ITunes Store Loading

Has anyone experienced the iTunes store loading very slowly over the last couple of months? If so, any reasons why?

As per nathan_reid above, this works:
http://www.opendns.com/start/windows_xp.php
Mine wasn't working tonight. Went to this website, followed the instructions, and hey presto - it works!
Don't bother with iPrimus technical support - they haven't got a clue.

1) The best way to relocate the iTunes library folder is to move the entire iTunes folder with all subfolders to the new path, then press and hold down shift as start iTunes and keep holding until prompted to choose a library, then browse to the relocated folder and open the file iTunes Library.itl inside it.
If you've done something different then provide some more details about what is where and I should be able to help.
2) Purchases on the device should automatically transfer to a Purchased on <DeviceName> playlist, but it my depend a bit on whether automatic iCloud downloads are enabled. If there is a cloudy link then the transfer might not happen. You can use File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. In iTunes you should also check out iTunes Store > Quick Links > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer.
3) Backup the device, then immediately restore it. In some cases you need to add a restore as new device into that equation. Obbviously not to be attempted until you're sure all your media is in your library. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device should it be needed.
4) I believe there is complimentary 1 incident 90-day support with hardware purchases, but no free software support for iTunes itself. AppleCare gets you a different level of support.

• The iTunes Store loaded a U2 album on my iPhone I did not order

The iTunes Store loaded a U2 album on my iPhone I did not order. Did someone hack my account? I don't see any charges for these on my credit card. How do I delete these? They use up too much memory on my iPhone. How do I prevent this from happening again?

How does it show in the Music app on your phone ? If it has the cloud icon against it then it is only in the cloud - you can turn off all cloud music via Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Music (under 'show all' heading) 'off, or you can hide that album via your computer's iTunes so that it doesn't show in the cloud (hiding and unhiding), or you can use the link in my above reply to remove it from your account.
If you've downloaded it onto your phone (i.e. it doesn't have the cloud icon against it) then swipe/drag across tracks (from right-to-left if the phone is on iOS 7 or 8) in the Music app, or you can delete entire albums in iOS 8 by swiping/dragging from right-to-left across them

What exactly happens when you try to sync?
Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
If so have you done anything like update iTunes on the computer since it last successfully synced?
Do the songs play in iTunes?

• Why wont the iTunes store load in my iTunes?

Hi, my name is Garrett and i am a 13 year old boy why loves music and cant get his itunes to work. i have tried completely wiping my computer clean then reloading windows 7 then reloading all my files and last installing a freash new version of itunes, and jst today i updated to 10.6 or something like that, but it still had the same problem. i have a 3.5 year old dell inspiron laptop with an intel pentium prossesor and to my knowlage this has nothing to do with it. so iTunes opens just fine but when i attempt to open the itunes store it just has that striped loading line at the tope of the page that jst keeps going and going and going and never stops. i left my computer on for an intire day to prove to my self that i either have the slowest computer on earth or iTunes store doesn't work. so i tried opening it through my Quicktime player and it had the same problem exept when i closed the window and error came up and the number was 11222. all i need is for iTunes to work otherwise i am stuck to only lisening to music from other websites and not on the go. i am fed up with iTunes not working and them taking down that "email the support guy" thing and the fact that they left some of us in the dust not knowing what to do. if someone could please help that would be great:) if not...well then ill have to wait till i get a job and can earn enough money to buy a new computer.
Thanks,
Sincerely, Garrett

With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

iTunes used to load the iTunes Store up to now & I haven't been on the iTunes Store for weeks. Can somebody please help me with this issue?

Sometimes the store takes a while to load. If it doesn't load try re-installing your iTunes.

• ITunes store loads to a blank white page!

Whenever I try to load the iTunes store, it pops up for literally 2 seconds and then goes to a blank white screen. Everytime! I have iTunes 9.1 but I do not want to upgrade to 10.2.1 because people say that 10.2.1 has some serious problems. Apple seriously needs to fix this, many people have this problem. Do you? Its so frustrating! Someone, help!!

I had the same problem too. What I had to do to fix the problem is to uninstall ALL Apple programs including Quicktime, Apple Update, MobileMe etc. After uninstalling everything, I rebooted my computer then reinstalled iTunes only. After reinstalling iTunes the iTunes store came up. Hopefully this will work for you and anyone else having the same trouble.

• Why won't the iTunes store load!!!

When I click on the "iTunes Store" button on the left hand side of the screen, there is a blank page and the loading bar says "Accessing iTunes Store", it gets half way and then freezes. However sometimes, it does load but there is no formatting on. I am sure it is not my firewall because I have checked and it is not my Internet connection because it works on other computers running windows 7. I have tried re downloading and repairing the software but nothing has happened. Please could someone help me because it is really annoying. P.S. I have never been able to access it since i got my laptop.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

• ITunes store loads, but only shows a white screen. Help?

I have a Mac and the most up to date version of itunes. Whenever I try to open the itunes store, the "accessing itunes store" bar loads all the way, but nothing ever pops up, its just an empy white screen.
My internet connection is perfectly fine as well, and I've restarted my computer multiple times.
Also, I'm running 10.6.8, Snow Leopard, but I don't necessarily want to upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Help?

Hello lxjoseolexl,
I found an article with steps you can take when you are not able to connect to the iTunes Store. I recommend following the steps in the section titled "Troubleshooting on a Mac" in this article:

• ITunes Store won't load up!

Ok, please bare with me as this is a pretty convoluted problem and one I've fruitlessly wrestled with for a few days now.
The iTunes Store in iTunes won't load up and just gives me a never ending white page with the following on the page:
''One Moment Please.Connecting to the iTunes Store.Loading If iTunes doesn't open, click the iTunes application icon in your Dock or Windows Task Bar.''
Now I'm sure most will realise this is the holder page you'd get in your internet explorer when it pings iTunes with a store link to load, and it was when I clicked an iTunes link in Internet Exploroer 8 that this page first appeared in iTunes.
If I try to sign in, I get the (-50) unknown error, and despite all this I am abl to still comunicate with the store - if I right click on a podcast series I've already got in my libary and click 'Update Podcast' I can download podcasts through it giving me a list of undownloaded ones in the series listings in my podcast libary.
I've tried the basics; re-innstalling iTunes and restoring my system to a previous point, but nothing has rid me of this pretty deabilitating problem, and there's such a mmuddle of different problems like tihs it's hard to really get a grip on what's the issue when I'm searching here and elsewhere so I'm, hoping someone here would kindly lend me a hand and give me some directions!
I'll post a copy of a diagnostics run in my next post so you'll have all the information that's needed.
