Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

  • ITunes store crashing on iOS7

iTunes store crashes on launch on iOS7 for iPhone 5. Is this a known bug or and is there a fix. Want to give Apple some money in exchange for some music but unable to do so ;-)

Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.

  • UK iTunes Store crash on iPod Touch

    Hello.
Could someone in the UK who is using v1.1.3 of the iPod Touch software please check the following to see if you get the same error that I do:
    1) go to the iTunes icon to enter the iTunes Store
    2) go to the Genres tab
    3) go to the More Genres entry
    4) select Classical
Does the iTunes Store crash on your iPod Touch like it does on mine?
    Thanks.

Yes it does crash for me; good find.

  • After upgrading to iOS 8.2, my iTunes store crashing after selecting 'Films'.

When I open iTunes store and select 'Films', iTunes store crashes while loading. It is working fine on Music, Search, Tones filters. I think it started happening after upgrading OS to iOS 8.2.
    I am on wi-fi.

    Hello Wexxwoxx,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that after you updated to iOS 8.2, while typing a message your iPhone seems to be locking itself. In this situation, there are a couple of different troubleshooting steps that I would recommend.
First, I would suggest closing the Messages application completely by using the instructions in the attached article below.
Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support
After the Messages app is closed, I would recommend resetting your iPhone using the instructions in the next attached article. After the reset, open Messages fresh and attempt to use as you normally would.
Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • ITunes Store crashing in iTunes 10.7

    Hello.
I am using iTunes 10.7 on a 64-bit Windows 7 laptop. Since Wednesday iTunes has been crashing whenever I try to enter the iTunes Store. I get the message:
"iTunes has stopped working: A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Of course, Windows cannot tell me what the exact problem is, and has NOT notified me about a solution. I have absolutely no idea why this started happening because it was working perfectly fine before Wednesday. Extremely frustrating!
I've tried rebooting the computer, running the program as an admin and moving the file QTMovieWin.dll. All of these were suggested by people here, and all have failed.
However, there is one thing I can do. Since I installed iTunes in 2012, it has not been "properly installed" (whatever that means), so will uninstalling and re-installing work? I have been very reluctant to do this because it is very likely that I will lose my library of music and will have to recreate it from scratch if I do so.
What more can I try in order to get rid of this error? Thank you.

    Hi Eternities,
So iTunes stops responding and Windows gives the error.
There are a couple articles I would check out for iTunes hanging.
iTunes for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8: Fix unexpected quits or launch issues
Using Msconfig to troubleshoot conflicts in Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8
The first has more general troubleshooting and the second more detailed steps for conflict isolation.

  • ITunes store crashes iTunes on Windows 8.1

I recently updated windows to windows 8.1, and since doing that whenever I go to the iTunes store, iTunes crashes. I have no problem playing my music and such, but whenever I go to the store it says the program has become unresponsive and must close.
I've reinstalled iTunes, made sure that everything is up to date, and the works. I'm guess I'm just wondering if anyone else had this problem after upgrade and what they did to fix it.
    Thanks!

    Just found the answer
Try adding C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support; to the system variables PATH
iTunes tries to use QTMovieWin.dll and that the file is in the directory
    Guide to add a PATH:
    Windows 8
Drag the Mouse pointer to the Right bottom corner of the screen
Click on the Search icon and type: Control Panel
Click on -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced
Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
    Close the window.
    Windows 7
Select Computer from the Start menu
Choose System Properties from the context menu
Click Advanced system settings > Advanced tab
Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
    Windows XP
Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced
Click on Environment Variables, under System Variables, find PATH, and click on it.
In the Edit windows, modify PATH by adding the location of the class to the value for PATH. If you do not have the item PATH, you may select to add a new variable and add PATH as the name and the location of the class as the value.
    Close the window.

  • ITunes Store Crashes Windows 8.1 | QTMovieWin.dll fix did NOT work

I am running iTunes 11.1.3 on Windows 8.1 64 bit. iTunes and the iTunes Store worked prior to my upgrade to from Windows 8 to 8.1. Every time I attempt to access the iTunes Store or anything associated with it, iTunes crashes. I have tried the QTMovieWin.dll fix by thurdy, which failed to work. I have also attempted booting iTunes into safe mode, loading iTunes under another user in Windows, and have checked for third-party plug-ins. None of this has worked. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.

Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you?
If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

  • Installed Itunes 11.0 on Windows 7 64-bit / Itunes store crashes app completely

    Hello
I Installed Itunes 11.0 on Windows 7 64-bit and I can download podcasts and it will sync,
but after downloading app updates and clicking done,
Itunes crashes immediately when it tries to access the itunes store.
If I try to access the Itunes store though Itunes at any time it crashes.  CrashTunes?
Ninetynine percent of the time I don't want to go to the Itunes store ...
I want to sync my updated pocasts and updated apps to the phone and leave.
not half-sync my phone, crash and repeat until I get the timing right,
then have to break more traffic laws that usual to get to work on time.
    Sorry for the vent,
Thanks for your time to any of those who help,
    Bobby

After numerous calls with Apple support, I finally got it working
For me, the problem was the following:
    1. Make sure that Internet Explorer is your standard browser for windows (if not...make it)!
    2. In Internet Explorer go to "Internet Options" then "Advanced"
    3. In the list scroll down to "Security" and UNCHECK "Check for server certificate revocation"
    4. Make sure that (a bit further down) "Use SSL 3.0" and "Use TLS 1.0" are CHECKED.
    5. Delete the "SC Info" folder once again...
    6. Run iTunes in Admin-Mode
After that, I was able to activate my computer and I changed my browser back to Firefox afterwards...
Hope that will help you too !!
    Cheers

  • Itunes store crashes my vista computer

    Hi All, your help needed.
I run vista on a fujitsu siemens laptop.
If I open iTunes (latest version) all is well but when iTunes tries to open the iTunes store the entire computer crashes (not just iTunes). Just before the crash you get some thin white horizontal lines across the screen.
Some yellow writing appears on a blue background. It disappears very quickly so it isn't really possible to read the whole page, but it says something about 'bios'. Then it restarts.
If I disconnect from the internet, making it impossible to connect to the iTunes store, then iTunes seems to work fine.
The only time this has happened before was when I tried to open the films section of the iTunes store. I updated iTunes and it seemed to fix it.
I removed iTunes using 'add or remove programs' and reinstalled iTunes from the Apple website. But the problem persists.
I had a problem before of the computer crashing when I tried to download stuff from the internet, whether or not iTunes store related, but it seemed to fix itself after an update of Vista.
Sick and tired of spending valuable time sorting out vista problems.
    I hope you can help
    Peter

Some yellow writing appears on a blue background. It disappears very quickly so it isn't really possible to read the whole page, but it says something about 'bios'. Then it restarts.
Let's try slowing that blue screen down so we can get a better look at what it is saying.
    1) Open your system control panel (Start->Control Panels->System).
    2) Select the "Advanced" tab.
    3) Click the "Startup and Recover" section's "Settings" button
    4) Verify that under "System Failure" the "Automatically restart" checkbox is not checked.
With that setting in place, does the blue screen persist for a while? If so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x\[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
If the blue screen mentions a specific file (for example, “ati3duag.dll”), let us know what that is called too. (Exact spelling, please.)

  • Accessing the iTunes Store crashes iTunes (Windows XP)

I run iTunes on XP. Over the last month, I can open iTunes just fine. But as soon as I access the iTunes Store, I get a Windows error message (that iTunes has encountered an error and needs to close, etc.). I looked in the event monitor and it usually says that the module that crashed is unknown, though a couple of times I have seen the javascriptcore.dll file listed as the faulting module.
Usually, it will crash when I get to the halfway point of opening the store. Upon rare occasion, I can get to the point of searching, but as soon as I choose a result, iTunes crashes.
I had this to happen one time before and it resolved itself. It happened again a couple of months ago and I followed the Apple approved steps to cleanly uninstall and reinstall all products related to iTunes. It worked for a couple of weeks and started up again.
Additional facts: Podcasts update just fine, as long as I don't try to go to the podcast site. Also, I have Safari installed and it also crashes almost immediately when opening.
I really need to find the root cause, especially if Apple wants me to buy anymore stuff from the store!

I looked in the event monitor and it usually says that the module that crashed is unknown, though a couple of times I have seen the javascriptcore.dll file listed as the faulting module.
Hmmmm. If we can trust the second sort of message, you've got a problem with your Apple Application Support.
What version of iTunes are you currently running, Cha?

  • ITunes store crashes iTunes (on Windows 7)

    Hello,
When I try to access iTunes store, then iTunes crashes with an unexpected error.
It's the latest version of iTunes.
I tryed to reinstall it, unlink the PC and link it with my apple account ... unsolved problem.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards.

"You can add the PATH enviromental variable in Control Panel> System> Advanced System Settings.
    Alternatively, I was successful just copying the QTMovieWin.dll from c:\program files (x86)\common files\apple\apple application support\ INTO c:\program files (x86)/iTunes"

  • ITunes Store Crashing iTunes

I have updated to the new version of iTunes and whenever I try to access the iTunes Store it crashes iTunes.
This started happening after the new download was installed.
When I click on the store icon iTiunes behaves as usual with the bar filling up with blue but when the bar fills up iTunes crashes.
It only seems to do this on my administrators account too - which is odd.

I'm having a very similar problem to this. I downloaded 8.0.1, and now iTunes tries to connect to the store upon startup, and crashes shortly thereafter. iTunes is now completely unusable. I'm using Mac OS 10.4.11.

  • ITunes Store Crashes - Windows 7 (64 bit)

I can run iTunes fine but, when I try to access the Store it crashes.
    System: WIndows 7 Professional, 64bit
    iTunes: 10, 10.5.2.11
I have tried uninstalling it and clearing every possible area that it leaves information and then reinstalling it but, it still does the exact same thing.  No matter what I do, once I try to go to the iTunes Store, it closes.
    Please help!!!
    Thank You.

Also, I do not have an ATI video card.  I've seen the discussions on this from 2010 but, I have a basic Intel video card in my laptop.

  • ITunes, iTunes Store Crashing Issues

When I try to download TV shows I've purchased through the iTunes store, it takes literally days for the downloads. During this time, iTunes repeatedly crashes while downloading, usually after about 5 minutes of file downloading. The download suddenly stops and iTunes is unresponsive and "Quit" does not even appear in the drop down menu when trying to quit iTunes. "Quit" isn't grayed out - it just isn't there at all. Typically, also when this happens, the entire computer becomes completely locked up and I can't even use Force Quit. What ever I try just results in the spinning color wheel which goes on and on. Any one with any ideas? This is very frustrating!

It was an iMac file directory problem. Fixed and reinstalled everything and all is working.

  • Itunes store crashing

Itunes store app is suddenly not oppening weeks after iO7 updates.  How can I update or restore without having to restore the entire phone?

My itunes 9.0.1.8 crashes when I search for app by typing in the name. Sometimes it just freeze when I leave it open. My friends laptop has a same problem. Both using Windows 7 x32. x61s and x61t.
