ITunes store is busy...cannot register my replacement iphone 4

Hi there
got my new iPhone 4 replacement from the apple store.
I have plugged the iPhone back into my computer it requests for me to register the product
I have plugged it in and now it shows a message
Could not complete the iTunes Store request. The store may be busy.
Check your internet connection or try again later.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Disable your antivirus and firewall and try again.
If you have ever used tinyumbrella or recboot on this computer (not necessarily this iPhone) you have a different problem that will require fixing the network database that these programs corrupt.

    Hey Everyone, New to this so please be kind . I bought a second hand iPhone 3gs and when I received it, it had the Itunes logo and the usb sign on the screen.     I got it off ebay, The company says that if I send it back they will have a repair centre look at it and try and fix it..If they cannot fix it, I can get a refund or a replacement....So I can never use it I was hoping I could get a home fix without all the hassle..Have you ever had this problem with an iPhone?

    The apps in the iTunes Store are for a mobile device. Mac apps are in the Mac App Store.

    Efter att ha försökt att använda annat wifi fick jag samma problem dvs. kunde fortfarande inte göra uppdatering av mina appar. Jag prövade att ta bort flera stycken av dessa men det var ingen skillnad. På resa med ytterligare ett annat wifi lyckades det helt plösligt, vet inte varför. Får se om det blir samma problem nästa gång jag blir uppmanad att uppdatera appar.

    ITunes will be installed wrong or what should I do to activate these options?

    Go to the front page of the Store, and click Change Country.  Make sure it is set to the country where you actually are. 
    Then you will be able to see everything that is for sale in your country, which, depending where you live, might or might not include music.

    Thom_d, you mean your 4s work smoothly? my 4s also 32gb look to be more laggy especially playing asphalt8, infinity blade2, etc... the graphic will stop for few second while you racing.. Are you sure you didn't encounter this kind of problem? About battery life, it only last for 5hours without 3g services(only using wifi). Pretty shock saw what you mention above.

    How does it show in the Music app on your phone ? If it has the cloud icon against it then it is only in the cloud - you can turn off all cloud music via Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Music (under 'show all' heading) 'off, or you can hide that album via your computer's iTunes so that it doesn't show in the cloud (hiding and unhiding), or you can use the link in my above reply to remove it from your account.
    If you've downloaded it onto your phone (i.e. it doesn't have the cloud icon against it) then swipe/drag across tracks (from right-to-left if the phone is on iOS 7 or 8) in the Music app, or you can delete entire albums in iOS 8 by swiping/dragging from right-to-left across them

    I get a message that my ipad 2 and iphone 5 cannot connect to the itunes store when I try to sync a book to my book app. Although, when I click "store" both are able to access the itunes store. Why is this? Also I tried to open a book that was synced and a message that I did not have enough memory to load this book popped up--when I know that I have well over 40gb of memory left in my ipad and over 16gb left in my iphone. The message that I cannot connect to the itunes store is strange that it offers no option and I have to hit OK to get out and use my ipad or iphone.

    Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
    If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and changing the date to a few months (or maybe a year or two) in the future and then re-trying

    I have done all the usual  re boots on wifi and iPad, phone and so that is not the problem. I have 3 apps waiting to update bit they are stuck there, I cannot connect to iTunes Store and so you know I am not trying to connect to tunes! I am trying to update apps but cannot connect on either my iPad or iPhone. Changing the date does not work! Has anyone had this happen to them and if so how did you resolve it?

    For those who are getting annoyed, I have found a solution which requires you to create a new apple ID without using credit card information:
    1. Go the app store
    2. Hit cancel when it asks you to sign in (If it doesn't, continue to step 3)
    3. Find a free app and try to download it
    4.  you to sign in option will appear, it will ask you if you want to use existing ID or create a new apple id. SELECT CREATE NEW APPLE ID
    5. Follow the steps and when it gets to the stage it asks you for your card info, Choose 'None'
    6. Full in all you name and address etc... And click next.
    7. Verify your email and Enjoy downloading FREE apps
    8. Say thank you as I do appreciate your love :)

    i've even uninstalled mcaffee and i can't connect.

    ofcourse i wouldn't have bothered contacting you if i hadn't already
    a) checked the connection (and probable firewall difficulties) for a thousand times and downloaded all possible upgrades for windows xp (it's on auto-install anyway)
    b) uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of itunes a zillion times.
    thing is: itunes DOES work, it just seems to have problems connecting to the store (giving me -sometimes- a 11222 failure-code, if that means anything to you)
    apple software upgrades for my ipod has the same problem: it just can't connect to the apple servers i guess.
    i shut off th firwall and mcaffee and tried it all over again: still no progress
    maybe i overlooked something but in the meanwhile i feel like a total pc-noob.

  • Where are the TV shows hiding in iTunes Store?  I cannot find any TV programs for purchase as before

    I have long been purchasing TV shows from the iTunes store, especially when I am traveling to Europe for work.  I did this as recently as two weeks ago.  I am now unable to locate a "TV" category in the iTunes store or find any specific show or episode for preview or purchase.  I am using a MacBookPro but am at a loss for what is up.  Any help??

    Which country's iTunes Store are you using? Check the flag icon at the very bottom of the main iTunes Store window. It's possible you've inadvertently changed to a country where TV shows are not available.

  • My itunes downloads from the itunes store stop   I cannot get them to resume

    Twice now I have been unable to complete download installations of music purchased from the iTunes store. 
    I just received the preordered Beatles album, it is in my itunes downloads, indicates the download arrow moving at the top of the screen but nothing is happening.  It has been 10 hours now and nothing is working.  It shows up in albums, but is light gray and does not play, it shows up in downloads, has as circle next to it, again...nothing.   I tried to troubleshoot following the support suggestion that instructs to shut down the computer.  Itunes won't allow this to complete.  I receive the messsage "THE ITUNES STORE IS DOWNLOADING - ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO QUIT"? 
    NOTHING IS WORKING...HELP....PLEASE?

    The very first thing that I would try is to restart your iPad and try again. Hold down on the sleep/power button until the slider appears on the screen and slide to the right to power off. Hold down on the sleep/power button until the Apple logo appears on the screen to resetrt the iPad, after it starts up, try the download again.
    Another thing to try is to reboot your router. I realize that your WiFi is working, but sometimes this can kick start problematic downloads. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. Try the download again after the router starts up.
    Something else to try that involves a few more steps ..... Close the iTunes Store app. Sign out of your Apple ID. Reset the iPad and then try again.
    Double tap the home button and swipe up on the iTunes Store thumbnail preview window to close the app. Tap the home button. Go to the home screen. Go to Settings>iTunes & App Store> Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen and then let go of the buttons and let the iPad start up.
    Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Sign in. Go back to the iTunes Store app and try to resume the download.
