ITunes store has script problems

when i go to the itunes store after opening iTunes, the descriptions below the album icons is in code or script instead of english. Some of the other info on the iTunes store homepage is also in code or script.
I reinstalled iTunes but it did not fix the problem.

  • Itunes store has stopped working On windows 8

    with the most recent update of iTunes (2015, 12.1.1.4- or even later) The iTunes store has stopped working. Every time I open it a window pops up saying "ITunes has stopped working" and then I am forced to close the program and can't get back on it. I own a PC with windows 8. Previously I've never had this issue before. Even when I open ITunes in SAFE MODE the same window still pops up with "ITunes has stopped working'. What is happening and how can I fix this issue?

    You could try this.
    Back up all data.Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
    Right-click or control-click the line and select
    Services ▹ Reveal
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Reboot and test. If there's no change, restore the item you deleted from a backup, overwriting the one that may have been created in its place. Otherwise, you may need to recreate some of your settings in the Network preference pane.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select

    from the menu bar, paste into the box that opens (command-V). You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • My feeds are updating but the iTunes store has not updated

    I put my rss feed up on feedburner and all my feeds have updated but the iTunes store has not updated. I was wondering if there a simple explanation for it. Subscribers to the podcast have gotten the most recent update but the store hasn't reflected the new changes.

    When you add a new episode to your feed and upload it, it appears immediately for subscribers because their iTunes application reads the feed directly and the Store is not involved.
    However because of the huge number of podcasts in the Store (thousands) the Store caches the feed and checks it for updates periodically. For this reason it usually takes 1-2 days for new episodes to appear in the Store: sometimes it can be less, and occasionally the whole process seems to get stuck and it can take several days.
    All this assumes that you haven't made an error of some sort in adding your episode: it's not possible to comment on that unless you would like to publish the URLs of both your feed and the Store page - this latter can be found by control-clicking on the podcast image (or where it should be) - and choosing 'Copy link'.  Please include the http:// in both cases to make the links clickable.

    This tutorial for downgrading says you have to do this when that notice appears after you've downgraded:
    iTunes 10.5 upgrades the iTunes library file and won’t let you downgrade, so you will need the prior version library file. Here’s how to go about that
    5) You will need to rename iTunes Library.itl to iTunes Library.bak
    6) Go into the “Previous iTunes Libraries” folder where you will find several files with dates in their names. The most recent one will have the .itl extension, but the others don’t. Copy that to the parent folder ~/Music/iTunes/ and rename it iTunes Library.itl
    7) Congrats. You’re done.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Have you tried logging out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logged back in and seeing if it then works ?

  • ITunes Store Preview Script

    I downloaded from "Doug's Scripts" a while back a script that once you ran it would start playing the preview of the first song of an album in the iTunes store, and it would then go to song 2 play it, then 3, and so on...
    It now does not work in iTunes 9. Does any one know where I can get a script that will work? While working I run the script then scan through albums and if I like them I buy them. It is too distracting without the script because you have hit play on song 1, the hit play on song 2, etc....
    Any thought or help with this would be appreciated.

  • Itunes store : unacceptable usability problems

    This applies mostly to to the sections of the itunes store besides music (audio books, itunes university, podcasts, books etc)
    You need to fix the problems with the Itunes store search features. Apple has more money than the United States I have been told. Spend some of it on fixing your current software, not putting out new ones.
    Specific problems:
    1. The "power search" is a joke.
    2. There is no way to filter.
    3. I have complained many times in the past that the search results are unreadable because the column widths are too small to show any of the tittles…. I see that you have made a very sad and unsuccessful attempt at fixing it by making it 3 columns wide only when you shrink it to a very specific width manually.
    at 1250px wide : 5 col across - UNREADABLE
    at 1190px wide : 4 col across - UNREADABLE
    at 970px  wide : 4 col across, but now crunched together even more!! - UNREADABLE
    at 965 wide - jumps to 3 cols at max allowable width - this is the only acceptable view. It is really terrible that you should have to shrink your window manually bit by bit to find a spot where you can actually read the search results.
    There is also no reason why the search results cant have view modes such as "grid view - small" "grid view large" and "list"
    (I see that this does not apply to music search results)
    4. The useless icons take up most of the search result space.
    5. There are no sorting options for search results (most viewed, most recent, etc.  There are only sorting options for specific subsections with set results such as "noteworthy section" And even then, it is the bare minimal options of featured, date, alphabetical.
    6. There is no way to mark something as viewed / interested to make search results more effective.
    7. For ItunesUniversity, There is no enforcement to have universities number the files so they show up in the right order on an ipod. (right now they show up in upload order by date which is not always the correct content order.)
    8. There is no way to search for only audio or only video podcasts and itunesUniversity courses. or exclude video from the search results once you get them.
    9. The quick view popup window takes as long to load as the page would.
    10.  It would be a lot more effective if the "filter by media" had checkboxes, allowing the user to include audio, podcast, and university, but to exclude music and movies.
    11. It drives me nuts that all of the titles in the itunes store are cut off and have a  ... at the end, leading you to believe that if you mouse-over it, it will show a tooltip with the full title. This is not the case. There is no reason you cannot implement that
    Bad and frustrating.
    12. In Itunes 10.5 for Mac Osx 10.6.8 snow leopard (downloaded software - not the itunes store):
    When you view all of your subscribed and downloaded ItunesUniversity files, the list is stuck in "sort by release date". you cant sort them alphabetically or any other column header!

  • Itunes store log in problems

    A similar post might be in the forum already, but I could not find it, so sorry if this has already been asked. If it has been asked however a link to the post would be helpful.
    I recently did a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium edition on my lap top and aside from searching for new drivers and such have had no problems. I reinstalled the latest version of itunes, itunes 7.1.1.5 and have also had no problems with it until now. I wanted to purchase a cd through the itunes store, which I do rather infrequently. I have made an account before and purchased music no problem before running Vista. When I click buy music or whatever the option is a window appears asking me to log in. I proceed to log in and the window reappears but this time says "Please enter your apple ID or AOL screen name and password and click account info." It will do this repeatedly never allowing me to log in. This is not a password issue because if I enter the wrong password a different message appears telling me I have entered an incorrect password or ID. To be 100% sure that it was not my password I went and changed it through apple's website and still face the same issue. I have also tried buying another cd to see if it was an issue with the cd I wanted, and same issue. I have also tried to log in before buying the cd and same issue. This is obviously a very very annoying problem and any help anyone can lend would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

    Updates on question: I tried creating a new account with another one of my emails and I am having a different problem. It apparently logs in successfully but then it says this apple id has not been used with the itunes store and to review my billing information. Upon clicking review the page changes to "Your request could not be completed. Make sure your computer;s date is set correctly and that it accepts cookies from the Itunes Music Store. I clicked for more info and it tells me to set my date to auto sync which already was and the time is fine. For the cookies issue it says to install the latest version of itunes. So the cookies thing could be the problem. Does anyone know how to change my accepted cookies?

    There's an issue currently that a lot of us are experiencing in that we all get the error message "iTunes is currently unavailable; please try later"
    It's an issue with Apple and we're awaiting an update re this
    I've posted a topic in regards to this after having a long conversation with Apple support this morning and will be receiving a call from their tech team tomorrow to run through it further
    As it stands iTunes cannot be accessed via ATV's and nor can it be streamed via AirPlay from iTunes to the ATV
    However I can access all films/iCloud content via my Mac Mini with no issues!

    I explained them, i just bought iphone 5 second hand and started my own account and filled 200USD with itunes gift cards and i went local repair shop for my iphone 5 Home sleep mode bottom is not working. and after that, i clicked purchased a game and apple wouldn't let me, it said ( contact support ). I contacted them and explained and wait almost about 3 days their reply as i showed about that message.But i can purchase all free apps without problems but i changed my password to be secure and then i must need to verify my payment and i clicked none (because i have money in my credit store). however it said contact support. Now i am doomed , my account and my phone is useless now. Apple senior adviser strongly recommended i am better change devices to use.
    What a nice recommend! I am not rich , that's why i bought second hand iphone and get doomed. if i am able to buy other devices to use , how i contact apple for wasting my time. and the next is if i sell this phone again to others, the buyers will get troubles like me.     We are fellow users here on these forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    If you were using the US store when you weren't in the US then you are violating the store's terms of use (which you agreed to) :
    The iTunes Service is available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the iTunes Service from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance.
    If you were using your phone to purchase content from the US store when not in the US then that might be the unauthorised activity that they are referring to. If you contact iTunes Support and ask them to remove the balance from your account so that you can put your correct address on your account (you can't change countries whilst you have a balance) then you might be able to use the account.

  • Why is previewing songs in the iTunes Store causing a problem for me?

    I don't have a problem playing music in my iTunes library or navigating around it, my problem is in the iTunes Store. If I select 'See All >' after searching for something in particlar then select a song and start scrolling down the page it becomes unresponsive. The 'time elapsed' freezes but the music keeps playing and I can move my cursor around the page but the page itself is at best unbelievably slow to respond and at worst completely unusable until the preview ends. The CPU usage rises to around 30% and stays at about that, fluctuating slightly, until the music stops. I've tried uninstalling iTunes and the programs that come with it and reinstalling them all but that was a waste of time.
