ITunes store browser pauses

Hi,
When within iTunes, and attempting to access the iTunes store, the iTunes store browser starts up ok but the page does not load correctly. Basically the download bar up the top of the iTunes browser window stops around 90-95% of the way through and no content is shown.
The only way i can get content shown in the browser is by reloading the page 2-3times. The same holds for any links i click within the iTunes store. At first i thought it might be internet related, but iTunes is the only app i have a problem with.
Any help on this is much appreciated, or if someone can point me to logs or anything that might give me a sniff of what is happening.
Cheers

IE8 seems to be the only browser that will open itunes store links on Windows 7. You can report it to Apple.

  • ITunes Store Browsing History

Just wondering: Like a web browser, if there any way to view the music, videos, etc. you've visited in the iTunes Store over time? Like the Safari History menu in the iTunes Store? Just wondering.

There is not a long-term history like browsers. The most iTunes can do is simply remember the last handful of pages you visited, and you can go back and forth between them in the upper left hand corner. Also, you can click and hold down the mouse button on the back or forward arrow, to see a longer list of pages you recently visited. However, that is the extent of iTunes remembering what pages you went to.
If you think you stumble across some content you'll want to go back to, maybe try adding certain items to your Wish List, which you can access at any time from the home page or account drop down menu,

  • Itunes store browse function

Hello, I am no longer able to use the browse function in the itunes store. This is the first problem with itunes that I have encountered in well over a year of use. The browse function works when I'm in my music library, but otherwise no luck. This problem surfaced briefly several weeks ago and I didn't think much of it. I receive automatic updates from microsoft as well as my security service I suspect one of these. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated Thank-You

+When I click on the browse button icon (bottom right in the itunes home page) I get three blank (white) screens over the song list screen the headings of the screens are intact+
OK, I don't have any browse button on the bottom right. I am running an older version, 7.1.1.5, so that may be why I don't have that button.
Anyway, what I did was, iTunes > View > Show Browser and I see the exact same blank stuff that you see.
So I think it is an iTS problem, and not a problem with both our PCs.
I am going to shoot them an email using the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page; I hope you will, too!

  • ITunes store browsing

Why can't iTunes have the Genre highlighted with each album as you move the mouse over it, would be very helpful. Anyone agree???

Yu can go to the iTunes menu 'View' and select' view options' and check the iTunes that you want to see in iTunes.
You can post feedback about iTunes to Apple using the iTunes drop down menu.

  • ITunes Store Downloads

Hi! I have a problem. I have some TV shows downloaded already, and everytime I sync my iPod, I am prompted to enter my Apple ID info to check for downloads. My problem is that I already have downloaded what iTunes is trying to download. Does anyone know how to DELETE!! iTunes downloads for good?
(iTunes asks to check for downloads when I purchase something from the iTunes store.)

The only way I know is to go here and fill out the form: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
Ask them to delete your download queue.

  • Itunes store failure

Admittedly, I was a bit of a bonehead to update itunes while I had a song downloading, but I didn't expect it to charge my account, register the song in my history, and never give it to me.
Song was: Paint the Silence by South.
I've tried 'reporting' the problem, but the guy on the phone referred me to a dead link, and the Itunes 'Purchase History's button 'Report a Problem' just dissapears after being clicked. No idea how to proceed. Perhaps one of you Genii will know.
    Thanks.

That "Report a Problem" in purchase history is really unreliable. Use this page, instead

  • Safari wont load or itunes store or ping

    Hi,
i have a windows 7 pc 64bit. Itunes store, safari and ping will not load. This also occurs on a windows 7 32bit pc on the same network. I have uninstalled/reinstalled all apple products. I definitly have the 64bit version of software on the 64bit pc and the latest versions of all software and i have disabled windows firewall and all spyware/antivirus programs. I have tried to email apple and they were hopeless and pathetic. I dont want to ring anyone at apple and email jsut went in circles.
    Steve

I had the same issue on Vista and started researching this after being unable to sync my iPhone4 or access the iTunes Store after upgrading iTunes and Safari. Found a thread here that gave me the tip to uninstall ALL Apple software and then reinstall it all. This includes QuickTime, Application Support, Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, etc.
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling (and burning about 3 hours in the process) all the software I had uninstalled. However, after I had installed iTunes and before I installed Safari, I started iTunes to see if I could access the iTunes Store and I could!
Well, I thought I was on my way to full syncing and iTunes Store browsing pleasure..."must have been a bad install" I said and promptly reinstalled Safari as well.Once that was done, I started up iTunes and was met with the same blank iTunes Store screen, and was unable to sync my iPhone. Sigh.
So - uninstalled all Apple software again and resinstalled JUST the iTunes package. This time around, full success with iTunes Store and iPhone syncing!
Obviously, a browsing engine/rendering failure on the part of Safari that doesn't impact the browser in iTunes until Safari is installed.
    1. Uninstall all Apple software
    2. Reinstall ONLY iTunes package

  • "Broken chain link" icon appears when trying iTunes store

It's really slow going trying to reach the store right now. When I do, I get all these broken chain link icons in place of pictures. Also, my podcasts are loading in a lightning-fast 45 minutes each. This is a fairly new developement, it's been about a week now. I can't find much helpful info around the forums so far. Anyone?

I have a few questions since most likely we will have to figure this out on our own. I have this problem occur a few times in a day however it is random.
    My system:
    Vista Ultimate 32bit
    Antivirus: Kaspersky Internet Security 8.0
    Web browswer: Exporer 8.0.6
    Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 9600GT
    Ram: 4GB
    Genius Settings: off
    Itunes View: Cover Flow
Keyboard / Mouse: Logitech bluetooth MX5500
I have also experienced very sluggish performance with itunes store browsing/serach and have yet to figure that out. It started with Itunes 7
If we can find a common issue we may be able to figure this out as a group.

  • Error 11111 in iTunes store.

I just bought a 15 dollar iTunes card to buy music in the iTunes store like I normally do. The card redeemed fine and my money showed up, but when I went to buy a song it said "Could not purchase 'song'. An unknown error occurred (11111)." I tried this with several different songs, receiving the same results. Help?

  • Can't access redeem, account, support links in iTunes store

    I'm running iTunes 9.2.1 on Mac OS X 10.4.11
I can open the iTunes store, browse all the media, and view my wish list. I can't log into my account or redeem a gift card. I get an error message that says

  • Incomplete iTunes Store Downloads

I recently purchased some music from the iTunes Store but the files did not complete the download process therefore they are not in my library. The files however in a "downloads" folder in My Music in the "iTunes" folder. How do I recover the files. They are listed in my billing history. How do I gain access to these files? I even purchased them twice...

    Hi There
In iTunes you can check for available downloads by clicking on the store menu and selecting that option. Use this to try and download them.
If that doesn't work then contact apple via http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser
    Hope this helps

  • ITunes Store won't let me buy a song..

The store says, "The availability of the item changed while you were using the store. The same item may be available with a different price or elsewhere in the store."
I saw this last week, and have tried a few times to buy this song and this keeps coming up. I've tried buying the same song from a different album and it says the same thing.
Is it really the song that's not available? Or is there something else that could possibly be wrong?
    Thanks

    dbp,
What song are you trying to purchase? Can you purchase other items, like the free single of the week?
Are you running the most up to date version of iTunes? Is the date and time on your computer correct?
If you can make other purchases, you may want to report this by submitting a request for assistance here: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
    Hope this helps,
    Raleigh

  • Help getting archived podcasts into itunes store list

    Hey all
Recently we've switched over storage for our podcasts and started a brand new feed. the thing is that we have archives we would like to post from the past two years. in the iTunes store browser only our 5 most recent are showing up. how do i add in the older episodes so that they are available for DL as well?
    thanks in advance.
    andrew

iTunes gets all its information from the feed, so episodes listed there will show. There isn't, AFAIK, any limit to the number of episodes (I saw one podcast with over 300); however many podcast creation programs automatically limit the number of episodes shown, removing old ones as you add new ones. There is usually a setting to change this: for iWeb please see this thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=375665
for other programs/online services you will have to look around the settings.
