not work:

  • Why is my wish list not updating when I add songs through iTunes Radio?

    Wish list is not updating.

Count me in the same boat.  I'm an iTunes Match customer.  While listening to iTunes Radio I push the star and then choose to add to wish list except it never adds.  Doing the same function on my Mac works fine.
I found a note from Apple that stated you can only add "albums" to your wish list on iOS 7, not songs.  That then begs the question....why add functionality that is purposefully intended to add songs in your own UI????

  • It seems that both users and iTunes would benefit via a wish list capability;  thoughts?

It would-be great if the iTunes store had a wish list functionality;  a way to track future purchases

To add a song to your wish list, click the down arrow on the Buy button and choose "Add To Wish List."
To open up your Wish List (and buy something if you wish) go to the home page of iTunes Store and click 'My Wish List" at the upper right.
