ITunes Store Fonts?

(This is a refinement of a questions I previously asked.)
Some buttons in the Windows version of iTunes (10.5) Store are blank, i.e., no text displaying.  I think this happened after I upgraded MS Office from 2003 to 2010.  I'm pretty confident that when Office 2003 was installed, the screens worked properly.  To further confuse the issue iTunes 10.5 was installed prior to Office 2010.
Does anyone know which fonts are used in the buttons in the "Purchase History" and "Payment Information" screens?  If it is font I don't have installed then I could install it.
Thanks in advance.

FOUND THE SOLUTION !!!
Interestingly enough, in trying to solve a TurboTax 2011 installation problem I stumbled upon the solution to BOTH the TurboTax problem and the iTunes Store not displaying text problem.  It seems that some MS fix package last year deleted some needed fonts.  By REINSTALLING THESE FONTS, my TurboTax and iTunes Store problems were resolved.
The fonts can be found at:

This worked for me...hopefully it will work for you.

• ITunes Store font size on 4K monitor

I just got this beautiful 4K monitor, but it had rendered the iTunes Store nearly useless. The font is so small that I have to use accessibility apps to read anything in the store.
Please let me know how I can modify this font size to something reasonable. This is just impossible to use now.

As I have come to find out, the iTunes store (or iTunes itself) needs a fix. While reducing the utlity of the monitor is an option, it's not an acceptible one. I suppose once they sell enough 4K monitors that the problem becomes more widespread they might consider fixing their product so that it works in many environments (Mac/Windows/large/small, etc).

• Itunes Store Font Display

Since upgrading to v. 9, the artist name is in a illegible font on the main page. On other pages various parts are in the same gibberish. Did I get a bad font install during the installation process?

Following this thread with interest as since updating to iTunes 9.0.0.70, the artist names and section headers in the iTunes store now look like this - http://www.stevenforbes.com/itunes.jpg.
Deleting fonts isn't a viable solution for a problem that is exclusive to iTunes 9. Performing a system restore to a date prior to the iTunes update would also be inconvenient to say the least.
I buy a fair amount from the iTunes store but won't be until this gets sorted by Apple, perhaps an update will be released shortly containing the fix.

• Itunes Store fonts/icons are getting bigger

Hi,
Just found out this morning that fonts/icons in iTunes Store are getting bigger. I found no way how to change the size. Have spent hours for googling but with no luck. I know that store is actually a browser, but when I checked Firefox, Safari, nothing show the same size of icons/fonts.
Anyone can help to fix?
Thank you very much before.

Try a reset, press and hold both the home and power buttons for 10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Release both buttons. Wait 15-20 seconds till your iPad starts on it's own. Check apps.

• ITunes Store Font display problem

Hi there,
Since I've installed itunes on my XP notebook it has never displayed the titles of songs and albums correctly. The words are mixed up with small vertical characters. They looks something like this : UFO ││││││ or EXILE ││││││. Even after I upgraded to the latest version of itunes I still have this issue.

hmmmmm. could you possibly send us a screenshot of the effect? there's instructions on how to do that in the following user tip:
hudgie: Taking screenshots to help with problems
... is this hitting you just in the Music Store, or in the rest of your iTunes as well?

• Solution for font problem using iTunes store (iTunes 9 @ Vista)

For all those of you who experience font problems rendering the iTunes store (I got partly jibberish many letters rendered as squares). For me it turned out that
my Arial fonts were corrupted (there were other files with the same font names residing in my Windows font directory). Deleting all Arial and installing them new from another Vista machine solved the problem.
I got to analyze the problem as follows: the rendering of the iTunes 9 store is done by the webkit. This reads a list of available fonts with files names from the registry and stores it in the file C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\WebKit\FontsList.plist (do not edit, it is generated each time you start iTunes anew). If you compare (e.g., using diffdaff) this file to the one of a Vista computer that does not show the font problem, you pretty soon realize which font family might cause the problem for you. For me it was Arial (which is used by Windows as a substitution for the Helvetica fonts BTW).

You can try to download items one at a time to get rid of this error message. Follow these steps for such:
1) Open iTunes.
2) From the Store pull-down menu at the top, choose Check for Purchases.
3) Enter your account name and password, then click Check. Your purchases should begin downloading.
4) Under the STORE section on the left, click Downloads.
5) Click the Pause All button in the lower-right corner. This will temporarily pause all of your downloads.
6) To resume only one of the downloads, click the refresh button that appears to the right of one of the paused downloads.
If that doesn't help, you may want to consider performing the following to be sure no software is conflicting with iTunes:
1.) Disable all anti-virus software you may have running
2.) Disable all firewall software you may have running
3.) Disable all web acceleration software you may have running
4.) If you are connected to the internet via an internet router, please disconnect it and connect directly via your broadband modem
Hope this helps =)

• ITunes 11 store fonts?

Is it just me or are the fonts in the iTunes store (iTunes 11) funky looking?  I cannot identify the font, but the prices are not clear, and it is very difficult to read.
Am I the only one with this problem?

I have the same problem. I find that font very difficult to read - it looks quite pixelated. I don't know if there is a workaround, but would certainly be interested to hear from anyone that has been able to solve this.

• So somehow while in itunes store i ended up zooming out to where the font is extremely small.  I don't know what to do to fix it back to the normal (auto) size.  What do I do???

I have a Toshiba laptop and sometimes i get to close to the edge of my mouse thing (it's just a square you brush your finger across to make it move).  Anyway I was looking through the itunes store for new music to get when somehow i caused it to look a lot smaller then it should (as if it zoomed out to less then 100%).  Is there any way I can get it back to normal size?

Hold down the ctrl key and roll the mouse wheel.

• I can't get my itunes store to work, it keeps giving the error (-1202)

Hello,
I'm really frustrated as I cannot get my itunes store to work, I've had problems with it for a while now and only just manged to get past one error, (error -9808), only to now get the error -1202. I'm running the most up to date version of itunes as I have just downloaded it, (I know it worked as I can now see the cloud feature on the menu), but no images appear on any of the interfaces; only small blue boxes with question marks in them. Plus all the text appears in a plain font that I know is not how it should appear. My own music collection is perfectly accessible, it's just the itunes store that shows the error message. I have unchecked the 'check for server revocation' box in internet options and restarted, and have checked my date and time are correct. I've tried to use a root certificate update as suggested in older threads but can't find one accepted as 'current' to run.
Any help appreciated, I really really need to update my iPhone, still on version 4.3.3 : (
Thanks!

Go to Settings >  App Store
Tap on your Apple ID
Sign out
Sign back in with the correct ID and password.
Then reboot your iPad:  Press and hold BOTH the power and home buttons at the SAME time for about 10 seconds until the Apple Logo appears, then let go of both buttons and your iPad will restart.  You won't lose any data or settings.
See if you can use the App Store normally after your iPad comes back up.

• ITunes Store Preview Script

I downloaded from "Doug's Scripts" a while back a script that once you ran it would start playing the preview of the first song of an album in the iTunes store, and it would then go to song 2 play it, then 3, and so on...
It now does not work in iTunes 9. Does any one know where I can get a script that will work? While working I run the script then scan through albums and if I like them I buy them. It is too distracting without the script because you have hit play on song 1, the hit play on song 2, etc....
Any thought or help with this would be appreciated.

Try this Helvetica font thing.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3042
After getting rid of the Helvetica font and the itunes store working, apparently you can just drag it right back out of the recycle bin:

My Helvetica font must be OK, since I never saw this problem.

• ITunes Store TEXT Size -----  No Way to Increase it.

The size of text for the iTunes Store is so small on a MacBook 13" screen you can hardly read it. Especially when they put a dozen or so titles (e.g. audiobooks) on one screen. Does anyone know if there is a simple way to increase the fonts displayed with the images? The good old Apple+ button combination doesn't work like on HTML pages.

Thanks...I had tried that but it creates all kinds of other inconveniences on a 13" screen. CHM

• ITunes store has script problems

when i go to the itunes store after opening iTunes, the descriptions below the album icons is in code or script instead of english. Some of the other info on the iTunes store homepage is also in code or script.

• Problems with song's names in iTunes Store

So, I have a problem with song's names in iTunes Store on my iPhone 6+ 128. with 8.2
You can see it on attached screens.
I tried to change the font size and erase the phone and then install it again by default. The problem manifests itself on 6+ and didn't on my iPad with the same program version.

That's really curious. Sorry I don't have anything else by way of potential solutions to offer, but it may be worth contacting Apple about this one.

• How to get bigger album art?? And how to change iTunes 10 font??

Hiya!!
I just wanna know is there any chance to get a bigger album art in this window:

I know that there was a way to get bigger album art in iTunes 9, but after recent iTunes update there's no way to get a bigger album art in this window!!
And the second question is that how do i change the font in iTunes 10?? In iTunes 9 it was iTunes.ttf and iTunes Bold.ttf, but non of those fonts are not working in iTunes 10.

santarick wrote:
The easiest way I have found to get acceptable album art is to go to Amazon music and copy and paste their album art into your Itunes info. Most, but not all, come up with very good quality and right size (large) As far as the font I have no idea.
I got the impression that the original poster was meaning that that wanted iTunes to display the album artwork at a larger size in the list view, not that the artwork itself needed to be bigger. The iTunes Store already provided 600x600 pixels artwork (Amazon only provides 500x500 pixels) so I don't think that is the problem.
I am not aware of a way of altering the list view to show the artwork bigger, but one can show the artwork in its own window at full size by turning on the 'show artwork for selected item' in the bottom left of the iTunes window, and then double-clicking on it to open it in its own window. It is also the case the other different views, like coverflow show the artwork at a bigger size than the list view.

• Upgraded to Itunes 10.5 yesterday and have no "text" at all only when I access Itunes Store, using Windows XP

Upgraded to 10.5 Itunes yesterday and have no "text" anywhere except in Itunes store. I do not even see the Toolbar drop menus up top (File, Help, etc.) I cannot make out any music in my library. I wish to upgrade my Ipad to IOS5 but am afraid to sync it because I won't see what I'm doing it. I saw a similar link where Windows may not have a Font and installed all uninstalled fonts to see if that would work, but did not. Do I need to uninstall Itunes and reinstall? I have Windows XP. Really not sure if it's an Apple/Itunes problem or a Windows problem. Haven't had any issues with any other updates.
Any help is appreciated....

So after a month of trying to figure all this out I FINALLY fixed the problem!
Before you do anything just go to your destop > right click personalize (this is for windows 7 - might be different for XP; I honestly forgot, but same idea) > find "window color" > select "advance appearance settings
(I think can be found by just typing "window color and appearance" in the search from the start menu).
Finally select "active title bar" (If the font is SEGOE UI, then following the link is the best thing to do; IF ITS NOT, I would think you can just follow the same steps and modify accordingly to how you want your fonts to look in iTunes). http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-desktop/how-to-change -system-default-font-in-all-parts/dfce15db-7337-420a-a42e-517521a8502e
Hopefully this helps!!! Worked for me!
