ITunes Store is Temporaily unavailable error message
I have 2 pending downloads that I cannot retrieve and when I try to download them in iTunes, I get the following message:
Unable to check for purchases.
ITunes is temporarily unavailable.
Please try again later.
I have tried clearing the DNS, turned off all blockers and firewalls. I have been able to purchase music and access the store with no problems.
ITunes version: 7.2
Any support would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. It appears that the servers chuck a hissy fit if you don't download your purchases in a timely fashion. I used the 'report a problem' feature in my iTunes account to contact customer support via email. They replied about 24 hours later, reset my download cue and the problem has now been resolved.
Hope this helps you solve your issue.

Every time I try to connect to the iTunes Store I get this error message
"iTunes could connect to the iTunes Store. The host is down.
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

My internet connection is fine.
Anyone know how to fix this? Every reference I have found is old, nothing recent like Lion or newest ver of iTunes.

When I access the itunes store I get an error message saying that Itunes has detected a problem and has to be closed. The rest of Itunes is working fine... Any help?
There could be any number of items causing this. First off is do you have an active internet connection? If so have you tried rebooting you computer?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -

Hi,
I am going on iTunes and it is saying that I am not connected to the internet but I am. I was on iTunes last a few days ago. Please help...
iTunes is a program on your computer, it is not "the Internet". The fact that the program runs has no bearing on Internet connectivity.
Maybe if a little more information was supplied, like version of the Operating system on the computer and version of iTunes, then a little more assistance could be provided. -

when I try to access iTunes Store I get an error message stating feature not available in the uk store
Exact same thing is happening to me. Couldn't find where to view the Itunes version number after a quick look. I hate the "simplified" interface by the way. On windows 8.1. Really starting to hate itunes, very buggy, and apple device locked down content (I'm looking at you TV shows and Movies) make it a pain to use.

Whenever I try to download songs from iTunes store I get an error message
I just got my Ipod and when I tried to download songs from the iTunes store I just got an error message, but it took my money. A sample message read,
"There was a problem downloading 'I Walk the Line/ With His Hot and Blue Guitar/ Johnny Cash"
The file seems to be corrupted. To redownload file, choose "Check for Purchases" from the Store menu.
I tried the "Check for Purchases" several times, but I just got the same message. I then went to the Downloads menu/page where another message was displayed under Status,
zero KB of 2.6 MB - stopped (err = -100008)
Please help me. I don't want to have wasted my money for nothing.Hi ...
Might be a Wi-Fi issue...
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Now restart the iPad.
Restart your device: Hold the power button until "slide to power off" appears. Slide to power off. After it is off, press the power button to turn it back on. -

When I try to connect my IPad to ITunes store, I get a message "cannot connect to ITunes store".
Hello, Darktowerfan1.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
Here are a couple articles that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue.
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.
