ITunes Store language settings or using an overseas store?

Is there any way to change the Japan iTunes Store interface to display English instead of Japanese?
Or failing that, is there any way to use the US or UK stores if I only have a Japan credit card?

"Is there any way to use the US or UK stores if I only have a Japan credit card?"
No I'm afraid there's not. Unless you can show some form of residency you cannot buy from another country's store. The question on cross store purchasing is asked frequently so I'll just quote the most complete answer (courtesy of Dave Sawyer) from the many given:
In order to buy from any given country's iTunes Music Store, you must have either:
a) a credit card with a billing address in that country, or
b) a mailing address in that country and a gift certificate or a prepaid card that was bought in that country.
If you cannot fulfill one of these two sets of conditions, you will not be able to purchase from any given country's iTMS.
.......this is due to restrictions placed on Apple by the record companies and other rights holders (who are often completely different from country to country and so all require their own individual negotiations and contracts), not by Apple's choice. And this also applies to all the legal download stores that carry major-label content, not just the iTMS.

  • ITunes Store Language Settings

I am an American living in Mexico. I understand that I need to use the
Mexico store. My question is: can I change the language to English for
the Mexico store. I see on the apple website that you have a Latin
America (English) option. Can I have this option in the iTunes Store?
    Thank You for your time.

If you wish to run iTunes in a language that is not the default for the country that you are living in (and therefore paying from), the iTunes helpdesk point to this article. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2242 . This article indicates that the iTunes store should pick up the language you have assigned to your MAC, however this is incorrect. iTunes picks up the language from the country you designate you are paying from.
You can change the country by using the flag button at the extreme bottom of the iTunes home page, however this will allow you to find the things you want, but you must change it back to actually purchase the content.
If you think, as I do, that this is a fault with their system, the ONLY option you have is to complain to their helpdesk, email address [email protected] If you ask to have the e-mail referred to Ashley, maybe the sheer weight of complaints will get this sorted.

  • HT2242 iTunes Store language settings

Is there a way to change language of iTunes Store language for the desired one, while being merged to a particular country (Eg. Chinese account in English language)?

It's hard for me to manage through navigation menus which are in Chinese.
In case I do steps from post (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2242) it all restores when I log back in...

  • Sending completed GB projects to iTunes. What settings to use?

What are the correct settings, for completed audio files in GB, using an external microphone, being sent to Itunes? (MP3 of AAC better?) What should the bit rate be? What "Quality" setting should be used for the best final product? Should "use VBR" be checked?

If you want CD-Quality, disable the "compress" button. Then you will exort AIFF-file. Best Audio quality, but very large file size.
If you want a moderate file size, use mp3 or aac. The aac-quality is slightly better, but not all systems can read the files. If you want to share to windows systems, use mp3.
I don't see "use VBR" in my export panel using GB '11

  • HT201266 It's saying I need to log into iTunes to be able to use the App Store, but it won't let me log into iTunes because it says I need to log into iTunes which makes no sense whatsoever to me any help? Thanks

if if anyone can help me out i would be so thankful

Go to the main iTunes store screen.
Go to the very bottom right of thes creen and click flag/marble icon.
    Select the US store.
Instead of selecting *Create account*, select Redeem.
Input the card number then select Create new account (unless you already have an iTunes account then use that).
If these iTunes gift cards are from the US, you need to create a US iTunes account with a US address.

  • HT204053 I would like to have one apple ID and sign in for the Australian Apple Store and for the New Zealand Apple Store without it asking me to switch stores. Is this possible?

I would like to have one apple ID and sign in for the Australian Apple Store and for the New Zealand Apple Store without it asking me to switch stores. Is this possible? If not can I setup two stores (one in each country) using the same email address and same password (both and / or either)?

An iTunes account can only be used in one store at a time, and you need to be in that country with a valid billing address on your account for that country in order to use it there. An email address can only be linked to one account, so if you want two separate iTunes accounts then you will need two email addresses

Settings>Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...sign back in with the ID you want to use.
Note: Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any other Apple ID other than the one they were originally obtained with.

  • Can I access the I Tunes Store on different computers using my settings?

I see that I can't download apps etc. Unless I'm connected to a computer and wonder if I can use my settings and go on someone elses computer to download apps?

Oh my. You need to start doing a little manual reading with your iPad. You download apps directly to your iPad by using the App Store app that comes with it. You need to sign into your iTunes store account (you need to be online, obviously). Sign in under "Account" at the bottom of the "Featured" screen. Any apps you've purchased elsewhere will be available for free download this way on your iPad as long as you purchased them using the same account you log into the store with here. And yes, the only way you can get applications onto your iPad is this way or by syncing to a computer where you bought them through iTunes.

  • Change country or language settings - iTunes match

I've subscribed for iTunes match and now I'd like to change my country or language settings from Germany to Holland. If I need to unsubscribe iTunes match then how do I do it. I could not find any option to unsubscribe iTunes match in Itunes.

Your best route is to call Apple direct, explain what you are trying to do and work with the pointers they provide.
To unsubscribe, you would need to go into your current account, de-select options for automatic renewal.  De-authorise your computers and sign out of iTunes - but it is worth assessing with Apple whether this will achieve what you need.
The rule to watch is the one that requires 90 days to elapse before you can use your computer with another Apple Id - it may be that there is no neat route around this deliberate service restriction that Apple have designed in - other than the obvious, to use a second computer (or an emulator on your current computer).

  • ITunes Store language mixup

    Hello everyone,
I have a very annoying issue with the iTunes Store: my MacBook Pro is setup in English, I've removed every other language from my computer, but I still get half of my Store pages in Dutch. I live in Belgium so i'm forced to use the Dutch Store but I don't see why I can't use the Store in English.
Most of the textbox headers in the Store are in English (e.g. QUICK LINKS, MORE IN MUSIC, IN THE SPOTLIGHT) but dialog boxes are in Dutch and so are other options. I wouldn't really mind if it was fully in either language, but this mixed thing is bugging me.
Is this a known problem with iTunes and the iTunes Store or is there an easy way to fix it. I would prefer to have everything in English.
Thanks in advance for any tips.

Try this. Not sure if it will work.
Make copy of the iTunes application.
Select the copy of the iTunes application and get info.
Under the Languages tab, delete everything except English.
Launch this and see what happens.
If it doesn't work, just quit and delete it and use the original.
However, this will only affect any dialogue boxes that are in the iTunes application. Any dialogs which originate from the iTunes store website, will most likely still be in Dutch.
After thinking about it for a second, you probably won't notice any change.
Your Mac OS is set up for English, so it will use the English language from the iTunes app. It most likely won't even look at Dutch.

  • TS1646 I use and overseas credit card for purchases but Itunes is insisting on a credit card issued within NZ where I live.?

Why can I not use and overseas credit card for purchases?  My account information is insisting on a credit card issued within my country of residence..?

iTunes doesn't allow a credit card that was issued by a bank in another country (possibly because it's a way of confirming that you are able to buy from a country's store) - you will only be able to use a credit card issued by a New Zealand bank. Or you could use iTunes gift cards as your payment method, as far as I can see they are available in New Zealand.

  • I bought the wrong gift card. I wanted to buy an itunes gift card but instead I accidentally got Apple store gift card via email. How can I buy an itunes gift card using my apple store gift card?

I Wanted to buy itunes gift card but instead I got apple store gift card accidentally how can I buy itunes gift card using my apple store gift card?

You can't from Apple, they don't let you buy iTunes gift cards with an Apple Store gift card. You could see if a different store in your country might let you (though they possibly won't), or try selling the card to somebody e.g. family, friend, eBay etc
